most comfortable pants
December 26, 2010
Recently I purchased these cords and instantly liked them. They are the most comfortable pants that I own. I'm around 5'9", 160 lbs, and bought the 33 waist 30 inseam because I like my pants a little loose and a little long. They fit just right. Although I haven't wash them, it would be ok if they did shrink a bit; but they're fine as is. The hazel color is a deep chestnut color which is also great. I can highly recommend these pants. Altrec shipped quickly, so all in all a positive purchase.

They fit well, are durable and very comfortable. They have a stylish feel and look. They straight legged so the look is more retro. They are tan courdroy that I found initially in Outside Magazine. I initially bought a pair that was too short and so returned them. They pants are good for both work and going out.
Pros: Build qualitySweet cords

These cords are awesome. They feel and look great. I've got a couple of pairs and they are my go to pants during the winter months. I wear them the work, out to dinner and even wear them playing golf. Do not hesitate to buy these cords.
Pros: Great design, Build qualityRugged, refined and very comfortable

Fit is true to size and I did not find them to be baggy at all. Thanks to an early autumn in the PNW this season, I have put these pants to use a number of times already -- and they are quickly becoming my favorite pants ... right behind the Duck Pants.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Cons: priceMy favorite pants

These cords have been much improved in durability when compared to the Patagonia cords of 3 or so years ago. Even though they are more sturdy they are still crazy comfortable. I end up wearing them practically everywhere because they fit almost any situation and still keep me comfy. These cords have become my go to go everywhere choice for pants.

Nice at first, but wore out rapidly
February 01, 2012
My husband really liked these pants when I first bought them for him, but they didn't hold up very well. Within less than a year, the corduroy had worn down in several places and they split open in the front at the top of the thigh. (He had worn the pants only during the winter months and only for casual use.) We were both surprised because we had always considered Patagonia items to be of high quality. Despite our disappointment, though, the pants are on sale now, and I'm considering buying them again. They are nice-looking pants and fit well. My hope is that either we got a defective pair the first time, or that the durability of the item has been improved.
Pros: soft, good-looking, nice fit, Cons: Wears quickly, Poor qualityAlready own the Patagonia Cord Pants? Tell us your thoughts.

They are durable and fit true to size. I would definitely buy again or recommend them to others. Definitely a representation of the quality I expect from Patagonia.

My new favorite pants
December 26, 2011
I bought a pair in the discontinued brown color a few months ago at half-price. They were so comfortable that I bought a second pair from Altrec at full cost. I'm a High School teacher and I need clothing that is presentable enough to meet the school's standards, yet durable enough to survive eight periods of teaching and a commute through NYC. These pants are perfect. The new coriander color is great. Like all Patagonia products these pants are durably constructed using the quality of materials I expect from them. Just as suitable for hiking as they are for work.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts foreverPerfect pair for cold seasons

I hadn't worn cord pants for long time as most on the market usuaslly prove to be too buggy or too tight. It's difficult to find good fitting cord pants. Patagonia's cord pants are perfect pairs in terms of fitting. Nevertheless, the length appear a bit shorter but this length might be more convenient if you wear snow boots or something as longer length might catch snow or something and the pants get wet. Anway, I love this pair. It's so comfy and relaxing while maintaing decent warmth.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueVery comfy

Wale is not quite as fine as I expected it to be and feel a little poorly made, but they are warm and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice pair of corduroys.

Excellent Pants

These are fast becoming my favorite pants. They are super comfortable and just the right fit. Not to loose, not too tight and can be worn in almost any situation. I bought myself a second pair I liked them so much. You wont be disapointed.
My favorite pants

I just wore these on a weekend in San Francisco. They were the only pants I brought. They got wet in the rain and didn't show it, they kept me warm while in the cold wind on the top deck of a cruise boat, they looked good enough for a semi-formal event in a ballroom, and they were comfortable enough for two seven hour flights. I'm wearing them right now. I was afraid they would be too baggy in the seat and thighs after reading some reviews (I often have this problem with pants) but they fit me just right.

Great Pants!!!
December 06, 2010
These are great pants. I bought the same cords last Christmas for my son he has mentioned several times how great they've been so I'm buying another pair this year. He mentioned the great fit and how comfortable they are. It's also great that they offer in Long which is perfect for someone tall. The pants have held up great to multiple washes over the last year and he expects to wear them a couple more years. You definitely won't go wrong with this pair of cords.
Pros: Great design, Great valueGood and durable

I have tons of great Patagonia stuff, but find it hard to get the correct sizing. These pants follow suit by running a little on the smaller side. Overall, durable cords for the money!
Love these on my husband
January 04, 2012
This is the second pair of these cords I've bought my husband from Altrec. My husband loves them, and I think they look great. I'm about to order him another pair because I've noticed he's worn them three days in a row now. I like that he can dress them up a little bit with a nice sweater, or he can throw on a fleece and either way they look great. The gray is a very nice shade too. It's neutral and goes with everything.
Pros: Great design, Lasts foreverperfect cord

My boss loves these- so now he has 2. They have a soft broken in appearnace- even from first wearing. Nice balance between roomy and fitting. I can always tell he is bailing on us and going hiking instead when he walks into the office wearing these cords. The guy has put alot of mileage on his brown pair. And he will put a lot on these too.

Great Cords!

Great pant, relaxed fit, warmer than a jean, comfortable. I found the fit to be right on similar to the relaxed fit Organic Cotton Jean. Overall... I think all Patagonia clothing runs a little on the large side! Well worth it!

I bought these pants for my husband for his birthday and he wore them out to the theatre the same night! The size is accurate and the fit is great. They're just the right weight for winter and cool spring. He finds them very comfortable. Great pants!

Fits well, comfortable, and stylish
October 03, 2011
An awesome pair of corduroy, fits well, comfortable, and stylish. Wear them the first thing in the fall! Fit. I bought a 30 inch inseam version with 31 inch waist and they fit true to size. I normally wear between 29-30 inseam and these have the perfect break in the cuffs. Comfort. The fabric is an organic cotton and have narrow wales, so they are soft and conform to your body. They are more comfortable than wearing khakis. Style. These are "Regular" meaning you can wear these out without looking like you tried too hard. These sit below waist like the Levis 501. Bottomline: Get a pair!

The Cord Standard
October 27, 2011
This is my second pair of Patagonia cords, the first being about 4 years ago and a bit different than these. Both generations have been the most durable and comfortable pairs I've owned. The cord material from other brands I've tried always wears down after a season and doesn't last much beyond a year. Patagonia's cotton is extremely soft and durable, organic too of course. I ordered a 34" inseam, and at 6'2", they fit perfect in length after shrinking a full inch with washing and drying the first time. The only reason I give them 4 stars instead of 5 is they have a pretty up plain, old man cut to them. There's bit of of extra fabric through the seat And thigh that makes them kinda look like my dad's jeans. But still the best cords I've found out there.
