Always perfect!
February 28, 2012
The shorts fit perfectly for my husband's 6' 158 pound size. He ordered a large. He likes to have the ability to pull the waist in and out when needed. It might be a bit too small for many large waisted men. The quality is true Patagonia, beautiful, durable fabric and very well made. His last suit carried him through ten years! The pocket with a zipper is a real plus for our types of traveling. The gusseted crotch is another Patagonia attention to detail for comfort. He couldn't have asked for a better short/swim short.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueAlready own the Patagonia Gi III Water Shorts - 7 In. Inseam? Tell us your thoughts.
Run Small!
March 11, 2012
Nice shorts but they run small! My husband is a 34 waist and usually wears a medium in his other Patagonia shorts. When he tried these on he said he thought a large might be too small too. That said, I will be returning these and will not be ordering a new pair. I don't want to risk the next size up being too small. They are however, very night shorts and always good quality from Patagonia!
Pros: Great design, Cons: run smallGood shorts

These are good, but not great imo. I prefer the baggies all day. The look is cool, the fit is nice, but the pockets are a little forward, and not as deep as I would prefer. A zipper on the back pocket is a nice feature, and you can really tighten them up with the waist belt. A fly opening would be a nice add as well. I dig them, but for the price, I will just get another color of baggies.
