Solid Pack

Lots of useful pockets and good padding for lap tops. The straps are awkwardly situated requiring the wearer to tweak the tightness of the straps in order to get a comfortable fit- but then again, I might just have funky shoulders. The pack is effective at repelling rain, snow and coffee.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of useGreat College Backpack

I love this backpack. I am currently a student at Cornell University, and I do a lot of walking, and carrying books and my laptop. This performs tremendously. The laptop pouch fits my 15.6" laptop very nicely, but my one complaint is that a glasses you have have in the top glasses pocket, which I love because i need them for class, but don't prefer to wear them around, tend to get in the way when removing the laptop. However, the back panel can be bent away to get them out of the way. The way the laptop is raised of the bottom of the bag and the padding at the bottom of the pocket make laptops secure. The weight distribution, especially with the sternum strap, and the removable hip belt if that suits you, is great. I don't feel like I'm tipping backward with 2 textbooks and my laptop. Everything feels very secure and natural: no odd strains. I particularly like the way the backpack naturally sits high on the back. Also, the organizer in the front pocket does an excellent job of keeping things in place, while there is ample room at the bottom of the pocket for larger items, such as my graphing calculator. The water protection seems to be pretty good as well, as it was down-pouring the other day and everything in the bag stayed nice and dry. I cannot peak for the durability of the backpack as I have not owned it long enough for it to wear, but it seems to be well-made and sturdy
Pros: Great design, Ease of use, weight distribution, Cons: laptop accessDid you recently buy the Patagonia Fuego Pack? Write a review.

This pack has all the essentials I need for graduate school - it's huge, has handy pockets for water, pens, books and the padded laptop case fits a 13" and 15" mac without any problems whatsoever. Even when it's stuffed, it still looks sleek. Highly recommended.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Great valueGood daypack

I bought this for school and it is a nice pack. I would buy it again. Complaints: the laptop compartment can be a little troublesome when extracting your laptop, but not overly so. Patagonia could put a zipper exterior to this pocket, lengthwise, to facilitate easy removal without opening the bag's main compartment. This pack does collapse (taco) a little on itself when sparsely loaded. Some low positioned compression straps would be nice. There is a buckle for the hydration bladder - a simple loop would be a nice addition to the area for easier hanging. Overall the complaints are minor, it is a good bag. Be aware this is probably a little on the large side for a school bag but I am a science major and the extra size is welcome.
