Built lean and exceptionally clean for climbing, mountaineering and dry weather skiing, Patagonia's Lightweight R4® Jacket gives you superb windproof protection without trapping your mobility inside a bunch of constraining fleece. The design sandwiches warm Polartec® Windblock® fleece with a windproof laminate and dabs you dry with a lightweight and highly breathable R1® Polartec® Power Dry® lining. In key spots beneath the sleeves the R1® fabric doesn't feature a laminate to allow vapor and moisture to escape quickly before it can condense on the inside of the Lightweight R4® Jacket. If you're hiking, climbing or camping in cold and dry conditions, this jacket keeps you comfortable without a lot of extra layers, but keep a waterproof shell handy for any anticipated accumulations of rain and snow.
