Pair these lightweight hiking socks with a stripped-down pack and some awe-inspiring terrain. They feature variable-knit construction under the mid-foot and arch to disperse heat and cushion hard knocks. A new trio of fibers improves moisture control and airflow: merino wool (100% chlorine-free) for soft comfort and life-of-the-sock cushioning, nylon for trail durability and polyester to wick away moisture. These fibers are "sandwiched" together to bolster skin comfort and durability. The seamless Lintoe® construction adds nonchafing solace to trail-weary toes. Made in USA.

I have owned Patagonia socks for the last 6 years, starting with the medium and heavyweight versions, and I bought these lightweight crew socks recently. These socks are like the other Patagonia socks, in that they are extremely comfortable, keep your feet dry no matter how strenous the activity, do not overheat, and last for a long time. The first pair to sprout holes did so only after 5 years. Apart from hiking, my wife and I now only wear Patagonia socks for daily use, with the lightweight crews great for spring to fall use, and when shoe fit is too tight to permit the use of medium weight versions.

For quite a while the Smartwool Lightweight Hiking Socks have been my favorite all-around sock. But now that I've used the Patagonia Lightweight Hiking Crew Socks for a variety of activities I'm beginning to think these will take over the Number 1 spot. They hug the foot without causing itch, remain dry no-matter how hard the workout, and keep the feet warm in chilly conditions. So far they're holding-up real good and if they can continue to stand-up to the wear and tear like I think they will, soon I will order more and [decl-are ]them my favorite.

I bought several pairs of these and wore them for the length of my John O Groats to Lands End walk last fall; with a pair of midweight hiking boots and temps in the 50s-70s they were just right. As another person noted they did get fuzzy/pilly, but no holes yet and with the ironclad guarantee you can return them if they do sprout holes.

I wore these socks this weekend while snowshoeing. I was wearing my salomon trail runners and these socks while breaking trail and they seemed to keep my feet nice and toasty. I little concerned that they aren't going to last a long time because they are starting to get a little fuzzy.
They are super warm and itch free!
