This is the ultimate, durable yet lightweight, highly-breathable soft-shell/hard-shell ski jacket for the demands of constant motion through variable conditions in both the backcountry and frontcountry.

Freshly brewed skies with their ominous clouds are no match for the weather-beating combination of hard-shell and soft-shell fabrics found in our Light Smoke Flash Jacket. The lightweight, supple soft-shell provides a high degree of breathability for going the distance under a full head of steam, and 2-way stretch to enhance athletic moves. Two-layer waterproof reinforcements over the shoulders and the backs of arms maintain alpine durability along with storm performance. Pit zips vent excess heat when you?ve reached the boiling point on long boot paths, and the Welded Seam construction increases stuffability and softness, reduces weight, and provides absolute wet-weather protection. The textured mesh interior moves moisture away from the body and glides snaglessly over layers. Other inside features include a stretch powder skirt, a stealthy lift-ticket holder, a large mesh drop-in pocket for skins, and a zippered security pocket. With articulated elbows, two zippered chest pockets (one is for an audio device) and two torso pockets that also serve double-duty as fast-forward vents.

Great Jacket
This jacket is the best I have had so far. The pitzips are great when you're doing an aerobic activity. The length of the jacket is just right - not too short and not too long. The cut allows for layering as well. Even if you don't wear it to go skiing, it looks great to be worn in town for an evening stroll or dinner. I would recommend this to anyone.

Great Jacket

Perfect if you run warm
Perfect jacket for skiing if you want more than a single layer shell but you heat up easily like me. Soft shell technology, pit zips plus both chest and hand pockets can be opened for ventilation. well thought out storage options, mix of materials work well, cut is great, moderate drop in the back for coverage. This jacket would probably soak through in a pounding rainstorm, but duh, it's a ski jacket. Also stylish enough to wear to dinner in town for dinner. I zipped the hood off and the collar folds over nicely.

awesome jacket!
I would really recommend this jacket. I have been a fan of Patagonia for a while and this jacket lives up to the standards for sure. I just used it for a snowboard trip in Colorado and was not disappointed. It has a nice fit with good range of motion. The jacket breathes really well too. I felt comfortable all the time whether I was flying down the mountain or sitting in the snow. A great shell to have!

Great composition!
I am most impressed with the composition of this amazing jacket. The hard shell shoulders and helmet hood shed any snow and light rain. The soft shell body gives great mobility and breathability. I can wear it whether it is 70 degrees or 10 degrees outside.
