I was one of the original North Face customers in the very early 1970's. North face used to be a status (and quality) name--now every Tom, Dick and Susan is wearing them! I want something high quality with a status name. Patagonia is that product. I like the fact that the price is higher!! The quality and style is also there. It is a wonderful product. Great warranty. Fits well. Oh--Altrec is a fine company to do business with--Customer service and the live chat is very helpful.
