R1 Headband
R1 fleece is THE low bulk, breathable, quick drying, performance fleece. Patagonia used this excellent material to make a really nice ergonomic headband. It covers my ears and stays in place without going over my eyes or moving around on my weird shaped head.
Keep in mind that it is definitely a lightweight option for active pursuits or mild conditions. If you're expecting it to keep your ears really cozy while your sitting on a chairlift getting blasted by cold wind, it won't.
Know that R1 fleece is not as durable as classic fleece materials. This piece really doesn't need to be very durable so the R1 really works. The construction is 10/10, but the material is inherently un-bomber.

Love this headband. It is comfortable and keeps my ears warm on windy days. I'm going to buy another for my daughter since she does not like wearing a hat either.

Warms your head and ears
Bought this for my mother for her walk during the winter months. Covers her head and ears nicely, and stylish too. Haven't tried it out in a sub-freezing night yet but I think this will at least keep her ears warm.

Great Headband
This is a great, and simple, headband. It has very little bulk, and weighs almost nothing. However, it really helps add to your comfort on cold and breezy days. I carry one in every jacket I own. The R1 fabric is perfect and comfy.

Warm 'n Comfy
I've never been disappointed with Patagonia gear and the R1 Headband continues the trend. I like that a size can be selected for the headband (rather than the typical "one size fits all"). On winter hikes I use the R1 Headband with a baseball style running hat. It is also easy to throw in a jacket pocket for use when needed around town. The headband is warm and wicks very well.

Patagonia delivers!
This headband is comfortable and warm...but not too warm. I like the contoured style so it is comfortable on your ears and fully covers them. The material is extra soft on the inside. I saw this very headband in the blue color on Patagonia's website for full price...Altrec's price was almost half of that. Very pleased.

Good, snug headband for running in colder weather. Thicker around ears for full-coverage. Soft inside to prevent irritation.

I use this a lot when I run in cold weather. My ears are always the coldest part of my body. A hat is usually too much and doesn't cover my ears as well. Since this headband actually has different sizes, the fit is quite good. It is still stretchy and fits over my ears just right. It absorbs sweat and keeps my ears warm and relatively dry. I've washed it many times already and it is holding up very well.
