Description

It's standing room only on the bus to Chiquian, with miles of blind, nerve-wracking hairpin turns. Keep your cool in the lightweight, breathable Men's Merino 2 Lightweight T-Shirt from Patagonia made from Merino 2, our most versatile Merino baselayer. It keeps you dry and comfortable during active pursuits in cool to cold conditions, breathes naturally, stretches, regulates body temperature, and has a great warmth-to-weight ratio. It's wonderfully soft and naturally resists odor. Patagonia's wool comes from non-mulesed Australian Merino sheep. It's slow-washed for softness and shrink-resistance without the use of environmentally harmful chlorine, and blend it with 20% polyester (100% recycled) for increased durability, resilience and moisture-management. The raglan-sleeve design and offset side seams lie smoothly beneath pack straps. Machine-wash cold; machine dry at low temperatures. bluesign®-approved fabric.

Another great base layer from Patagonia
November 04, 2013

The Merino base layer is comfortable and does the job. It's perfect for our hikes on cool fall days, not heavy or bulky. The medium is a good fit for me at 5'10", 180 lbs.

I am very impressed with these. They fit well, are warm, and seem to have sturdy construction. I'm 6'2" and 170lbs and went for the large. The fit and stretch are right on for me. The only thing that could be a little better is the next to skin feel. It feels a little scratchy, but it is mostly wool after all, so that is to be expected.

Great Shirt with Athletic Fit
October 29, 2012

This shirts are great for wool shirts. No itch, nice athletic fit, and are very well constructed. The shirt fits nicely as I am 5" 11" and 180 lbs. Mid section is perfect size and sleeves aren't glove fit. I have three of these shirts and would get more if the colors were better. Not a big fan of the two-tone design. I would recommend this shirt as well because it keeps you warm or cool and vents very well.

Excellent Base Layer
May 05, 2012

These were my first non polyester base layer and I will definitely be buying more merino wool in the future. Being a natural fiber the wool feels much softer and more comfortable against my skin, not itchy at all. I have some capilene 3 base layer bottoms and these are warm but don't cause me to over heat and seem better constructed. The fit is slim but not skin tight which is what I prefer. Overall I would recommend trying out some of Patagonia's wool base layers if you haven't already.

toasty base

I am very impressed with these bottoms. They are now the best that I own. I am not in a very cold part of the country, but I work in cold, windy conditions on winter mornings at the beach and these do the trick. I'm 6'2" and 170lbs and went for the mediums. The fit and stretch are right on for me. The only thing that could be a little better is the next to skin feel. It feels a little scratchy, but it is mostly wool after all, so that is to be expected.

Slim fit
March 23, 2012

Bought it for the hubby for training runs, and he loves it. It is a slim fitting shirt, so beware. Fabric is not as soft as the 100% wool shirts such as Icebreaker and Ibex, due to the added synthetics. But hopefully it'll improve the durability. Hubby says he'll still wear it in the heat for running, although it doesn't feel as lightweight as some of the almost weightless synthetic shirts. Recommended.

very warm short sleeves T-shirt
February 18, 2012

Wow, this T-shirt is warm !!! I can wear it with a shell and don't feel cold at all when it's 40+ outside that I usually need a T-shirt+fleece sweater+shell. It is even a bit hot for me to wear it alone in office w/ building's heater on. The only down side, as common to all Patagonia, is the price. It is quite expensive if not on sale.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: Cost
