Quality Equipment
I though I’d do an update on our PaHa Que pamo valley tent. My first report was July 05.Since that time we’ve been camping many times. This tent has seen it all. From 3 inch rain storms in the Arizona mountains to Ice storms in the Colorado Rockies. I’ve been camping all my life ( 56yrs.) and have never had any product hold up as well as the PAHA Que. It’s seen high winds and driving rains and it does not leak, bend or break. The quality materials and engineering make this the best value of any tent on the market.
If you don’t mind the price and you want a tent that last, this is the one. Thanks PaHa Que.Keep up the good work.

Great Tent
We bought our Pamo Valley from Altrec about 3 years ago, it is the best tent we've ever bought. If anything, this tent was over-engineered from a quality and features standpoint. We can't seem to break it, no matter what kinda weather we get into. Plenty of room for my husband and I and our two kids, I highly recommend this tent based on our experiences with it. Paha Qu seems to make quality stuff, we're going to get the Tepee Shower tent next spring.
awesome tent
We were a little apprehensive about the price, but after a week of heavy NW wind and rain, and watching many other tents collapse, we have no regrets. Set up was a little difficult the first time, but after that it was not a problem. Just having that much room to stand up was nice. The way it held up to the bad weather was better than we expected. We're happy.

First Class Camping
My wife and I are wilderness campers. We don't saty in organized camp grounds. We prefer the privacy of the wildwrness. The PaHa-Que Pamo-Valley makes that wilderness seam like downtown at the Hilton. This tent is all about comfort.Large dosen't describe the feeling once inside. It's like a large master beedroom. It has very large doors and windows for lots of ventalation. We love out tent. For Arizona camping it's Great!!!
Spacious
I have had this tent for 2 years in all kinds of weather. It lives very large for it's size. However it is not without it's problems. The walls act like sails and catch even the lightest of breezes which make the use of several guylines essential. On one windy campout, the guylines actually broke the plastic stake in half, resulting in unusable tent poles. I had to pack up for home. Also, the elastic tiebacks for the windows and doors wick water inside, resulting in puddles on the floor during modest rains. The tent also came with one of these tiebacks missing on the fly. The corners on the floor have small holes along the stitching that hold the nylon stake straps. Customer service is very friendly and accomodating, but I am tired of calling them.
Great materials, lousy tent
With my family expanding by two babies, I needed a bigger tent and, based on some research, decided on the Paha Que's Pamo valley. Fell in love with it during the first camping as it was big enough for four of us. More importantly, I could stand up straight. End of first camping, found one of the poles bent, called Paha Que and received a replacement pole promptly.
Second trip the weather turned nasty (wind and rain) during the night. The tent started to get whipped around literally bouncing us around. Found the upwind guylines all over the place in the morning. Even the two corner stakes were uprooted. The tent was dry on the inside, though.
The third trip was with weather getting warmer, opened the flap on the window and while closing it, the zipper broke. Noticed a caterpillar crawling into the tent. Upon closer inspection the tent had ripped in one corner. Called Paha Que and arranged for the tent to be sent to them on my dime. The person I talked to mentioned putting some "extra material" in the corner. I told him if he means a patch, I do not want a patched tent that I had paid $500 for and used three time for a grand total of eight days. Got the tent back and it had the "extra material", a patch, that is.
Since I bought the tent from altrec.com, I will be testing their unconditional warranty by returning it.
Bottom line: It is a spacious tent made with quality materials. The construction is dubious, based on my experience. But, if you can make sure that you never camp on a windy day and do some proactive preventative repairs to the zippers so that they dont run off the end, that is just casually tucked under the tent material, you might enjoy it. The shape of the tent makes it a behave like a BIG sail.
Customer Service:
Courteous. Responsive unless they feel what they have to say might not be received too kindly.
