Sizing ChartPatagonia Micro Puff Pullover
Don't let the soft and ultra-lightweight profile of the Micro Puff Pullover fool you--this jacket isn't a lightweight when it comes to protecting you from summit gusts and high plains blasts. Beneath the microdenier polyester ripstop shell are layers of continuous hollow filament Polarguard® Delta insulation to help you retain heat even when the jacket is soaked (think river crossings in the rain). Polarguard® Delta doesn't clump up or separate like some synthetic and natural insulations, so you don't have the hassle of cold spots from shifting. This is a superb multipurpose pullover for hiking, climbing, fast packing and wherever your heart takes you outdoors.
- Windproof and water resistant 1-oz. 15 x 20 denier microdenier polyester ripstop shell with a Deluge™ DWR finish
- Warm and compressible 2.6-oz. Polarguard® Delta insulation
- Soft 1-oz. microdenier polyester ripstop lining with a DWR finish
- Sized appropriately for lightweight layering
- Chest pocket with hidden zipper
- Half elastic cuffs easily fit over forearms
- Water resistant stuff sack for convenient packing included

This pullover is very warm with respect to it's weight. This version seems to have a bit more loft than previous years. It's sized big enough to have a layer or two under it. This jacket will be in my pack all winter.

Outstanding warmth to weight ratio, fit perfectly over my base layer and long-sleeved pullover shirt. Took my summer bag, a “Exped Wall Climber” which is rated to 40f, this new Patagonia addition kept its loft all night and got me through a 28f night on the OHT….OK, OK, I woke up every two hours and did some crunches to get my core temp up….not the most comfortable night but this light weight bad-boy really took the edge off what could have been unbearable night. I think I got a winner that will go on my first pick checklist on many more trips to come.

This sweater is a must have for outdoor people. It is especially great for backpacking since it is light, warm, windproof and waterresistant. Furthermore it does not get lumpy when wet.

Have not been able to test in really cold weather yet. It is very light in weight and size. Looking forward to updating my review when I get to try it during a planned winter hike. The Micro Puff handled the low
40's with ease with just a wicking short sleeve shirt underneath. Thanks Altrec for getting the micro to me in time for my trip.

very light, packable, and warm. an awesome deal when altrec puts on sale. the only drawback in my mind is the cuffs: their crinkels are a bit rough on my wrists, perhaps they'll soften up with more use.
Anonymous - 2004-08-25Sizing way off, but puffs up great
Just a word of warning - the sizing on the Medium is way off. It is huge, especially around the chest and waist.. very disappointed that I can't use since the jacket puffs up incredibly for synthetic material.
I always wear medium in Patagonia and up until now it has fittted me perfectly.
