Cool looking but not the best fit...
When I pulled this jacket out of its packing I was excited...it looks much better than the nano puff with none of the garbage bag crinkly look, but then I was somewhat disappointed. I am about 6'1" 175-180 lbs and haven't hit the bench press in a good while, however, the chest on my size medium was somewhat tight while the waist was loose (and my waist isn't as small as it once was). Some reviews say this is good for layering, but for casual wear it makes for an odd fit. On the bright side, the sleeves are a great generous length. This might be great for some people but I'll be returning it. For a more athletic fit and similar jacket I would recommend the Mountain Hardwear Compressor or the GoLite Cady.

Great jacket, It's windproof, real warm by itself with a light baselayer under(like Rab PS ZIP). But It's not very packable。
This jacket runs large, especially compared to other brands. I usually wear L (5'8", 187 lbs), But this time,i was swimming in the large and it was hard to cram into a shell.

GOOD OVERALL JACKET
Great jacket w/o all the bulk of a down coat. Unbelievably warm for as light and thin as it is. The fit of the jacket is relaxed with plenty of mobility throughout the arms and torso and is very comfortable to wear in the car. The cut of the coat seems to be designed for layering which seems to offer the best performance for mid-winter days. No problems w durability as of yet and I believe w proper care, I can get quite a few seasons out of this jacket. Overall, I am very pleased.

Great jacket
The Nano is incrdibly lightweight, you hardly notice you have it on. It is a great shell that stops the wind in its tracks. It Looks great and even though it is a pullover slides on and off easily. I have been wearing it as another winter jacket.

Great jacket
I bought this jacket for a February trip to Paris. The weather was as expected, damp and cold, but not below freezing. The micro puff was the perfect weight for this weather. I was warm enough without the bulk of a heavier jacket. I did add a Marmot Precip shell on top when it was raining/drizzling/???, since I needed a hood and a little extra wind resistance.
The fit: I'm short and chunky (5'6", 190), and the large was perfect. Roomy enough for a sweater underneath, but also comfortable with just a shirt.

Great jacket!
This Patagonia jacket works well by itself or as a layer on especially cold days. It fits my larger frame quite nicely, and I prefer the lower profile that the micro puff's insulation provides. The only potential issue is that I am already seeing some wear on the sleeve's shell after minimal wear.

Light, warm, comfortable
This jacket is great value. I wanted a lightweight jacket without compromising warmth. This jacket is both light and warm. It is very mobile as well, as it folds down to be very small. I am also very happy with the comfort. Great value and versatility for the price.

Warm and Light
Another fine quality product from Patagonia. The jacket is very comfortable and warm. It does a decent job of repelling water in light misty condition. But best of all, it is lightweight for the amount of warmth it provides.
I will keep purchasing Patagonia products. Good product, great company.

Great Coat
I love this coat. It is super light - I often forget that I have it on. It is super warm. Went for a very easy walk in low 20's windy weather with just a short sleeve shirt on and was plenty warm. The fit is great, good length in arms and torso. It is longer than my Patagonia capilene shirts (so they don't stick out), but not longer than my shell. I am a bit concerned about the fabric ripping since it feels so thin, but so far I have had no problems.

very nice and super warm. Just got it so dont know how long it lasts/durability. But since getting it I've enjoyed wearing it and being toasty.

Unbelievably lightweight
This is the first Patagonia puffy coat purchased, and my son whose 22 loves it. It fits him perfectly. He says it doesn't even feel like he is wearing a coat because it is so lightweight. It is very comfortable to wear in the car, indoor shopping, as well as outdoors. It folds into a ball for packing and will not weigh down your luggage. I want to buy my husband one, I like it so much.

Great Quality Jacket! Warm and sleek look
First of all the jacket was shipped very quickly by Altrec and received with no flaws. The jacket is a typical patagonia product, very well crafted jacket and superior quality. The jacket is warm, not bulky, and fits true to size in my opinion. I went with a size smaller(medium) than I normally wear(large) due to the all of the reviews I read. The medium was just two snug for my liking so I returned it for a large.

Warm Jacket
I purchased this jacket to wear on the river while fly fishing. This jacket is super warm on those frigid days on the water. When it warms up I can pack it down and it easily fits into the back pocket of my fly vest. I am 6'4 and 200lbs, a medium fit me great. I would highly recommend this jacket to anyone who doesn't want to stay off the water just because it's cold outside.

Great Jacket
Love this jacket. Warm without being too bulky and packs up nice and small into the stuff sack for traveling. Same great quality as you would expect from Patagonia. Fits true to size. I would definitely recommend this jacket.

Patagonia Micro Puff Jacket
As I've trended towards Veganism, I purchased the Patagonia Micro Puff Jacket as a replacement for my down 700 fill Mountain Hardware jacket. I have to say that I was expecting a jacket with similar dimensions. The Micro Puff jacket is not a down jacket replacement.
I wore it for the first time today in CT weather that was around 35 degrees. As it is much thinner than a comparable down jacket, I wore it underneath my canvas Carhart jacket. Together, I was very comfortable.
This jacket is an excellent layer for a shell or rain coat but I'm not sure it would be adequate as a stand alone winter jacket.
So keep this in mind when you purchase. Definitely not going to be your go-to Winter jacket but could work perfectly well for cooler-to-cold Fall weather.
Otherwise, the jacket is extremely light and fits like an afterthought. I would recommend the jacket as a layer though. Not as your sole Winter coat.
Hope this helps!

great jacket
I got this jacket for back country skiing, to put on while switching over from skinning up. Because its not a tight fit and water resistant, i can put it over my shell in a hurry to stay warm, then cram it back in my pack easily.
Also good after kayaking when i am wet and need to get warm quick. The synthetic insulation seems durable in both those cases.
looks good enough to wear around town

Puffy but not bulky or too puffy
Nice warm jacket. Easy care and more functional than the typical puffed out down jacket. Very light. Should be good to wear for years.

Great warm jacket.
I can't believe it is so light for a winter jacket, same with other Patagonia jackets, this jacket is high quality and looks stylish, I am so happy to get it.

Great 'grab-to-go-anywhere' jacket
As expected from Patagonia - a solid, well engineered jacket. I got it to use for everything from cold weather outer layer to variable spring conditions in Utah. It has not disappointed. Light weight and easy to keep handy. Highly recommended.

Super Warm for the weight!
This is a great Jacket. Warm and packs down very small.

Lightweight Yet Extremely Warm
This jacket is just what my son wanted - very lightweight, not bulky, but warm. Great fit - very pleased with purchase.

Nice jacket but bad customer service
Terrific jacket. But Altrec did not ship 2 day air as advertised. As a result my dad got his Xmas gift on new years eve. Altrec did not bother to respond to my phone and email inquiries. Lousy customer service.

Nice versatile jacket for the New England weather
Bought this for my brother-in-law who needed something other than his go-to hard shell for the cold weather. He loves it. Lightweight but he says it is warm. It looks good too. He about 5'8 190lbs. A large fit him pretty well.

Exactly what I expected.
Runs a little large but that is good for layering!

great jacket for layering
This is a great jacket for hiking in damp and cold conditions. It doesn't restrict any movements, sleeves don't ride up when you reach upwards and it is roomy enough to layer it with my down jacket underneath at campside. It works perfectly into my layering system.

Light and warm
Great jacket. More of a relaxed fit. I would recommend it to anyone who wants light packable and warm.
April 6, 2009
Excellent lightweight jacket
Very warm considering the weight. If you are looking for a jacket that has the warmth without the bulk, this is a great choice.

Warm, warm warm!
This jacket keeps the wind off your back and your body heat inside. It's not too bulky, easily compressing (in it's handy stuff sack) to a manageable size. Great for the trail or in town.

Comfortable
It is warm and feels as though you do not have a jacket on at all. I enjoy the freedom of movement that this jacket allows.

Like a boiler...
This jacket is super warm. First weekend I had it we went hiking in 0-degree weather in the Shenandoah. I actually put on too many layers. Once I shed down to one layer (Capilene 2), this jacket was perfect. The material seems very solid. I was a little worried it might tear, but have not had any problems. I am 6'2" and 200 lbs, so I ordered the extra large for room to layer, but if I had to do it again and because the jacket is so warm (only really need one layer), I would probably by a large.

awesome
This is the perfect all around weather jacket for a guy. It's lightweight and not bulky, but still protects you from the cold.
February 26, 2009
Great Jacket
Light weight, compacts down to nothing, a great jacket!
February 7, 2009
Large sizes
5'8", 145 lbs, and the medium is too big. Would fit over a few other layers, but it's unsuitable for an outer layer because the shell material would rip too easily. The quality of material and zippers, as well as the overall cut, is what you'd expect from Patagonia - first rate. But their sizing chart is a little odd on this one.

Light / Warm / Packs Small
Very satisfied with this jacket. This jacket is half the weight of my heaviest fleece and warmer. You hear a lot of comments regarding size about this jacket. I am 6'1" and 190 pounds and got a size large which was roomy enough to layer but not too big.
