Ultralight insulation for frigid mountain pursuits.
Dawn in the desert and dusk in the mountains share at least one thing: cold. Our newest down offering is pared-down, super light and made of top-quality down for chilly belays and frigid bivies. The quilted-through construction holds the down in place, and the highly tear-resistant shell fabric resists wind and repels water. A deep main zipper ventilates and allows easy on/off with a helmet; the pass-through handwarmer pockets have a zippered kangaroo pouch that doubles as a stuff sack (with a clip-in loop).
Love this jacket!
Very light, very warm, and looks great. I have had it for a couple of weeks and it has kept me warm every morning when I walk my dog in tempertures that have been as cold as 10 degrees. Also love the fact that it is a pullover. I am 5'7 135 lbs and a small fits perfectly and it leaves me plenty of room for layering.
Fantastic
The pullover hoody is so light, I thought it was missing something. Its is extremely comfortable and reliably warm. I specifically bought it for climbing; very packable, light and efficient all around. The pull-over was new for me, but I've adjusted just fine. Another great feature is the hood. It's fully insulated and fits comfortably and does not block vision. I got the Spark which is ridiculously bright, but it is growing on me.
lighter is better
One of the lightest parkas on the market. I bought a small because the cut is generous; I usually wear medium. the "marsupial handwarmer" pocket is very useful when belaying. Getting the jacket on and off takes some practice while climbing because of the half zip, but the weight is a huge plus. You get what you pay for from Patagonia as we all know. Get the spark color if you want a quick rescue. Oh yeah and its warm as hell.
