I love anything from Patagonia. This is a great coat you can work outside in or wear casually for a cold day or night. XL fits larger than most XL's. If you are in between a L and XL I recomment you buy a L.

Great jacket

Fit is great, very warm and comfortable, absolutely no complaints. Also looks very stylish and handsome.
quality jacket!!!

This jacket is similar to a carhart jacket but a tad more stylish. The outside is pretty durable. I take it on my climbing excursions and to work and have yet to do any noticeable damage to it. The inside is soft and warm. The jacket is fairly wind resistant due to the thick canvas but i would not advise taking it out in any significantly wet weather. The fit is a bit large. I'm 5'11'', 165lbs. and normally wear a large in coats but the medium in this jacket fits perfectly. Overall, this is a great jacket for a fair price and i expect to get many years of use out of it.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forevertough and warm

Fit true to size on me . The moment I put it on the lined canvas hoody,it felt like an old friend.Warm, comfortable and really kept the wind at bay.I wear it almost daily .Nothing fancy or flashy just a tough, functional garment. As mentioned the zipper is small so with cold fingers it was a little tough at first. The other "con" is the logo patch on the breast...it's a personal thing ,but I do not like wearing advertisments. In this case, the logo is small enough and the garment is so good it's ok . Highly recommended !

I got this last year and wore it all winter long. It fits true to size. Quality construction and materials. I'm actually looking forward to the cold weather so I can put it on again

Great Work/All-Around Jacket
October 03, 2011
5'11" 190# LG fits great, enough room to layer a sweetshirt under. Sleeves are typical for Patagonia a touch long but that is good when you are stretching your arms out or lifting over your head, they never ride up your arm. Can't go wrong with this jacket for work or play.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great valueDid you recently buy the Patagonia Lined Canvas Hoody? Write a review.
Patagonia Canvas Hoodie
January 22, 2013
I have used the jacket for a short time but found it particularly appropriate for the winter weather along the coast of Monterey Bay. It looks like the heavy duty hoodie it mirrors and is an excellent alternative for the cotton hoodies seen everywhere. It is more durable and significantly warmer. The price is only sightly higher than one of the designer versions with fancy silkscreening. I have not had it long enough to report on durability. It looks well constructed and of strong materials. Time will tell and this is a good start. It is warm and comfortable and I expect to be using it for years. It feels noticeably heavier than a cotton sweatshirt or hoodie, say 30 percent more subjectively. I have not used it in the rain but I suspect that it will not soak up water as fast as cotton (if at all). It has a canvas shell so I suspect will not be waterproof. The fleece lining feels synthetic. My "hickory" version is more like dark OD. It is solid rather than fancy and I like the inside zippered pocket. Buy one and you will be pleased on cool days.
Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Ease of use, Great value, heavy duty version of standard cotton hoodieAlready own the Patagonia Lined Canvas Hoody? Tell us your thoughts.
Great jacket and a great price

Very sturdy and warm, bomber construction, although they should have gone with a beefier zipper.
If you are even considering......Buy this Jacket!!

This jacket/coat came at a great time as temps are starting to drop into the 20s-30s at night. I'm 6'1" and 200lbs. and I purchased a size Large in Hickory. For me, the jacket is a great fit - I know some have complained that the sleeves are too long but this is not the case for me. As far as the zipper goes, I like the zipper length because I will mainly be wearing this with the hood down. If you do plan on wearing the hood often, your neck will be exposed to the elements but there is room for a scarf, neck gaiter, or your favorite turtle neck. Definitely not disappointed with this purchase. If they ever come out with additional colors, I would probably buy another one. This jacket is extremely durable and I don't see this ever getting any holes/cuts in it unless I'm wrestling a gator or I get in a knife fight with a pile of wood.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, PerformanceGreat Jacket

Perfect jacket for around town this winter. It's warm and wind proof. Also looks fine for dress casual at work. The large is pretty large and the medium is your basic medium. Big difference between the two sizes.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of useGreat Jacket!

This jacket is even more than I expected it to be. I was looking for a nice version of a carhartt and this is it. Durable and gets a lot of compliments.

Love this jacket for working, hunting or fishing. The hood and fleece are warmer than the typical Carhart look, but with Patagonia quality and warmth. Love the simplicity of it!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of useGreat Quality at a Great Price

This is a very sturdy yet comfortable jacket which keeps me warm as the temperatures drop into the 20s. The interior cotton is so soft that a simple t-shirt underneath is perfect. The jacket is a rugged look that is very stylish and can be worn to bars. It is a great way to stand out from the traditional ski and down coats. I am 6'3 215 and the xl fits perfect, very true to size.
Pros: Build quality, Performance, Great valuePricey but a great value

This is a great jacket. Walking back from a friends house at 3am in the morning the fleece lining and generous hood kept me warm and happy. The sleeves and back length long which is good. The cut is generous and allows for free movement. The jacket is well finished and if you get one you'll be pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail. The price is high but in this case you get more than you paid.
Warm, Burly

That is exactly what i wanted and, exactly what i got! This thing is great. The only bad reviews that i found online were about the length of the arms being a little long (which is true) But, for me that was perfect as mediums fit me but, the arm length is always to short. So if you need a jacket that is true to size with SLIGHTLY longer than normal sleeves, this is it!

This jacket is very well made, it has the look of the traditional work jacket with some nice added features that make it usable in a variety of applications. Interior fleece lining is both warm and comfortable.
I bought two!

I wore this all winter in Boston, and bought a second one in case it ever wears out because I don't want to be without one.. Doesn't look like it is going to. After a tough winter looks brand-new still!

Like all Patagonia product this is a great jacket with great style, warmth and weather resistance....Only thing to keep in mind is that it runs quite small
Pros: Great designNice coat

Sleeves are a bit long for me (size medium, and I am 5'10'') but a very nice looking jacket that has kept me warm. Comfortable fit, and the front slash pockets are very handy. Did not expect the speckles of color in the gray liner but it still looks sharp. There appear to be very similar jackets out there for far less but I am content I got this one and struck a blow for organic cotton (a normally chemical heavy crop).
Great Product

I use it cutting wood, snowmobiling, but can also wear it out to the bars. The XL fits me great at 6'4" 220. True fit. Warm. Well built. Looks good. Solid Performance. True Patagonia.
