The material is high quality and the design is perfect for women who are active and need a snug but flexible fitting underwear! They also breath well and wash out and dry quickly in camping conditions.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, fitPerfect workout underwear
May 18, 2011
It may be a bit pricey but it's worth it- this underwear is the best. I have worn it for 5ks, 10 milers, and half marathons and now for marathon training. I wont run or race in anything else. It's comfortable, wicks, stays in place, doesn't chafe, doesn't ride up or bunch up, etc.
Pros: Great designwonderful

love me my patagonia undies
October 03, 2012
I always come back to the active briefs. I love to run, do yoga, tennis and also dress up and I find these can come with me in all situations. Really comfortable and love the fabric and design. I have had one or two tear but other than that love them.

In love with these!!
March 10, 2011
I ordered these to take to the Boy Scout National Jamboree. 105 degree heat index every day for a week. Living in a tent and hiking 10 miles a day. I came home and bought more. Now I wear them almost every day. I ordered based on the size charts, I wear a L and the fit was great.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Cons: CostThe BEST!

This underwear is so comfortable, you forget you have them on. They are so fast drying I don't ever put them in the dryer. I wear them for casual and sports activities alike.

Awesome fit
March 06, 2013
These are the best panties ever. AAA+++++++. I will definitly purchase more in the future.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great valueVery Comfy
April 26, 2010
These are great for running in, very comfy and they wick sweat very well. I do prefer the solids to the stripes--the stripes are made of a different fabric that doesn't stay put quite as well.
Still a bit of a ride
June 28, 2011
These are really comfortable and mostly stay in place. The only downside is that these show lines and I was hoping for underwear that were a bit more invisible. Still, very comfortable and I keep wearing 'em.
Pros: Build quality, Performance, Cons: underwear lineslove these
March 14, 2011
started buying these a couple of years ago and have not looked back. super soft, fit well, never ride up, cute designs. have curvy hips and they stay where they should even while very active.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of usevery comfortable
April 20, 2013
These are great and very comfortable. I have purchased many and they hold up very well. They dry quickly for when you want to hand wash. The sizing seems right on. I wear a size Small and am 5'3' and weigh 115lbs- usually wear a size 2 or 4 pant. These are expensive but they do last a long time.
Uber Comfort
November 15, 2010
Thes are the most comfortable underwear I've ever worn. I bought the first pair for their wicking ability, primarily to wear for serious hiking, but started wearing them as often as they were clean because of their extreme comfort. Then I got pregnant, and they became the only underwear I wanted to wear. I have since purchased four more pairs. The lack of seams and soft stretchy fabric make them incomparable to standard panties. They might be pricey, but are so worth it.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of useGreat Fit
August 20, 2010
This brief provides a comfortable fit without creep. It is perfect for any active pursuit.
Fabulous
August 03, 2010
I am going to throw out all of my other underwear and only wear these!
best panties ever
January 16, 2012
They fit great, don't cause panty lines, breathable and tolerate years of washings. I have several pairs of active briefs.....they are now the only panties I buy
Pros: Great design, Lasts forever, Performance, comfortableAlready own the Patagonia Active Briefs? Tell us your thoughts.
Love my briefs
November 22, 2012
I've stopped bothering buying any other brand. I just treat myself to a couple new pair each year ... yes, they are that durable. I can't tell the difference between the old ones and the new ones in the drawer on my bod. Love them period.

Great brief's
March 21, 2011
These Patagonia brief's are the best fitting, most comfortable that I've ever owned. Love the material also. Recommended them to my sister and friends. I won't wear anything else.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Great valuebest undies
April 29, 2010
I love these active briefs. They are so comfy, fit well, wash nicely, dry fast and come in cute colors and prints. I've been wearing these for awhile and always buy the new colors when they come out.
Heavenly
August 16, 2010
while pricey, these briefs are worth every penny. Comfort, fit and to die for fabric. Happy girl.
best undies out there
January 30, 2013
I've been field testing these undies with other high-quality brands for over a year now, and these win hands down. They are by far the lightest (weight), most comfortable panties ever. They dry the fastest, too. These undies don't pinch or roll, and don't retain odor. Two pairs got me through three weeks on the Appalachian trail. They're also great for hot yoga. Did I mention they're really cute? These are the only panties I feel comfortable hanging from the back of my pack to dry while I walk. I usually buy myself a new pair or two every year, but I really can't tell between the new ones and the old ones when I'm wearing them. These panties last forever.

Nice fit
November 10, 2010
I really like these panties. They fit nicely & don't ride-up, they won't shrink upon washing. A little pricey for panties, but worth the extra money.
Pros: PerformanceActive briefs
July 31, 2010
Fit perfectly, so comfortable, feels like they are barely there.
Like these - I bought another
September 24, 2010
I bought them at first because I wanted wicking briefs and was interested in the color. The comfort is great and they fit just right. The wicking properties are also good. I bought another later. A bit pricey but I decided they are worth it.

Fantastic Briefs
April 08, 2010
These are the best briefs ever. I am extremely impressed at how they stay in place after several washings.
October 13, 2010
Dries very quickly, never rides up. It's perfect for active sports from running to hiking to snowboarding. I have 2 from 10 years ago, and they have yet to wear out.

Great underwear!
November 09, 2010
I needed underwear for working out that wouldn't ride up. The rise is perfect, and they really are moisture wicking. They are amazing! They are probably great for traveling as well!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of useYou are a Goddess
November 06, 2010
On the inside of this underwear reads,"You are a Goddess." The first time I noticed it was in the restroom at the Emergency Room after I got hit on my bicycle by a distracted motorist. It made my day! In addition to comforting me, this underwear did a nice job of wicking in the AM commute to work and withstanding some wear and tear from rubbing up on concrete. They're not quite as comfy as the Patagonias but they are cheaper. They are a bit narrower in the hips than the Patagonia as well. I'd recommend.
Pros: Great design, Ease of use, Great valueComfortable and true to size
January 21, 2013
Only had these underwear for a few weeks but they comfortable and fit true to size. She says they are well built, no seams, super soft fabric and therefore they feel like a second skin. Little pricey but so far top notch.
Pros: Build quality, Performance, Cons: CostDid you recently buy the Patagonia Active Briefs? Write a review.
felt great, however they fell apart after one washing
July 15, 2010
love these. they are very comfortable and do not ride up. The problem was after one wearing and one washing the inside began to fray. On the positive side, Altrec was great. I called and had no trouble with a return and refund. I will purchase another pair since I have never had this problem before. I assume this was a one time abnormality with the material.
Great Undies EXCEPT . . .
November 09, 2011
Make sure you buy the striped colors. The plain black and tan ones are cut differently and are made of slightly different materials that are less comfortable. I had the same problem a few years ago when I purchased these undies. The flowered versions fit great, the solid colors were just a bit off.

The most comfortable briefs ever made!
October 25, 2011
There are no better briefs than these! These briefs will conform to your body without binding and will move with you. Don't fret about the price... they will last you for many, many years... I know this from experience!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueA Must Buy!
May 19, 2011
These are now the only underwear that I buy. They last forever, wash and dry well and never ride up. I still have my original pair from at least 3 years ago and they still look like new. Would highly recommend.
Pros: Lasts forever, Performancethe best
December 05, 2011
These are by far the best underwear. Very comfortable and last a long time. I won't buy anything else. I would highly recommend them for people that travel and those that are active.
Pros: Great design, Lasts foreverOutstanding!
June 20, 2011
These briefs are terrific. They wear and wash like a dream. I used to run in cotton briefs, but never again now that I have these. I wish they were more readily available. While expensive, they are well worth the cost! Highly recommend!!

Previous reviewer wrong - these run true to size!!!
July 23, 2010
I read the review stating that these run big. I wish I had ignored this review. These run true to size. Now I have to pay for return shipping and wait another week to have briefs that fit. If you are considering these, buy your correct size. They do feel nice and soft however and I am looking forward to receiving the correct size to work out in.
Best Underwear Ever!
March 23, 2011
Yes, they are a little pricey, but they are worth every penny and more. No more sweaty, soggy panties, especially during the long, hot AZ summer. No more tugging and adjusting back into place whether I'm wearing workout clothes or dressed for the office. I originally bought 2 pair for running/hiking/kayaking but had to order more because I just can't stand to wear anything else. I'm 5'5" and about 135, normally wear an 8 in most pants, and the size medium fits perfectly.
Pros: Great design, Performance, stays in place, wickingNever leave home without them!
April 28, 2011
These are the most comfortable briefs I've ever worn. I wear them under work clothes, to the gym, and most importantly kayaking. They stay put, no riding up , dry fast, and have held up after many washings, no unraveling of legs or rolling of the waistband. A little more than average price for briefs but last longer so are worth it.
Pros: Build quality, PerformanceGreat underwear
May 09, 2011
These fit really great and are extremely comfortable. I recommend that they be marketed as unisex. Other guys will enjoy wearing them too. Once I tried the first pair, I was sold and now have 10 pairs or more. They are light to pack and will dry quickly, when you need to wash them by hand.
Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Cons: a little priceyNot just for sports
May 26, 2011
I have about 10 pairs of these. Originally bought them for backpacking, but now I wear them everyday. I'm retiring all my cotton undies, because these are so much more comfortable. They are seamless, and don't get clammy when you sweat. They also hold up well - I still have my 2 pairs from 10 years ago, and they are in excellent shape.
Always a favorite
May 07, 2011
I have worn these briefs for several years now and they wear exceptionally well. Excellent fit, very stretchy and soft, do not ride up, no lines/bulges under clothes. Always happy to see these go on sale!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueNever looking back!
May 12, 2010
For years I was a big fan of the Victoria's Secret cotton bikini. Then the style changed, and they started riding up. My search for the perfect undies began. It has ended with the Patagonia Active Brief. These are best undies out there. You won't regret the money spent on these.
comfortable but a bit big
April 23, 2010
Love the material and shape, but they run big. The small feels more like a medium or a large. I am considering getting the extra small. Although, the black ones I bought only a few weeks ago, also size small, fit much better. Can't see any reason why, the both are called Women's Active Briefs size small.
Love Patagonia underwear
February 08, 2012
These briefs are amazing. I was converted when I originally bought a pair for travel but these are the only underwear I get now. They don't dig into your skin and don't roll around the waist and quick drying. Lovelove love
Pros: Build quality, Performance, Cons: CostApril 11, 2011
Great fit. Don't ride up. Fabric is of a high quality. Seems to wick sweat while horseback riding. They seem to run a tad bit large. I will possibly order a size smaller next time.
Pros: Great design, Build qualityNot as Great as They Used to Be
February 14, 2013
Since Patagonia changed the style of their briefs, they just don't fit the same. Granted, they're still the best undies on the market, but I wish they would go back to the style and fit of a couple seasons ago. One of my favorite things about these briefs is the selection of fun colors. That said, it would be nice to have a light, nude color that would be truly invisible under, say, the Patagonia hemp pants.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of useComfie
July 30, 2010
I was unsure about purchasing these undies due to the price. But after wearing these ATVing they are the most excellent pair I've ever owned. No wedgies or wetness from sweat.
