Best belt I've ever owned
Great belt, really like the buckle and the webbing is burly. I've owned many web belts but non like this. It's well worth the price. Only bad thing is the end gets a little frayed nothing a little fire cant fix to melt the frayed nylon threads.

Simple Excellence
Finaly some one has made the perfect belt, the only thing better is to have two.. I had bought a work belt at the local big box store and knew I would not be satisfied. I should have insisted on this one to begin with..

Patagonia quality
You can't go wrong here, Patagonia quality all the way. Work well under carpenter's bags. Going to buy a couple more, great product, so it will probably be discontinued!

belt for all seasons
Since this belt is a one-size, I was worried that it would either be too long/short. I wear a size 34 waist and it fits perfectly (it has about 5" excess of the webbing). The belt is a thick webbing (very durable feeling), and the buckle is chunky and awesome. In a pinch, this very easily could double as a life-line. I love the look/character and the sturdiness.

awesome versatile belt
Excellent all purpose belt. I can even wear it to work sometimes as "smart casual" look. Doesn't loosen when used during active use like other belts have done. Super easy to cut to desired length and burn edge. I don't think it'll undo or fray given my experience thus far with the belt. Highly recommend!

Great Tech Web Belt for Almost Any Occasion!
Patagonia Tech Web Belt is solid and comfortable. It looks great with jeans, khakis, or shorts. Buckle holds fast and looks especially good for those occasions when you actually have to tuck in your shirt. I have both the Black and Blueblack colors and I am very happy!

Holds my pants up
This belt is built to last. I can't imagine this heavy webbing will ever break or wear out. I have a 32/33 inch waist and there is plenty of extra length to this belt (the extra could easily be trimmed, but leaving it allows the belt to be used a a gear strap or extra lashing if needed). The buckle is easy on and off and the bottle opener is has come in handy a time or two.

Best Web Belt
Awesome web belt. What's nice is it holds your size with the initial loop through instead of other web belts that slip. Excellent belt. I will be buying two more. One extra for me and one for my rock climbing bro.

won't weight you down!
Great belt. Even looks sophisticated with the brushed aluminum buckle! Many colors to choose from, make me want to buy another. Bottle opener function is icing on the cake! Finally a belt that won't tear, crack, or get all mis-shaped.
Kudos to Patagonia for making a belt that does more!

Simple and Stylish
The belt looks great. Nice and simple. It never comes undone while I'm wearing it unlike some other polyester web belts I've had in the past. Typical excellent Patagonia quality.

Excellent
Love this belt. The buckle is a little bigger than I thought. It is so easy to adjust, before and after meal. :) Thinner and lighter than my regular leather belt. This will last forever.

A good, durability belt
I bought this belt for my self and my wife. We both like this belt very much. It is strong, durability, smart. If there are more colors for selecting, I am likely to buy another two ones.

great belt
This belt is awesome. I haven't mastered opening a beer bottle yet, but I plan to get a lot of practice. There's a little more tail after tightening the belt than I would prefer, but I guess that's what you get with a "one-size-fits-all" belt. I'm a 34" waist.

This belt is a great value. Construction, owing to simplicity and chunkiness, appears bomb-proof. That same simplicity and quality of materials with the addition of a wide variety of colors make this compatible with a range of dress. Bought second right after receiving first.

Go-to weekend belt
Highly durable, uniquely versatile. Hiking, hunting, working around the house, even a casual night out -- this is my "utility belt". I have about five different colors and every one has demonstrated typical Patagonia quality.

Great Belt
Got this belt to wear fossile hunting & kayaking. Wanted an indestructible belt i could get wet. Exceeded my expectations. Doesn't stick out. Stays tight. I wear to work and sometimes have tool belt over it. Didn't have to size it. Just tuck extra under belt loops. Great belt! Plan to get another one thats dark to match some of my work clothes. Currently have light color.

Great Belt
I've been looking for a good belt for a long time. By long time, I mean 10+ years. During that time, I've been using one of those black belts that goes along with dress pants and various other 'things' that come with cargo shorts I've bought in the past. I remember seeing people who had belts that were similar to this - but I never put in the effort to find one by myself.
With that background, I finally did put in the effort and gave one of these a shot. I got a grey one. And I love it. Best belt I have ever owned. Now I can use those black belts for the pants that they deserve - dress pants. This belt is now the go-to belt for all occasions. In fact, I got a second one - a white one. Highly recommended. If you're in the market for a belt that looks good and does exactly what you need it to, this is the belt for you.
A+ for Patagonia's Tech Web Belt. Cost is the only scary thing - but when you compare it to the buy two-get-one sales of other (inferior) belts, it's not that much.

fun and functional
love having the handy bottle opener. The gray color looks great with jeans, and the grip on the buckle really holds well. The belt lies flat, and transitions well from outdoor activities to a casual night on the town.

Tech Web Belt

Simple good looking micro-adjustable high quality belt. Perfect for all occasions. It arrived a little on the long side. You can customize by cutting some off and then burning the end.

most excellent all around belt
the tech web belt is great for casual, adventure and general all around ware. fits perfect easily adjustable and coould save yoy in a pinch as a strap for loading, binding, or dog leash! i have three and no regrets.

Good belt, if bulky
High quality nylon strap, good buckle with secure grip. Shouldn't slip unless you eat a whole ham. Buckle and strap combination is bulky & sticks out farther than most leather belts. Could snag on a turnstile in Rome and rip your pants clean off. But at least you'll be in Rome.

Strong, rugged...
Built to last, great all around belt. Size can be a litte long but it's works well and thinking of getting another color. I'm a fan of the clasp and design. Great casual belt and perfect for outdoors.

Phenomenal!
Has instantly become my favorite "all purpose utility belt." Nice & wide, incredibly well put-together. Love the width. I have a 35" waist, and the length is perfect - the tip goes nicely into the first belt loop for securing after it's run through the buckle. Have had absolutely NO problems w/slipping. It's built like a tank, and I expect years of use out of it.

Bulky
I'm not so fond of this belt because the buckle is bulky. It sits further away from your pants than normal belt buckles, therefore I wouldn't recommend it for backpacking.

nice belt
this belt has a good look and it holds where you snug it to because of a well designed buckle. I plan to get a couple more in other colors. Great for hiking pants as well as a good look with jeans or casual dress.

Excellent Accessory
I bought this belt for a pair of ski pants. It worked out great! Very comfortable, durable, and stylish. I didn't have any issues w/ the belt slipping at all. It was exactly what I was expecting from Altrec and Pategonia. I may end up buying another in a different color.

My Husband's Favorite Belt
This is my husband's favorite belt! He wears it for outdoor activities as well as work - casual dress. It is durable - never looks worn or faded and cleans easily with the wipe of a wet papertowel or cloth. My husband owns several. The dark charcoal color is perfect because it goes with almost everything.

Seriously Rugged Belt
I own a couple of these incredibly rugged belts. They're a nice alternative to a leather belt when wearing sandals or snow boots or other cases where you still want to look sharp but a leather belt might be out of place. Being infinitely adjustable, they handle my "seasonally variable waistline" very nicely. And the buckle really does double as a bottle opener!

Great Belt
While a little expensive, the belt is well made and looks good. The tech web belt adjusts easily and holds tension without slipping. Haven't tried to open a bottle yet... I wear it with my BDU pants for search & rescue work. Can also be worn with Carhartts for casual wear. Another good patagonia product.

Nice belt
This is a great, study belt. My only complaint is that the "teeth" that create the friction on the belt aren't sharp enough so sometimes the belt slips open. It seems like it needs to be constantly retightened. Other than that, really nice belt.

Great belt!
I have two of these that I wear every day. They are fashionable to wear with work khakis and durable enough to wear with my jeans. I have worn these backpacking and I have worn them in social settings and the belts have done the job. They hold well and do not slip. I can't say enough about these belts.

Patagonia Techweb belt
Takes about a month of consistent wearing for the belt to lose its stiffness but once it does it is so comfortable. In the meantime you have to put up with some uncomfortable digging when contorting your body in active situations. Holds really well when stressed and does not creep open like other webbed belts.

Love this thing!
This belt is spot on! It is simple to use and the fact that the buckle doubles as a bottle opener is awesome!
It fits nice and tight once it is cinched down and does not slip. I wear it while climbing and it holds everything in place for hours on end. I also wear it occasionally with jeans since it looks great too!
It is a bit long but I had no problems cutting it down and burning the end to sear it.
Another quality product from Patagonia.

Continuously Adjustable Belt!
My waist seems to shrink and expand based on what I've eaten. Because of this, my pants fit...sometimes. I've been wanting a belt that is continuously adjustable (i.e. no belt loops) for a while. My buddy Ritz had one of these and I wore it for a few days until he started to hide it from me. I was then forced to get one for myself. The belt rox!
It comes really long, so you have to shorten it yourself. Speaking of...be careful. I almost cut mine too short. Also, when you cut it, cut the tip at an angle so that it will more easily fit through belt loops. I messed this up since I cut it pretty much as short as it could be, without cutting the end at a slant. Bummer. It would be nice if the belt had a bit of stretch to it.
All in all, great belt that will last forever. Get one!

Great casual web belt! - buckle is still bulky
I used to use a cheap generic web belt with a rectangular buckle which would always stick out under my untucked t-shirt. I was looking to replace them and bought this belt based on the positive reviews. It is high quality and easy to wear. The buckle is still bulky, but there is no way around this when using a heavy-duty cotton web belt. I'd consider buying more in different colors.

Tough belt

Great For All Occasions
In the past I have worn mainly leather belts, but I don't like how they wear in some conditions especially when they become wet. I bought the Patagonia Tech Web Belt as a possible solution, and I am extremely pleased. Not only does it work well in all environments, the material has not stretched like a leather belt does. The teeth on the buckle hold everything together and the belt stays adjusted just as you would like. I've worn this belt with everything, jeans, khakis, shorts, ski pants, etc... One word "Excellent!"

Great belt for work or play
Love the belt and it actually works for casual dress, outdoor use or work days. Fairly stylish and excellent quality. It could stand to be a little longer, though. I'm 6'4", 230#, ~37" waist and there's not a lot left over after buckling.

perfect
I bought this belt for it's simplicity and it is exactly what I wanted and then some. I couldn't tell for sure without holding it but I was hoping the webbing was stiff enough to support carrying things on the belt without it folding and I was more than pleased. It dries quick and is very durable. It's typical Patagonia kit! Wonderful price for what you get. I am sure I'll have this belt in use for a very long time!

For me, the Patagonia Web Belt is all I need for anything that has belt loops and any occasion except maybe a big city wedding. Tough, rugged but always looks good.

Good Belt
A good belt for every day activities; around the garden, yard. I bought this belt for backpacking looking for a light weight solution. Buckle is too heavy for this and belt is too heavy duty as well.

Great Every Day Belt
I bought the Black and Silver belts for my outdoor hiking and photography outings. But I now wear them all the time. They hold my duty gear in place without ever loosening, sagging, folding or curling. May look at getting a new one in another color.

Solid, Tight, Heavy Duty Belt !
This nice belt fits all my pants smoothly and very sharp looking. Very good material so the belt dries very fast and doesn't get wet easily in snow. Flexible length makes it easy to fit all sizes. Will buy another one for my girlfriend too !

Perfect multi-use belt
I am an undercover detective and carry five lbs of gear on this belt. It does not sag or slip and I couldn't have asked for better design. It is now my favorite belt for work and casual wear. The bad thing for Patagonia is I think it will last forever. Buy one, you wont regret it.

Only reason I did not give this belt a 5 star rating is because the buckle area isn't as flush to the body as I like. Other than that this is a great functional belt that looks to last for a very long time.

Awesome Buy!
Strong with a great aluminum buckle. This friction belt does not loosen over time. It is a bit wide so it might not fit in some dressy pants, but jeans and chinos are just fine. I cut off the extra material and burned the end of the belt to get the proper length. Highly recommended.

Buy it, it's a good belt!
Simple design, cool buckle (bottle opener verified) all with the clean lines of nylon-like webbing. Bought the brown, and had to come back for the black!

great belt, just not 5 stars
The width of this belt is great. I have an old Friction belt, too, and while it's nice for light shorts, the Tech Web is made for jeans & pants. The buckle is a tad heavy and I think it could stand to be an inch or two longer, but overall this is a great belt that is sure to last.
