Men's Active Sport Boxer Brief 4.4 5 33 33
Great Backpacking Underwear I wore these underwear on a 22 mile backpack trip through Rocky Mountain National Park. They are very lightweight, comfortable, and wick the moisture away. I also noticed that, after three days of wearing them, there wasn't a noticeable smell as with other underwear. I highly recommend these underwear for hiking and backpacking. Fit seems standard. Not So Bad I have purchased several different pairs of Patagonia briefs, boxers, and long undewear. I love the stuff and wouldn't buy anything else. I decided to try a few different types of Patagonia briefs etc, and along with some others, purchased these. These are well made, and fit well - for the most part. However, the slight problem I do have with this style is that I find that the elastic around the upper thighs fits and feels great, but the elastic around the waist seems a bit saggy. I do work out hard and my quads are of decent size but not huge. So, while I feel snug - and thats good - around the legs - I feel a little loose around the waist - and that''s not so good. That is why i give it four stars and not five. December 4, 2010
Excellent Performance I've tried many different pairs of performance boxer briefs, and these are the best. I am 6' tall with a lean build, except for my mtneer's thighs. These briefs stay in place better than most, not inching up on my thighs. I've had them out on several multi-day adventures, and they were comfortable throughout. The fabric is so comfortable and supportive against the skin that I can forget I'm wearing them. There is no biting in by stiff elastics or seams. It's too soon to know how well they last, but I've been running my one pair pretty hard for a month and a half and they still look and feel new. My search for the best boxer briefs is over! Amazing! I did not believe these underwear would actually do what people said they would do, but I could not believe when they held no odor the day after an intense workout. These briefs are comfortable, light, and have no bulky seems on them. I bought a second pair as soon as I wore the first pair for a day. A little pricey but definitely worth it! November 12, 2010
Hole near seam after 1.5 days. Enjoyed the feel and wicking properties of the material, however, was disappointed with a small hole that formed near the seam. Noticed the hole after about a day and a half. Not sure when it formed. I suggest that the material be made a little thicker, and the seams sturdier. They could be an outstanding product. Good for the gym I teach MMA and these mens active briefs are the only ones I purchase. September 28, 2010
great These are incredibly comfortable and easy to dry. I use them on long runs and backpacking trips and they give you plenty of support as well as just the right amount of warmth in cold temps! September 20, 2010
My my my! JUST got off the water on a week long canoe/backpacking trip in extreme northern Minnesota. Purchased these after reading the reviews here, because I was tired of having to change my fruit of the looms daily when hiking. The reviews do not do these justice! I have two words - Awe...some! They were as comfortable on the last day as they were on the first. Wet, dry, active, or lying around camp, i am on my way to buying my next pair right now. Now I just hope they wash up well. July 31, 2010
Great for sports. I usually wear boxers, these are in-between. They offer plenty of support; more comfort than briefs. Great for the gym or running. July 30, 2010
Good sports brief I've been wearing Patagonia sport briefs for about 5 years. This is a new version which came out about 2 years ago. I don't like it as much as the previous because the fabric is more fragile. They do work well though, keeping moisture away from your body and not bunching up in your crotch if you do a lot of sports like I do. June 6, 2010
Mens Patagonia Active Sports Boxer Briefs These are great for any outdoor activity. Color and style is great! April 20, 2010
no stink, excelent wicking Used them for a hike in the himalayas (baba pass). I am prone to abrasions and these did not cause any. I washed them every day (just water) and they dried fast. They did not stink. They have excellent wicking properties. I would have preferred if it had an opening like other boxers. Taking a leak was a pain. Overall they are almost perfect for trekking. February 15, 2010
Nice fabrice, terrible fit. I found these didn't offer any support. There is no "pouch". Just some tight material. February 2, 2010
Great underwear. They dry quickly, offer solid support, and stay where you want them to. I've had a few pairs for about 2 years and they are starting to get thin. January 28, 2010
Great multi-day boxer brief! Nice boxer briefs! I'm wearing them right now! December 25, 2009
Great underwear for backpacking These are ideal for any backpacker. They keep you dry while staying in place. It feels like you're wearing nothing. December 22, 2009
Banana hammock! Lots of support in a sport boxer-brief! November 28, 2009
Bit restrictive, good support Tight fit, I'm a 33" waist and M is a bit tight. Recommend going with a L. Firm support. I personally prefer Patagonia Men's Active Boxer Brief, which have a little more "breathing room" and flex. October 19, 2009
Comfortable, but fabric quality not so good I love these boxers, they are comfortable, dry quite fast, but the fabric quality it's not as I expect from Patagonia. I had 6 of them and 4 had small holes after a couple of wears Also they don't make them in white anymore, too bad September 16, 2009
Pretty good These work pretty well. Not as much.. ahh... 'support' as I prefer, but otherwise quite comfortable. These have a long inseam which is great when out and about in hot weather, though the slippery material does sometimes cause my pants not to stay up as well as I'd like, but that's what a belt (or similar) is for, so whatever. July 7, 2009
Good briefs, snug fit. I'm 5'7", 150 lbs and ordered these in a size small. They are kind of snug, understandably so. Works well in the backcountry staying dry and comfortable. I personally prefer the slightly cheaper "Patagonia Men's Active Boxer Brief" in a medium over these however. May 25, 2009
Excellent fit, great product. They never feel wet and always so supportive. Excellent quality. June 12, 2008
Not as good as the ones ordered in 2007. Had previously bought this brand & was completely satisfied. They are made out of lighter material now & I am not happy with the new lightweight material. Have been trying to find original heavier gauge boxer briefs but so far have not had any luck. April 26, 2008
great for athletic events supportive, wicking, comfy, good. January 15, 2008
Really great underwear! These are very soft and comfortable. We will be buying more of these!! January 5, 2008
Best Active Boxer Brief...Period I have used the Patagonia Boxer brief for almost 5 years. The first generation was very good (stilll have them and use them) but the waistband came undone a bit. The second generation fixed that problem, but the shape didn't allow any extra room for you "anatomy" if you know what I mean. You had to pull them up a bit to gather some extra space. Now...all those issues are solved. Great material; breathes spectacularly and never ever feels wet...even when it is. The shape contours to fit the male anatomy perfectly and everything stays in place; cool and dry. It works kid of like a jockstrap, but WAY more comfy. I use them for exercise, hiking, climbing, skiing, running, and anything else. When I "pack light" and only take what I need...these are on the list. And that says a lot. December 17, 2007
durable I'm going about to finish my 5th and last deployment, and not to be lewd or anything but most guys out here go "commando", chafing from normal underwear's seams and the length of time it takes for it to dry out keep most underwear from being practical for running around Baghdad at 120 degrees in the shade with 40+ pounds of body armor. I bought three pairs of these a year and a half ago and have worn nothing but since. They are incredibly durable, wick sweat away, prevent chafing of any kind and you can wash them in a sink without stretching them out. I'm thinking that at about $26 a pop these have turned out to be the least expensive underwear I've ever owned. September 20, 2007
Very comfortable & fast-drying. Fast-drying make them great for traveling August 28, 2007
Fantastic I don't like wearing restrictive underwear, but these are amazing. Lightweight, breathable and surprisingly free of overbearing support. I've used them for running, soccer and everyday activity. Highly recommended. March 9, 2007
very breathable, comfortable These boxer briefs are just right for trail running or hiking, provide good fit and stay dry throughout activities; also good for travel, as they are quick drying and remain comfortable w/ extended wear. February 28, 2007
Best pair out there! Very comfortable! The moisture wicking is great when the activity level picks up. Originally purchased for backcountry skiing but have found them to be great for both warm and cold climates...and are now put to everyday use. BIG PLUS...when you're done with them, you can send them back to patagonia to be recycled! February 10, 2007
Delighted Purchased as a requested gift. The recipient was delighted January 3, 2007
VERY COMFORTABLE FEEL GREAT AND WICK THE MOISTURE VERY EFFECTIVELY. October 22, 2006
