Riparian forests, ephemeral vernal pools and the prospect of retiring to a country inn at day?s end make the Robert Frost Trail a relaxing three-day journey?and an ideal outing for a pair of Ranger Smiths. The boots? pigskin leather uppers are naturally water resistant, and their trail-worthy Vibram EcoStep outsoles are made from 30% recycled rubber?sustainable in their durability and minimal environmental impact. A 100% recycled polyethylene/polyurethane shank protects and supports on rough trails and under load. Partially recycled air cushion midsoles soften the ride. Cork footbeds incorporate active carbon to reduce foot funk. Ankle-height Polartec linings and dri-lex backed wool footbed linings provide moisture and temperature control.

I bought these boots thinking that they would be comfortable. Wow...I was right. I work at a dam and am on concrete all day. I thought that if people can hike in them all day they must be very supportive and they are. My lower back and knees no longer hurt when I get home from the beating they take from walking on concrete all day. I would recommend these to anyone and have to my brother, although he works at a wood mill and said that he wouldn't want them to get dirty because they look so nice...
