Though each Patagonia® product is designed and shaped specifically for its intended use, we can generalize our fit descriptions in four ways:
Formfitting: Conforms to the body's contours.
Slim Fit: Closer-fitting. Slim-fitting technical garments may be worn over baselayers and light midlayers.
Regular Fit: Neither slim nor oversized. Regular-fitting technical garments may be worn over heavier midlayers.

Classic Boy Fit: Boxy, athletic, with a traditional crew neck.
Anika Fit: Formfitting and longer in the torso, with a wider, deeper neck (not quite scoop).close

the best polo
May 08, 2011
I've always thought Patagonia polo shirts are the best, but this latest incarnation (May 2010) takes it up a notch (if that's even possible!). The fabric is EXTREMELY soft, the cut is just right (truly 'regular,' neither 'slim' nor 'relaxed'), and the collar is a bit smaller, which I really like.Pros: Build quality
Good all around shirt
December 05, 2010
Somewhat loose fitting. I usually wear an xl but I wear a large with this polo. Also be careful about laying it around potential bleach agents, such as benzoyl or moisturizers, the dye came off on my shirt and now it's unwearable.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great value, Cons: Wears quickly
Patagonia Polos are great
July 28, 2009
I have worn Patagonia Polos for years to work or for leisure wear. I love them. Great fit and the colors are perfect.
Patagonia polo shirts are the best!
August 12, 2010
Very comfortable and well made, perfect weight. I usually wear Ralph Lauren polo shirts but switched to Patagonia for the slimmer fit and shorter length so the polo shirt can be worn tucked in or out. The organic cotton is a smoother weave but very durable. Just wish the polo shirt came in a greater variety of solid colors.
Good quality shirt - fits waay big
April 25, 2005
Nice shirt, well made, good fabric, but I am 6'1 200lbs and the large was still seriously long on me.
March 03, 2010
The fit of this shirt is great, doesn't lose it's luster with multiple washings and the comfort is exceptional.
a great shirt!
March 19, 2005
Great quality shirt, i usualy wear a medium but the shirt seemed a bit large, i'm 6' and the length was more than i usually wear so you may want to buy a size down...the quality is excellent and it looks great
Nice shirt, good price.
March 27, 2005
Got the shirt on sale. Really nice material, nice fit and excellent quality. All typical of Patagonia clothing. I don't know if I would have paid the full asking price for a polo shirt though. I've had several other casual shirts from Patagonia and they wear like iron. I'm sure these will as well.
April 02, 2013
I usually wear polos to work and this is probably the most comfortable polo I've ever owned! It appears to be durable, but I can't speak to that yet as I've only had it for a couple of weeks and a couple of wears. So far so good! I'll definitely be buying more of these over time when I can catch them on sale.Pros: Build quality
For the big boned
April 10, 2012
Very comfortable and seemingly well made polo. The logo is very subtlw, which I prefer. The sizing is quite large so don't expect a fitted look. Bottomline is that this is a great polo for someone not looking to tuck it in. Tuck it in and you'll have all sorts of excess fabric. I purchased a small and I'm 5'5, 145, medium build.
May 11, 2010
Fits true to size. Although it's 100% cotton, it is easy to care for as it only needs a quick touch up with an iron. Looks great with jeans while doing weekend errands. Goes great with khakis on Friday's at work. Best polo I have ever purchased.
All around great shirt
October 11, 2009
A great shirt to wear around the office.
January 05, 2006
These are the best polos I've found.
June 23, 2010
Very Comfortable and great for outdoor activities.
very good polo
April 12, 2010
all cotton & mostly don't need ironing. i'm 5'10" 170 w/41-42"chest & the medium fits just right. are they good? i bought 2 more.
July 21, 2011
This is a very well made shirt and comfortable. Patagonia made a quality shirt here. You want a cotton polo purchase this polo. Little higher than other polos but quality and comfort are there.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use
I own 10 of these!
November 21, 2010
Great durable Polo. I'm always a large but in this polo I buy mediums and when I wash, I wash in cold and air dry. This keeps the shirts shape, color, and it last longer. The large is way to baggy and frumpy looking on my 5 10 large build.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Great value
April 08, 2005
great shirt, they seem to fit one size larger than most other patagonia products
July 29, 2009
This is exactly what I was hoping for. Love the feel and the breathability of the shirt. Plan on ordering another very soon.
great fit, good material, and holds up well
April 08, 2006
the best quality and fit out there
Patagonia SS Polo
February 25, 2011
What can I say. These shirts are my daily uniform. I wear a SS or a LS nearly every day. They wash great, wear great, and come out of the wash great. Buy them now!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
Fine Work Polo
May 02, 2005
This is a quality shirt that is great for work. My only complaint would be that it lacks any synthetic material. Quality construction and fit.
Excellent with caveats
April 25, 2012
These are indeed my favorite polos. Excellent material and styling, with the trimmer collar especially appreciated. However, a recent purchase demonstrates a couple of caveats: A hole near a seam developed after a single laundering (this happened before too). And the sizing from shirt to shirt is highly variable. I'm 5'9" 175lbs and can wear a "big" medium or a "small" large.
Patagonia Quality as Always
December 12, 2010
Never disappointed in purchasing Patagonia quality products. The company that provides great clothing for many years and stands behind them.Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever
March 07, 2012
This shirt is made of nice, soft, organic cotton, in a weight that is light and cool. The buttons are interesting, coconut shell, I think. I got the light blue, which is a dusky, manly shade of light blue. The fit is flattering. The shirt holds up in the dryer, and like most things, does best when taken out and folded or hung up right after.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Cons: Cost
Love everything Patagonia but...
June 09, 2011
Patagonia`s polo shirt is a durable, quality shirt but it fits like a sack. I am a Patagonia fan and have tried this shirt, I own 5, but it just doesn`t work for me. The tail is too short. The body is way too full. Sizing down scares me and I just do not like shirts that fit like a body glove. I will have to stick with Ralph Lauren`s version of this one. Sorry Patagonia!Cons: way too full in the body
durable and extremely soft cotton
June 05, 2005
Very comfortable against the skin.
Men's Polo Shirt
April 15, 2011
This is a very well made Polo shirt that is comfortable and true to size. It looks great on you and is soft next to the skin. The price is what you would expect to pay for a quality shirt, and this shirt is worth it.The many available colors are just a great asset to a excellent product.Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Great value
The best Polo
April 27, 2011
Patagonia classic polo is the best polo for me. I am 6'-4" 200 pound man and the Patagonia has long enough tail for me. Other brands commonly are too short. I like the look of the heavy 7.2 oz. fabric as well as how long it lasts. I have numerous solid polo's and now I could add a striped Patagonia polo.Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever
the BEST polo shirt at any price
February 14, 2006
for fit, feel, and durability this is the best
Straight forward polo
July 04, 2010
I like this polo. The buttons match the shirt color, and the Patagonia embroidered on the right chest is also the same color as the shirt, and is subtle. The arms have a hem that stretches out if you need it to. I normally wear a large, but I needed an extra large in this shirt.
Nice update to a Patagonia classic
October 10, 2009
I have worn Patagonia polos for years and their latest version is the best. The fabric is just slightly lighter weight which makes them comfortable in warmer weather. They are just a tad longer so they stay tucked in better, and they are more colorfast so you get much less fading after washing. They stay crisp and sharp looking to wear to the office and it's nice to know you are wearing organic cotton. Love these!
March 29, 2011
We have always loved Patagonia - for quality and practicality. I bought this polo for my college-age son in blueblack. Now, the other 2 men in our family both want it. It's a great shirt - nice color - nice feel and good fit.Pros: Great design, nice color, comfortable fit
December 06, 2010
Awesome polo shirt....at 5'10" 160, the M is perfect for me. QWuality is top notch, and style is classic.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever
March 29, 2005
Size is larger than usual.
August 16, 2008
soft to start, softer with wear
June 02, 2011
Feel of the fabric is noticeably better than most polo shirts. I'm 5'6", 167 lbs and a medium feels a bit larger than medium shirts from other brands like Mountain Hardwear and Arcteryx. Nevertheless I'm still happy with the fit overall. Altrec shipping and customer service was prompt and professionalPros: Build quality, Lasts forever
June 25, 2009
Bought two for Father's Day. Love the "Green Leaf" color! They wash up great, and NO WRINKLES(I despise ironing polos). You can always trust Patagonia's quality, and this shirt is no exception!
My Husband loved his Patagonia Shirt
January 09, 2012
This shirt is very nice quality, the arrival was very quick, very up to date style and my husband loved it. Will definitely use Altrec again. The price could not be beat.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great value
Beautiful polo shirt
June 30, 2011
The polo shirt is very beautiful, it Wearing very comfortable!...................................................................................................................I like this polo shirt!
The Rolls Royce of Polos
April 05, 2013
The Patagonia Men's Polo Shirt is functional, fashionable, and well tailored. Its 100% organic cotton material makes it incredibly comfortable and suitable for work or recreation. Im 510 and weight 150 pounds. The large fits perfectly. I like the feel of Patagonias regular as opposed to their slim fit. I own six of these shirts and have noticed little to no shrinkage after numerous washings.Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance
A must have
April 23, 2006
Get it,then you'll like it!
March 28, 2005
Great...a beefy shirt but not too hot. Sized generously and fit just right.
October 03, 2005
One of the best polos out there. Substantial fabric and great attention to detail.
August 16, 2013
I have purchased a number of polo shirts over the years and have found that Patagonia's are the best. The quality is excellent and the shirt still looks good after many washings. While they are a bit expensive I think they are great value due to the high durability. Highly recommended.Pros: Build quality, Great value
Best Polos Period
December 21, 2010
I have a black one of these from 4-5 years ago, and it's almost as dark black as the day I got it, despite tons of washings. I love the narrower 3 button packet and reinforced seams. Every summer I think I'm gonna need to buy another but this one just keeps going and going. I've since bought several others as gifts for people and they all say the same thing, impressed by how well it holds it's color in the laundry, looks nice, and wears great. Over the years it's stretched out a little but still fits well. My only complaint about the new ones is that they changed the bottom of the placket a bit so that it's lower profile on the outside, which sometimes rubs my chest annoyingly on the inside. I favor the old design with the raised placket all on the outside, but anyway, still a great shirt...Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Great value
March 16, 2009
Great polos. Extremely versatile standard polo shirts. Hard to wrinkle. I'm a college student and I highly recommend them to anyone, any age, anywhere.
a favorite of mine
June 03, 2009
I've worn these shirts for years. They are a great weight, wear well, keep their color and shape. My only suggestion to Patagonia would be to offer more lighter colors.
They've got it just right.
July 24, 2009
I've been wearing Patagonia polos for several years. This one is just a bit lighter (in fabric weight) than my old ones. I like it like that. Still has the same old virtues: Patagonia quality; very comfortable fabric; good fit, w/plenty of room; styled to wear tucked in or out. I expect that it will last forever, just like my old ones. All in all, I recommend this shirt wholeheartedly.
January 27, 2010
Fits great, looks great, and is made of very soft organic cotton. Really like this shirt a lot, and would recommend this shirt to anybody. Patagonia makes a solid product. This polo shirt is definitely worth the price. Highly recommended.
