Great product, whether on the mountain or wearing it around town. Perfect for layering for all outdoor activities, and the fit is great. I'm 6'2" and 185 lbs and the large fits comfortably - not too bulky but leaves enough room for baselayer(s).

Bought this for my son's summer Outward Bound trip. This will be his primary insulation for a 8 day backpacking trip at 6,000 feet. Quality and fit is very good, as you would expect from Patagonia

The Patagonia R1 Pullover is the perfect mid layer for any cold weather outdoor activity. I used it as a mid layer on ski trips to Vail and Lake Tahoe and it helped keep me warm and dry. It is well made, as you would expect from Patagonia, and washes up great. I've also used it fly-fishing... very versatile. Runs true to size but slimmer fit. I'm 6' 1", 195lbs and wear a Large.

The R1 is a must have for backpacking.

The R1 is the most versitile jacket I've ever owned. This new one replaced a similar model I bought 9 years ago. I already am thrilled to see an updated version. As a layer or a coat, it breathes to keep you cool or warm as needed. You won't be disappointed.

Love the design, comfort, and fit. Wore it all day in the current blizzard we are having in the Midwest. Kept me toasty warm under my Patagonia jacket.

Excellent piece of gear for layering in the backcountry or just wearing around the neighborhood. This garment is not windproof, so if you know that going in you will be happy to use it as part of a layering system and will not be disappointed.

The R1 Pullover is the best baselayer in the Patagonia arsenal.Its interior grid pattern allows for maximum warmth .The R1 is priced well and Altrec is the gold standard for service and inventory.

I got a L (6'3" 190) and it fits great. Slim cut and snug but not tight, long sleeves with easy movement, awesome soft material that breaths when you need it and insulates when the temp drops. Collar isn't structured so you have to fold it down unless zipped to the top - only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5. Great, great pullover though. My North Face TKA100 weight half zip pullover has been my favorite for 3 years - this is somehow more comfortable and better fitting (and I love that NF pullover).

This pullover is well-cut and sewn. The materials are soft and warm, though light weight. Great for wearing around the house or outdoors on chilly nights.

This is an awesome product. Every so often, one buys an item and when it begins to wear out, you wonder why you didn't buy more than one. This is one of those items. It's comfortable and durable and very useful, both as a layer under other clothing, and over a T-shirt for a chilly evening or early morning. Buy two, you won't regret it.

The Men's R1 Pullover is a must have for all alpine pursuits. It is also a handsome piece for nights out on the town! Its interior grid pattern helps control body temperature nicely. Best item in your arsenal.

I use the prodcut for everyday use and love it. Its great for crisp fall days. Good comfort level and style and I never seem to leave home without it. I like the halfzip and the fit of the product - not baggy at all. Longer lenght keeps the wind out when you bend over. Good overall product and a staple.

3-season layer

From -6F (with UA Cold Gear base layer and Nano Puff pullover shell) to +45F, this has been my essential piece of running equipment. I'm 6'2" and weigh 180 pounds and size large fits me perfectly. Wash and hang to dry and it's ready to wear again in 3 hours. Best of all, I appreciate Altrec's quick and reliable service.

I bought pullover as a lightweight insulator for skiing and backpacking trips. With a base layer and lined outer jacket kept me warm even in freezing NH. It is very warm but also moves moisture very well. I also wore it under a shell on freezing day biking and even though I worked up a sweat it kept me dry and warm. The smooth outer face makes it very easy to layer with. I am 5'8" 160lbs and the fit is perfect

Very comfortable material. Seems like it will last a long time. Great warmth when paired with a base layer. A definite must have in your wardrobe. I am 5'9" and 170 and got a medium. Fits great.

I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package to find my R1 today. Not only was the fit and quality perfect (as is all Patagonia gear), but I found that even with nothing but a regular t-shirt on under the R1 I was toasty warm in 30 degree weather! I can only imagine what it would be like with a good base layer under it and a shell on over it. PERFECT! Thanks Altrec and Patagonia!!
