Extremely Comfortable
October 09, 2010

This fleece is great for a cool non-windy day or as a 2nd layer. I'm a big guy and have issues finding quality outdoor clothes and this fleece fits great. I know it's made in the US, but it could be a littler cheaper for a fleece.

A Great Fleece
January 08, 2012

This fleece fits me great. I am 6ft 185 lbs thin but athletic body. and the size large fits me perfect. This is one of the only lightweight fleece shirts I have found where the sleeves do not pull past your wrist when you extend your arm. The shirt sits just below my waist and does not pull past my waist when bent over. I have used this shirt at work and while biking in 20 degree f Michigan mornings. I usually layer a long sleeve thin base layer under it. On weekends at home or going out a t shirt fits great underneath. I want one in every color now.

Pros: Great design, Build quality

great layer for winter living in my chilly home
May 28, 2011

I wore this daily over a cotton shirt and was very comfortable in a chilly historic home this winter. It also worked well as a base layer when working outside in the Fall and as an underlayer when outside in the frigid weather. Very good fit and lightweight.

Patagonia still good, but not great...
August 09, 2011

Good pullover - no complaints, but Patagonia quallity and durability has really fallen off in the last 5 years. I still buy Patagonia products because of their commitement to low-footprint, recycling, etc. but I may need to find another eco-friendly outfitter if the quality continues to decline and the price increases.

Pros: Great design, Performance, Cons: Cost

Great fleece

Works great as an out layer or base layer. Does a good job of blocking the wind and wicks away moisture. Very pack able and can fit virtually anywhere, highly recommended

Great lightweight fleece
December 27, 2011

This is a great lightweight fleece for all around wear. Looks great with jean, khakis or even under a ski jacket. Easy wear and easy wash. I have many of these Patagonia fleeces and I just can't get enough them. When I couldn't find it anywhere else, Altrec came through. Easy, fast ordering experience.

A great, simple mid-layer fleece
March 23, 2011

This pull-over shirt is a great and simple mid-layer fleece for cold winter/spring days. I bought this because I was looking to replace a similar fleece shirt I bought nearly ten years ago and didn't want a technical fleece with an odd color. This shirt lacks zip-up pockets that you would find in most fleece shirt now days from outdoor clothing brands. But this is not a bad thing since most people would wear this as a mid-layer and not as a outer shell. If you wanted an outer shell you should look some place else. The good. The fleece is thick and feels luxurious (read "soft") compared to some other brands (*cough*The Northface*cough*). The mock-neck and other edge is reinforced with thicker (doubled-up) for hard wear. The bad (may be). This shirt, while warm, will not block wind. But really, this shirt is not designed to be a softshell so you shouldn't expect to block out wind. The price, compared to compatible products from other brands, is in the higher end, though not by much. I don't mind spending a little more for products that use recycled material and made in fair trade country. I believe Patagonia score high on these accounts.

Pros: Build quality, Performance, light, Cons: Cost, lacks a chest pocket
Comfort: 4 / 5

Nice fleece
October 26, 2012

This is a lightweight fleece that is very comfortable. I am 5'11" and 180 lbs and the large fits very well. This is a to go pullover when the nights turn cool, but not for cold weather. Quality and build is very good but one con i will mention is on my first wearing after washing I got slight pilling across my chest from my seatbelt. Not sure if this will continue but I am very happy with this fleece.

Great fleece
January 12, 2013

I needed a new midlayer piece, and had never bought a Patagonia 1/4 zip fleece, but had bought other Patagonia items, mostly outlayer stuff. This is a great product. Very light weight, but keep you very warm. The fit is considered "regular" so its pretty true to size. I have had other patagonia items that have tended to be smaller, this one was more comparable to other brands. I am very happy with it and will buy other varieties of it soon. I highly recommend.

Pros: Build quality, Performance, Great value

Looks good from a distance, but poorly made
March 06, 2013

I really was drawn to this product based on its appearance online. I thought the price was right and that it would serve as a good base layer. I was pleased when I first received the garment and started to wear it immediately. I have broad shoulders and a muscular build-I am about 215 lbs and and am 6 ft. tall. The fit was just fine. The zipper glided well too. However it started to "shed" just as quickly. The fabric began to release small pills of fleece on just about anything. It let a ton of fuzz on my seat belt and rubbed off very easily. The elbows were rubbed down near baldness after only a few wears. Overall I was very disappointed by an item from a company that I have grown to appreciate for its quality.

Pros: Ease of use, fits well, Cons: Wears quickly, Low performance, Poor quality

Comfy Lightweight Fleece Pullover
August 12, 2011

This is a super comfortable lightweight pullover. The Micro D-Luxe fleece is very lightweight and feels great. As is mentioned in another review, the fabric is not good at blocking wind -- but that's not it's purpose. It is a great insulating BREATHABLE layer. I find it a great piece for trail use, and it's equally well suited for heading to town and around the house. I have been wearing similar garments made by Patagonia over the years. With this current model the sleeves have become much longer than in the past -- though the rest of the jacket fit has remained the same. It's an ill conceived design decision, but it doesn't keep me from using and enjoying the jacket. I hope Patagonia will return to their previous sleeve length in the future.

Pros: Build quality, comfort, Cons: sleeves too long

Great Buy!
November 23, 2010

Great product from patagonia. Third patagonia product I have bought in the last year and the continue to wow me. Very durable pullover. Great for fall or to wear under a heavier jacket in the extremely cold months. Fits great... not to big, but not tight either. Would recommend this pullover to anyone that wants something light-weight and comfortable.

Great Item
January 16, 2013

Tis lightweight micro fleece is extremely comfortable and the sizing was perfect for wearing over a wicking shirt. I am 6' and weigh 220 lbs and the XL fits great. I have worn this in temps ranging from 32 deg. F to 60 deg. F and was comfortable at all times. Works great and looks good when worn as a casual shirt during evenings out to dinner. I look forward to this spring and using this as a camp shirt on cool evenings.

Pros: Performance, Great value

WARM for the weight
March 20, 2011

This is a very lightweight layer, and it amazes me how warm it keeps me! It's also great at regulating temperature -- a lot of my friends have to add or remove a layer as the day's temperature fluctuates, but I find myself comfortable in this fleece throughout a variety of conditions

I own every color they offer of this fleece, and wear one almost everyday. The fabric is warm, soft and holds up to taking on and off, as well as washing. These fleeces are very stylish with jeans for around town, but are great for just about any winter activity to include skiing, backcountry, winter camping, etc. You can catch me in one of these from August to April.

March 05, 2013

These fleeces are great. perfect layer to go over a t-shirt and under a rain shell. Super soft and typical Patagonia quality. The fit is perfect (small - 5'9", 140). The high collar is comfortable and effective in the chilly weather. There are no pockets. Just bought another one and will surely pick up a few more if they keep making them.

Warm, comfortable, versatile
April 21, 2011

This top is made from a mid-weight fleece and is great for layering. It is versatile and appropriate for nearly any occasion. However, it is not windproof so you need a shell to keep you sheltered when the breeze cuts through. Overall it is a great looking top that will serve you well.

patty micro d-luxe top
March 21, 2011

I am very happy with the Patagonia Micro D-Luxe 1/4 zip top. Purchased this in XXL, I am a bigger guy 6'1, 270 lbs and it fits me well...slim but not too tight. The piece is well made but could use a better quality zipper, something more beefy/wider...mind you this is my only complaint. I have been wearing this non-stop since it arrived as a mid layer with and without jacket as our weather is starting to break where I live. It is a perfect "to go" item when you are on the move just throw it in your bag/pack/brief. One of my favorites features of this pullover is the tapered sleeves. That is a nice design that compliments my preferred use as mid layer for casual (over a t-shirt) and hunting/fishing. I also purchased the top in grey, they should offer some more colors as I would gladly take 2 or 3 more of these tops especially in a dark blue and deep red like some of Patagonia's other standard colors. Great addition to my closet.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
