Casual hoody
August 17, 2012
I bought this as a casual, around town hoody that might get occasional use nordic skiing or snow shoeing, and it fits the bill. I was concerned that the relaxed fit would be overly baggy, but it's pretty much just right. I'm 185 lbs, 6'1" with just a tiny bit of residual pudge. Patagonia size large is typically a bit roomy but good length for me. On this piece, that ends up being the perfect fit -- a bit roomy to comfortably allow a thick shirt or sweater underneath. I don't expect great wind or water resistance, but there is some. Beware, the "turn" colors have a strange pattern to them that I didn't like, but the grey color works for me.

Item arrived promptly and as shown. Lightweight design makes it perfect for cool summer evening bike rides. Hoody is large enough for a light sweater underneath, but this hoody is plenty warm already.

Love this jacket!

It's an insulated hoodie sweatshirt. Perfect for throwing on when it's cool in the morning or evening. It's loose-fitting so there is plenty of room to layer over a sweater or down vest when it gets really cold. You should buy this!
Fantabulous!

I got this as a Christmas present for my boyfriend, and he loves it. The sleeves are long enough (too-short sleeves are sometimes a problem for him), and it's very well cut in general. I thought the outside might be too stiff/rough, but it's not at all! He uses it as an outer layer while snowboarding, as well as just around town. It's not really that thick, though, so it's good if you like to use multiple layers (another fleece under it). I would definitely recommend this sweatshirt!
Excellent Product

Very good under an outer light shell. Traps heat and wicks moisture.

It is my favorite hoody, period. It is very stylish and comfortable as a mid layer and goes well with casual spring and fall activities. True to its size and easy to maintain. I highly recommend it to hoody lovers. You got to have it.

Amesome hoody

This hoody is great for winter wear as light/medium weight shell. It does run big, I am 6'2 and 175 lbs. and the medium fits great. The styling is fitted enough to wear solo yet roomy enough to wear a light insulated jacket or vest underneath. The zippered inside pockets are fleece lined for extra warmth and are great for securing odds and ends. I had an older version of this jacket in a size large and it was too big and baggy. I liked the look and usefulness of the hoody so I decided to buy the new version in a size smaller (medium) and I have to say, its awesome. The DWR finish seems much better than on the older version of this jacket. I was out running around town in spitting rain/snow the other day and the water beaded up and ran off nicely. I doubt it would keep out heavy rain, but for snow and light rain common in mountain environments this hoody rocks. In all, this hoody is great for hanging around town, chillin at the lodge or carvin runs on bluebird powder days. Highly recommended!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Great valuePerfect hoody for men

I received the Slopestyle Hoody within a week from the day I ordered. It fit me perfect in size M with brown color. I am 5.8" 155bl, there is a little room for thick shirt if needed, and in case the Slopestyle Hoody shrinks. The arms' length are perfect, so I don't have to roll-up. I also like the material, it is soft and light weight.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: Wears quickly, Cost, Poor qualityGreat Hoodie for Skiing and Urban Adventures

I'll start by saying I've skied in this hoody @ Tahoe on warmer days and it's perfect for that activity. The hoody is well made, not too snug (good when you're moving around a lot) and relatively warm. I think it was in the mid 40's on my ski days and I had two light layers on underneath it, and I had room for additional more. It's also pretty water resistant, good for when you wipe out in powder - not for a rain storm. It's also pretty windproof and it serves double duty in the city of SF...it holds up very well to the sometimes incessant wind and mist the city has to offer. Highly recommend this piece. Note that it does run bigger than other Patagonia items - it is designed for skiing so the extra "roominess" has a purpose. Enjoy!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, PerformanceGreat sweatshirt/outer layer

Overall I was very pleased with this sweatshirt. The quality is great, and it's very comfortable. I actually ordered several different sizes as gifts for groomsmen in my wedding (and one for myself). It's hard to tell which size is right online sometimes, and especially having ordered so many different sizes for this sweatshirt I can say that it runs big. This might work fine if you're planning to use it as more of a top layer like a jacket, but as a sweatshirt to wear around the house it's pretty baggy.
Best Hoodie Ever

I love this hoodie. I take it everywhere I go. It's perfect for going on a hike or wandering around a new city. The inside zippered pockets are real nice for keeping stuff safe.

Very warm and roomy to layer underneath. Large pockets great to hold stuff without fear of falling out. The bottoms tightens with the pull of a cord inside the pockets is an awesome design. You can beat Patagonia quality!

Nice hoodie for casual use. Not really soft shell material, which I thought it was originally. It has a glossy sheen to it. Jacket is not particularly warm at all and does not really block wind either.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Ease of use, Cons: Cost, Low performanceBest Hoody alive!!!

Pretty Good

A more baggy than relaxed fit. It's great for layering underneath the hoody, but more tricky for using it to layer under other pieces The hood fits better than body & is somewhat adjustable.

Solid hoody for the slopes, but a bit barebones
March 10, 2013
Fits large, like most Patagonia. Pretty warm for the weight. Has slits for your thumb for 'make shift' gloves if it's not brutal out. Overall would recommend as it's a pretty good price for Patagonia. However, there are limited 'features' to the jacket - no inside pockets, sleeve pockets or chest pockets.

Awesome Hoodie

I haven't had the opportunity to wear this in the backcountry or on the slopes, but it has been great for wearing around town as a spring jacket. The cut is loose and roomy, as compared with my Patagonia hard shell, which has a much more fitted cut.
Very nice hoody

This hoody is the best made and most comfortable hoody I own. I didn't think I would ever use the thumb holes on the sleeves but they sure came in handy the other day when I forgot my gloves on a cold day.

Solid Hoody for grab and go
January 03, 2007
While this hoody is fleece lined, the exterior is more like a soft shell making it a great jacket when you don't want to be bogged down by heavy layers. Thumbholes in the sleeve also make a great addition.
Great Jacket

Super-comfortable soft-shell jacket. Feels like a sweatshirt, but wears like a jacket. Great details--large hand-warming pockets, zippered pockets, interior drawstring, and more.

Love this hoody! Perfect for the mountain or for lounging around. It's got a really deep hood with hidden cinches so you don't have drawstrings flopping around. The waistband tightens as well.
