I ordered these for my husband when they were an Altrec Deal of the Day. Being female, I am not familiar with men's board shorts, but I assumed there would be a liner in them as in swim trunks. I was wrong--no liner. Also, they ran small. My husband usually wears a 32 or 33, and the the 34 was tight on him. Although they were attractive and well made, I had to return them:(

I bought 2 pair of these board shorts and am very pleased with their fit, finish, and construction. Patagonia is well know for the quality of their gear and clothing, so I am looking forward to wearing them for many summers to come.

The shorts are great; I received them in a very short time; I am very pleased with the whole process. The only drawback is that I can't wear them everyday to the beach! (I do have to work!)

These are my favorite board shorts. Fit true to size, nice fabric and super comfortable. There is a reasonable amount of size adjustment in the waist (better than a couple of other brands I have tried). The length is perfect on me and they look great.

Love the fact that they don't have the muffin top thing going on when I'm in the water. Drawstring works very well and the zippered pocket with the stretchy loop comes in handy for keys. Length is just above the knees.

These are simply the best board shorts I have owned. I have a few pairs and pretty much spent all summer in these things. Very light and comfortable and dry very quickly. A+

I was looking for a board shorts that I could both swim in and wear casually for quite a while and finally came across just the right pair. I'm happy with the style and would recommend going a size above for optimum fit. I'm looking forward to wearing them both in and out of the water on my upcoming trip to the tropics!

I work at a canoe livery, so I need something rugged and reliable to pull on in the morning. These are great shorts to wear day after day, and they look and feel great even without washing! I also love the handy pocket placement and the built in pocket drain: a very nice feature if you're in and out of the water constantly! These shorts will be a great addition to your outdoor wardrobe.

The meshed lined waistband is super plush and fits right on the hips nice and secure, even after dunking a 5 wave set. Zippers are killer for ez acess and doesn't stick to everything or blow out like velcro does, the zip fly is much nicer to lay on too. Key clip works great and there's the option of using the elastic cord for those large plasitc top keys as well. Drawstring occasionally comes undone, but I just double tie it and it's fine. It's cool to finally have a pair of shorts that gets the job done without all the flashy visual bells and whilstles. I'm very pleased and I can't wait to get a few more!

Quality shorts with good features. Unfortunately the legs are cut a little baggy for my liking, so I sent them back. Sizing is true to waist measurement.

Sizing runs small, but since I knew that I ordered a size larger and they fit perfectly. I have worn a Patagonia boardshort for the last 5 years and they have held up to any activity which demands quick drying, strong and secure fitting shorts. I dont think you can find a better short, especially at this price. These bad boys arrived at my place within 3 days of ordering too. Thanks Altrec.com!
