This is a great shirt for warm weather, tropic travel and running by itself, or as a base layer. I'm 5'11, 170, athletic build, and a large fits great around my waist and a bit tight through the shoulders, which is fine if you like that look and feel, or if you are using this as a base layer. I had my first one for several months, several washes and rugged situations and it looks brand new. I started with one, bought two more.

I love this shirt when it's hot for biking specifically. I plan to use it for working out and even chilling catching rays. It is thin enough that you will almost feel that you are wearing nothing. The colors allow for night biking/running/other activity. The only con is that the shirt gets a bit stinky if you wear no or a natural-based deodorant/anti-perspirant. So it has to be washed after each use. A pro is you can almost wear ir out of the dryer because it wicks moister so fast. I would recommend this as a staple in any outdoorsperson's wardrobe.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: can be stinkyCapilene 1

Theres nothing quite like watching a deep desert sunrise, except perhaps running through one. Thanks to the moisture-managing Patagonia Capilene 1 Stretch T-Shirt, you can cut a path through the fresh light without ending up soaked in sweat. Gladiodor treatment helps fight the big stink, while offset seams provide optimal comfort and mobility as you move through the red rocks.
Nice stretch and Quick dry
May 22, 2012
I do not feel stress, because stretch works very much. In addition, this product is quick to dry, I wear this in the daytime and can wear it on the next morning if I wash it at night. I wear it for surf, running, climbing, and there will be a lot of places usable still more.
Love Patagonia, Love Capilene

This is a great shirt. It has great stretch and is not too tight at all. I am right between a medium and a large. At first I bought the large because I figured it was a stretch, and that the large would be perfect. The large was actually too large. I ordered the medium (which is what I like to think I am), and it fits perfectly. Very comfortable, excellent cut and wicks moisture very quickly. What more could you want?

Great running shirt

Bought this for my husband and he likes it well enough that he asked for a second one. The shirt is a bit more fitted than the regular capilene, which is perfect for fast forwarding aerobic sports. In the heat of the summer, the shirt wicks sweat well enough that he never completely sweat it out. The only issue is the shirt could have a bit more mesh under the arm to provide even better breathability. But at <$30, it's a steal from Patagonia. Highly recommended.

Overall, this shirt is one of my favorites because it has an athletic look/fit to it, comfortable, maintains well after multiple washes, material doesn't snag/pile, and allows freedom of movement during any activity.
Bright!

The shirt is great; construction, fit, material all A+...standard Patagonia. The color is bright! Really bright...so be prepared for that, good news is you will be seen.

The Capilene 1 Stretch Tee is another example of a quality product by Patagonia. I use the tee as a base layer and it provides excellent chafe protection, even in the rain. I'm 6'0" 190# and I wear size large that fits tight but too tight. I think Patagonia has been increasing their sizing lately to more of a "vanity" fit. The fabric is very soft so be careful not to wash it with anything that has a velco closure like I did.
Pros: Performance, Great valueBest Underwear for Trecking
March 05, 2012
I use Men's Capilene 1 Stretch T-Shirt for all season light activity. Especially, this is the best for summer trecking at 1500m - 2000m mountain. Keeping dry in walking, and keeping comfortable in sitting down. Its special construction gives it superior ventilation, the fabric won't stick to your skin even when you sweat. This is a strech model, but not so tight actually. I sometime use as my underwear on my office work, it's very comfortable even AC is too cool in summer.
Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueExcellent Base Layer

After wearing this several times I finally made it back to post a review. This is one of the better Capilene's by Patagonia. Good body forming capabilities with flexibility. I use it primarily as a base layer either either on its own or underneath a mid-weight shirt depending on the weather. Provides excellent breathability, moisture control and drys super fast.
