Just received the jacket today, the forge grey looks great! Definitely order a size smaller, I had ordered an XL, as my north face jackets are xL; it was way too big. Set the return, everything want smoothly. Would always recommend Altrec to anyone.

My first new ski jacket in 20 years and thats because the last jacket I skied in was a Patagonia Guide jacket and their products hardly wear out. I love this jacket ! Skied in temps ranging from 0 degrees to 35 degrees and was always warm and comfortable. It's quite easy to dress for the day on the mountain with this jacket. My first layer is a Patagonia light weight capilene top, then I'll wear a light wt fleece top if its 0-25 degrees. If the temps 25 degrees or higher I'll wear a zip neck over the base layer. Then I'm set for the variable of temps here in the Cascades. I like the Ipod pocket and headphone cord routing thru the back of the pocket . The tall collar is great on those windy days, the hood fits well and is easy to adjust. Gave it a waterproof rating as I skied in the rain one day and never got wet but it wasn't a savage rain storm. The pit zips are nice when you have to do some hoofing to get to the untracked powder. The jacket is typical of all Patagonia products in that they are well thought out in the designing process. I am very happy with this product, it's an Awesome Jacket !!!

Great Jacket
November 18, 2012

I purchased the jacket for snowboarding. The design is exceptional. Great removable hood. The only issue was that the jacket fits very large. I usually fit in a Large Patagonia jacket. However, I ordered a Medium and it was a better fit for me. Would recommend the jacket.

Great quality. Cant wait to use it on the slops. Very warm and windproof. I am 178lb Ordered size medium. Great fit and enough room for extra sweeter on colder days. I was not sure about the orange color, however this was the best choice. Looks b . I would definately recommend that jacket.

Love all but one thing...

...too big. I love all features of this jacket, but the large is too big for me. I'm 6'2" and 185#. I'm very excited to exchange for medium and later come back to write more.

5' 11', 180 lb.- Medium fit great. Especially like the mp3/phone/wallet pocket location, you don't have to unzip the jacket to access; it is tucked under the zipper flap. Bought the green and get many compliments.

Pros: Great design, Great value
