Great jacket
January 06, 2013

Great jacket in the rain, the snow and the wind. I dislike rain, but I'm each time dry with this waterproof jacket. Sleeves are well constructed. I may pick up my hands without jacket lifting at the waist. The hood is well adjustable with touch point system. The laminated visor on the hood ensures a good view. This is my first item from Patagonia but certainly not the last.

Pros: durable, waterproof, hood, Cons: expensive

Flawless workmanship
March 02, 2013

This is by far the best outer shell I have ever owned. The fit is comfortable and allows for adequate layering of different levels. The seams are very well done throughout the jackest. Plenty of room for a helmet under the hood with good visability when turning your head. Zippers are meticulasly done. This jacket has kept me dry and warm in the harshest conditions. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a high quality outer shell.

Pros: breathability, wind protection, generous pockets, pit zips, adjustale cuffs

great shell
December 03, 2012

6.1 215 pounds. i have a large and i can layer under it. this is a serious jacket. the cuffs have a rubbery gasket that has a great seal. the hood is designed with helmet use in mind. good pocket layout(expand for extra stuff). It's proshell so it's tough but still light enough so it packs well. good breathability and the pitzips help regulate heat. I usually stick with arc'teryx because of their great fit for me and of course their quality. This patagonia shell is well worth it.you won't be disappointed to own it. As a disclaimer I receive products from gore for the purpose of testing and reviewing

Hurricane Proof
December 21, 2012

Talk about a good first impression. Right after I got this jacket I was in the thick of it that was Super Storm/ Hurricane Sandy. In both the rain and the snow that it dumped on us it certainly proved its worth. Hands down my favorite thing about this jacket is the wrist gaskets...what a great addition. The fit is spot on as it is cut athletic but easy to layer underneath as the temps drop. At this point I have been through multiple Gore-tex Shells and this is my favorite so far. Its burly and is taking all the abuse I can give it. As a disclaimer I test products for the Gore company.

Pros: waterproof, breathable, cut/fit, durable

Great shell, looks cool too.

This is a very well-designed jacket. I like the pleated pockets, which allow for fitting gloves or mitts inside them. I am 5'11" 155lbs and I can layer under a size medium. The material is rugged and good for wearing a harness.

Pros: rugged, stylish, waterproof, breathable, Cons: expensive
