More comfortable than pajamas
June 02, 2011
I don't climb, but I have three boys who want to wrestle with me and then go get BBQ. These pants are perfect for both - the most comfortable pair of pants I've ever owned. Loose, light, no need for a belt - and they look good on the trail or at the farmer's market.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, comfortSweet Light Pants!

These pants fit well, loose, but not too much. The material is light, yet, seems durable. I am 6ft. 1 in., 170 lbs. and bought a 34 waist and they fit nicely. I do air dry all my Patagonia pants (except my cord pants) and these seem to stay true to size. Would maybe have liked some belt loops, though. Otherwise another great pair of Patagonia pants!
Pros: Great design, Lasts forever, Ease of useGreat pant, way too baggy

I've been climbing a while and I know the importance of movability in a pant while climbing, but these were just far too baggy. After climbing in them twice, I had to get my friend to bring in the legs nearly 2 inches. The gusset crotch is wonderful and the alteration didn't mess that up. They almost have a bell-bottom cut that you really can't tell from the picture. Just for reference, I'm 5'-10" and weight 175, and they were still far to baggy for me. Great pant, but don't let the picture fool you, they're baggy.
