So warm!
January 19, 2013

This jacket is amazing, and it fits a small adult! Great for standing outside watching cold soccer matches. The Hood fits snugly, and it's a nice color. I'll probably wear this for years.

Great jacket
February 13, 2013

This jacket is very warm. It is perfect for East Coast winters! The sizing is a little small; the sleeves are short. But, it is extremely warm, light, and comfortable. Perfect for sub 30 temperatures.

runs big!
January 31, 2013

I got this jacket in Peat Brown in Large (12) and it runs HUGE! This is actually my first Patagonia purchase and so I'm not sure if this is the case with all Patagonia jackets. But I'm used to buying The North Face for my kids (age 10, 7, and 4# and I find TNF to run a tad smaller. Granted this is a parka so it should be longer - but from the side of the neck where the neck and shoulder seams come together straight down to the bottom hem is 26" long! My 10-year old who is starting to wear TNF's large jackets is swimming in this jacket in large #too big for him right now#, so I'd say L 12 is more like XL 14/16? I wear TNF women's medium jackets, and although the sleeves are too short and it is a little bit tight around the hip, I can actually wear this jacket zipped up all the way and it comes down to the bottom of my hip! The color, Peat Brown, isn't a true chocolate brown like I'd thought from my computer screen, but it's more like metalic brown with a hint of green in it, sort of like bronze. It would actually work either for a boy or a girl. This would be my son's church coat and definitely would keep him super warm & dry without the bulk in a day like today where the windchill is -10 degrees!

Pros: Build quality, Performance

Light weight, but very warm
February 19, 2013

I love Patagonia brand, specially Down Parka. It is very light weight compare to other brands' down parka, but it is so warm, and true to size. Peat Brown color looks nice as well. My son loves his new parka.

Lightweight
April 20, 2012

Got this for my boy as a technical jacket for use on Mt. Washington. Very lightweight and packable. Nice "metallic" color. Like the 2-way zipper for partial ventilation. Hood is not helmet compatible and cannot be held rolled up. Not sure if it would widthstand rough handling in the schoolyard, due to the nice, but perhaps lightweight outside fabric.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
