Though each Patagonia® product is designed and shaped specifically for its intended use, we can generalize our fit descriptions in four ways:
Formfitting: Conforms to the body's contours.
Slim Fit: Closer-fitting. Slim-fitting technical garments may be worn over baselayers and light midlayers.
Regular Fit: Neither slim nor oversized. Regular-fitting technical garments may be worn over heavier midlayers.

Anika Fit: Formfitting and longer in the torso, with a wider, deeper neck (not quite scoop).close

Will start off with the fit, it's trim fit though not uncomfortable. I wear large in Patagonia button down shirts and the large fit me well in this. From the comfort side, awesome. Light feel and it flexes well. The sleeves are a bit longer than i expected, but when you get moving around in the jacket you realize that's a great thing. Other soft shells i own are great until you extend your arms and the sleeves pull back 3". The blue is fairly bright, but with the other colours looking a bit depressing, glad i went with it.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Cons: Cost
Great Everyday Jacket
May 09, 2012
I was looking for a jacket I could wear everyday that would hold up in an ever changing climate and this jacket has been perfect. I especially love the fit, not boxy, slim, but not overly fitted, a perfect balance. Color goes with everything! Great as a layering jacket as well. It has kept me warm against windy and gusty days, and warm when it has been misty and foggy. Highly recommend it.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, fit
great for price

windproof softshell by patagonia. nuff said, but it really is nice. at 5'10" muscular 190, a medium is a good performance fit. haven't had a chance to use on the slopes, but think it'll be just fine on the east coastPros: Great design, Performance, Great value

I'm a big Patagonia fan. This is a very good "value" for a light jacket and the material has a lot of "give". It lacked some of the details (cuffs) of my previous Patagonia jacket that it replaced that was getting worn (7 years old). It's a good "value" coat and can be recycled when you are done with it (years from now). Great for the Spring and Fall here in the SF Bay Area. Can't bring myself to get rid of my old Patagonia coat, will use it working in the garden.Pros: Great value, Cons: simple details
Very well made breathable stretchy and versatile.

Very happy with this; color is attractive and usual Patagonia quality and fit. Patagonia has sized things up a bit over the past few years, at 5 -11 and 170 the medium fits well.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Great value
Nice lightweight softshell
October 10, 2011
This softshell lives up to the expectations I have come to expect from Patagonia products. It is lightweight enough for early fall and late spring, but you could throw a fleece or hoodie on underneath it and wear it up until the snow starts to fly. The fit is athletic; I'm 6'1" with broad shoulders, and an XL fits well with a bit of room for a layer underneath. I really like the zippered exterior chest pocket, it keeps the cell phone close at hand, but secure during hikes and runs. Cons: The arm length seems a bit long, but not a big deal overall. I got the Bali blue color, and it is bright! Overall, I would put this at 4.5 stars.Pros: Build quality, Performance
Nice Light Jacket
April 05, 2010
The jacket has a nice slim fit and a great color. Expected a somewhat warmer jacket. The partial lining doesn't block winds very well. It was a good buy for warmer spring weather.

It's very comfy jacket, especially suitable for spring or fall, very breathable and some windproof. Moreover, It looks very cool and stylish, I like it very much, at last, It has high quality , just like other Patagonia items.
Great versatile jacket for travel
June 28, 2011
I was looking for a versatile hybrid jacket for some long-term travel in Asia next year. This lightweight jacket collapses nicely and has a nice slim fit. Patagonia quality exceeds my expectations again. The shell is a little thin, but is well insulated and breathes well. This jacket paired with a long-sleeve underneath should handle most mild conditions for me. I'm 5'5" and 130, so it's exactly what I was looking for. Thank goodness Patagonia jackets also come in XS.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use
Good overall jacket
March 03, 2010
This jacket by Patagonia reflects the company's high standard of quality and design; It is light but provides utility for many activities - day-hiking to riding a motorcycle. A polar fleece vest layered under it works well but anything thicker or with baggy sleeves underneath may feel uncomfortable. A couple things may improve it - simply a loop near the collar to hang it. In addition, the elastic at the end of the sleeves seem thin and weak. Possibly Velcro closures or wider elastic would improve it.
nice lightweight jacket
April 16, 2011
Expected a slightly warmer jacket, but this will be a great spring/summer jacket. Very flexible and comfortable, but it holds its shape nicely when unzipped. Feels like it breathes pretty well. I'm 6'1" and 185 lbs and the medium fits true to size (which means it looks fitted on my frame). Probably not enough room to layer much other than a snug lightweight fleece pullover underneath the jacket on me. Also, the raven color isn't quite black. More like a blue-ish super-dark gray/black; I like it. Only nit I have is that I wish there was a loop at the collar to hang it.Pros: comfortable
Great lightweight jacket
August 23, 2010
This jacket is light but serves it's purpose when a long sleeve t-shirt isn't enough and a pullover fleece is too much...all with a simple refined look. The jacket seems to have technical roots but works well for a mountain bike ride or with business casual entire. I agree with the other post that the addition of a loop would be a nice to have and the elastic at the sleeve ends seems weak...but alas, it's guaranteed-another plus from Patagucci.
Great light jacket

This jacket is a great piece of equipment for Spring & Summer weather. Its design is very simple but once you wear it you can appreciate its softness & lightness. The color is also great. Another excellent product by Patagonia.
