Feels comfortable to wear.
October 27, 2010
The thing I am most impressed with is how light it is. Feels comfortable to wear. Works well with a few layers underneath. Moreover, because the correspondence of the shop is terrible and good, it recommends it.

I bought this jacket for my son. He loved it right away. He is doing an outward bound course so will be hiking for many weeks in all kinds of weather. It is incredibly light and very packable. Can't wait to see how it fairs on the mountain trek. Will let you know.
Pros: lightweight, durable.Already own the Patagonia M10 Jacket? Tell us your thoughts.
Lightweight, Packable, Breathable

After leaving my beloved Arc'terx Beta AR in a restaurant never to be seen again, I was in need of weather protection quickly prior to my trip to the Boundary Waters. I decided to replace it with a lightweight shell since my desire to do extended mountain trips is waning. The M10 packs to nothing, breathes in warm weather and although I didn't experience any heavy rain, I have no doubt the H2NO coating will be very water proof. Slim fit as advertised, just enough room for R1 and Nano Puff pullovers without feeling cramped. Would recommend for the weight conscious
Dry as a bone on a rainy Mt Shasta
October 10, 2010
Several months after buying this jacket I finally got to use it during a very rainy trip to Mt Shasta in September 2010. When I first saw the M10 on Altrec's website I was amazed by its weight and had a quick case of sticker shock from the price. I feel I can say that it is definitely worth the price. It compresses to nothing, and on a very rainy and windy weekend on Mount Shasta it kept me dry, both from the rain and from perspiration. It is an excellent wind barrier. The M10 compresses very well and is incredibly light. This is a great jacket and will travel with me on every backcountry trip I take from now on. Although it is listed as "slim fit" I really think it is more of a regular fit. I had a merino wool base layer with an R1 hoody over it, a Nano Puff pullover on top of that and a Guide Hoody over that and the M10 fit easily over all those layers. You might want to keep that in mind when your order one. This is a terrific jacket and I highly recommend it.
