Unless you habitually glissade down serrated talus slopes, you're probably looking at the last bibs you'll ever need for mountaineering and skiing. Constructed with durable, triple-ply GORE-TEX® XCR™ laminate, the Arc'teryx Alpha SV Bib features a combination of lightweight 420NR nylon and 530N abrasion-resistant reinforcements designed to accentuate mobility without compromising comfort and coverage. The seat and knees are articulated for an extended range of motion and the insteps have durable Schoeller® Keprotec™ cut patches to protect the lower hems from sharp ski edges. The exposed WaterTight™ side zips are completely free of flaps (for fast access) but stop short of the harness and hipbelt regions around your lower torso. This allows you to remove boots or increase ventilation without dealing with the hassle of the side zips separating beneath your harness.
