Fit Tip: The Huckleberry fits true to size and is low in volume.
Make no mistake about it--we love the Patagonia Huckleberry. It's not just because of the eco-friendly design or the exceptionally comfortable Poli-Cork footbed. The Huckleberry gives outdoor enthusiasts pure bouldering functionality with specific edging and smearing zones along the Vibram sole. While a lot of manufacturers offer approach shoes or climbing shoes, it's tough to find bouldering-specific footwear that you can wear from the parking lot to the top of the scramble and back. Patagonia's Huckleberry gets all the features right with a rugged Perwanger leather upper, reinforced climbing toe and external counters for edge hold. Like other Patagonia footwear, the Huckleberry also has plenty of earth-friendly components like midsoles made with 15% recycled EVA material and recycled Poliyou foam in the footbeds. The Vibram bouldering sole even has a special Ecostep compound made with up to 30% recycled rubber.
Great shoe. Not for wider feet.
I ordered the juniper and they look great. High quality materials. Unfourtanetly my feet are wide(10.5EE) and these simply are too narrow. If a medium or narrow fit works for you I would highly recommend.
Great shoes
These are great approach shoes that have excellent traction on rocks. They are just as comfortable for light hiking and just wearing around town. shoes fit pretty true to size I am usually a 10.5-11 and the 10.5 fit well so if you are in between sizes I recommend sizing down.
Great versatile shoe!
This shoe has it all. Great looks, comfortable fit, solid construction. Laces stay put and the heel pull strap is high quality that feels like it will last and last. The grip and construction are great for a walk down the street or a scramble in the rocks. Wider feet are a close fit. Hope Patagonia keeps these around as I will buy a second pair.

Awesome gear!
I am a biology teacher and on my feet most of the time. I've always been a fan of patagonia and they did not let me down with these shoes. Besides the fact that they look great, they look great too! Thanks Patagonia!!
Great shoe, period
I think everyone else here said it; simply a well functioning and thought out shoe. Best shock resistance and comfort I've ever seen in a shoe. I've had the shoes for about 4 months and they show little if any wear, despite a 25 mile day hike I did last spring, my feet where fine after that, so these ARE real hiking boots as well.
GREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!
These Shoes Rock! Comfort of a tennis shoe with the support of a boot. I wore them all over the city the day I got the shoes and they didn't even need to be broken in. Very comfortable walking all day. Great for my work, very quiet sole, (I work in field sound recording) and comfortable even well beyond a 12 hour day of work. And the funky forest green to boot!
Best Shoe Ever
I'm purchasing a second pair before they stop making them (just in case). I have foot problems (fallen metasarsal arch, neuroma) and these shoes are the best I have ever worn. They have stiff soles, shock absorption and they are light. I've even gone running in them. Only down side is they are a bit hot to wear.
Highly recommended!
These are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Lightweight, yet rugged. They still look like the day I got them. I've received many compliments about them too.
perfect
as soon as i put them on, i was pretty sure they were the best shoes i have ever owned. so far i still think the same and i have owned(and raved) about many pairs of merell and asolo. supportive, comfortable, stiff soles, lightweight and very attractive. my dad already ordered a pair too. they do seem to hold lots of dirt in the tread but who cares.
I’ve been really happy with my Huckleberries
I had been wearing La Sportivas as “approach” shoes for years, but they tended to break down pretty quickly. The Huckleberries don't have quite as sticky rubber, but have held up really well and the footbed is stiffer, which is welcome for Sierra hiking. I’ve been wearing them about 5 months and they look almost new. On a recent trip to Chile I had a heavier pair of hiking boots, but ditched them when I found the Huckleberries were lighter, better in the mud, and more comfy. Great to see Patagonia making a shoe that works for backcountry or catching a movie.
Very cool shoes, I've received a ton of compliments
I was excited to see Patagonia finally come out with shoes. The colors are right, styling is right on and they look great dressed up or down. While shopping or out and about, I always get compliments. Highly recommend
Well made,Lite and a firm arch.
I bought these for the looks and the mention of a firm arch. I'm on a ladder most of my day and my feet need to be comfortable. These give me the support I wish when going up and down all day.
I'm pleased with the choice.
Good so far
I've only had these a couple weeks and have noticed a significant improvement in my knees(formerly I was walking to classes in flip flops so thats not saying much). The tongues on my two shoes had slightly different lengths so they looked different when laced up but I'm not too worried as long as they fit great. Also provide great traction, but I must agree with previous reviewers on the amount of dirt they pick up. If I don't pay attention I have dirt all over my kitchen when I get home.
Very comfortable
These shoes are very comfortable as expected from Patagonia. Very durable too. The only complaint is that they are a little tight on my instep and slip in the rear unless tightly laced. Great for walking and hiking.
Poor fit for low volume feet...
...length was adequate for any given size. I have relatively low volume, narrow feet and I experience heel slippage no matter how tight the laces were tied. Otherwise, great looks and construction.
not what i expected
I wore these shoes for about 3 months, the tread is gone and there is a hole in the sole. I expected more patagonia.
