Snug fit, durable, and stays dry
February 07, 2012

I have 2 new and 1 old Patagonia Active mesh bra. They do fit a little tight but stretch slightly after you have them. My older bra has stretched barely but enough so that it fits well. I tried on a medium and a small, and the medium was too big. The small is definitely a tighter fit but I was fairly certain it would stretch slightly so I bought the 2 new smalls. I love the wicking ability of these bras - they stay nearly dry no matter how much I sweat.

Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Cons: Cost, slightly too snug

Best sports bra ever!
March 02, 2012

I finally decided to splurge and invest in one of these sports bras after hearing so many good things about them. After wearing this on just one outing, I ended up buying another and throwing out all of my old sports bras that I thought used to think were of good quality! The best thing about these sports bras are that you don't even notice you're wearing them! They breathe so well and you never have to readjust them. I wear a 32 B/C in normal bras and I wear a small in these. I can't comment too much on the support, as I don't need a lot. But after wearing it all day it does tend to ride up and kinda rub on the underarms, though.

This bra combines comfort and support, plus it wicks well. I wear mine for hiking, skiing, and yoga. My daughter wears hers for distance running. Cute colors and designs make them versatile enough to go under low-cut tops. Will likely purchase more in the future.

Great but fits very small
January 10, 2012

This is a great sports bra. I love it for skiing. But it fits very small. I am a 34A and the "small" was way too tight around the ribs. The "medium" allowed me to breathe much better and was still quite supportive.

Great Support, Fun Look
August 02, 2012

I love these Patagonia Sports Bras. They are supportive, great looking, & fit well. I wear them as my everyday bra & for athletic fun. For everyday wear - they provide a nice feel and no lines under my clothes. For running & biking & other athletic endeavors - they provide the support I need. I will keep buying them. I like them.

Really like it
July 20, 2011

I first bought the size Medium, which is my usual size, but it was really tight. The Large fits much better so I'd suggest ordering a size larger. It's a very comfortable top and I'm tempted to buy another in a different color. It's designed well which allows for alot of freedom of movement and it looks like it's durable and will last long.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance

BRA-TASTIC
June 23, 2009

This bra has wonderful light to moderate support and nice colors to complement your mood in the moment. Modest enough to wear by itself to yoga. I wear them daily. Very comfortable. I'm a small petite person, 32C, but found that the S rather than XS was a bit more comfortable. I'm not sure how these bras wear, but I'll be buying a couple more to satisfy my artistic whims.

A good all around bra
September 19, 2010

It does what it's supposed to, keeps things in place! I recently had to stop wearing any underwire bras as they were actually damaging my breasts, so I've been trying and buying all the Patagonia bras I can find on here. The cute colors and styles sold out fast in my size (M) but the plain white is versatile and looks like a cami peeping out from under a blouse without the weight and length. Sides are high cut--it takes a bit of getting used to, but it's not irritating. I wouldn't recommend white as a sports top on it's own--show through! All in all, another quality Patagonia product.

Love the Comfort and Medium Support
March 26, 2009

This is a great bra. Comfortable and supportive without the smashing feeling other athletic bras can give. I was apprehensive at purchasing a bra on line, but after reading all the great reviews, I decided to take a chance. Im a 38C petite and I was fearful the bra was only for smaller sized or taller female. It took me 10 minutes to get use to the fit; I liked the bra so much, I purchased two more! I recommend this bra for medium to low impact activities, although I also use it as an everyday bra. (Personally, I need a more supportive bra for running.) By-the-way, its very cute on and modest enough to wear without a shirt at the gym!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE MESH BRA!!!!
October 08, 2008

I started buying these just recently because I hated feeling constricted (squished)wearing sports bras that are not meant for DD breasts. I wear these everywhere from the gym to everyday activities. They have great coverage!

Like the 24/7 Active Bra much better
May 20, 2010

This is fine as a sports bra, but it's not special. The double thickness means that it's like most other sports bras, and it doesn't do a lot for my shape. The Patagonia 24/7 Active Bra A/B was much better--lightweight and comfy, while SHAPING. It dried quickly too, while this one takes about the time any other sports bra would take to dry. Glad I didn't order a whole bunch.

Best Purchase Ever
October 08, 2010

This is the most comfortable, supportive and attractive sports bra I've ever purchased. I don't want to take it off. It doesn't bind; it's easy to put on and take off without dislocating a shoulder. I purchased one and wore it and then tried to purchase more in other colors, but none were available in my size. I'll have to wait until Spring.

Very comfortable
July 05, 2012

This is so comfortable and supportive, I realized that my other sports bras weren't sufficient and had to buy another of these. I wear it hiking, camping, kayaking, running, etc. I like that the fabric is pretty water wicking for really sweaty days. I'm about a 34b. It probably wouldn't be good for a really busty lady.

Previous reviewers had mentioned that the newer bra was tighter, but I did not find that to be the case. I have a version from about 2 years ago that fits exactly the same as the newest version. For me, the difference is the feel. The new one is a little stiffer and a little harder to get on, while the old one is much softer and stretchier. Once they are on, they feel exactly the same and I can wear them comfortably all day. By the way I am a size 34B and the Small fits perfectly. I wear them for running and they are adequately supportive.

Pros: Performance, comfort

Great

Comfortable, great for high intensity too!

A Sweet Comfort
April 23, 2010

Loved the mesh bra. Fits perfect and sweet comfort without the feel of restriction of a bra with underwire.

pretty but not for me
August 07, 2009

This is a very pretty, soft bra, but (size small) it's too big around (I'm 32 around) and too small in front (I'm a D or DD)and without adjustable straps I can't make it work. As much as I wanted it to work for yoga, it just isn't for me.

Patagonia Sports Bra Rocks
November 30, 2010

I have been purchasing the Patagonia Sports Bra for years. They are the best in both comfort & support. The quality is high and they wear well. I use the Patagonia Sports Bra for skiing, running, hiking, biking, and even in daily use on occassion. I can't imagine choosing or wearing another brand or style for me.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use

Comfortable Support for Medium/Low Impact Activities
February 15, 2009

I love the look of this bra and it is super comfortable, but even in an extra small (I'm a 32A) it doesn't really offer enough support for running. Great for biking, strength training, and other lower impact forms of cardio though!

Great Bra
September 22, 2010

I ordered a medium, I am 5'7, 130 lbs, B cup, and it fits great. I like that it doubles as a cami peeking out of a low cut blouse on a hot day when a full cami would be too restricting. White would not be a good choice to wear alone as a sports top since there is some show-thru. A good all a round bra!

support and comfort
October 13, 2010

When I first tried on the bra, it felt really tight. However, it offered excellent support during running, and was very comfortable. This year (2010)'s model is better fitting than previous years, with longer shoulder straps, it no longer cuts into the shoulder blades. Highly recommended for all highly active sports.

Forgot I was wearing it
February 17, 2010

I bought these bras for tropical hiking and have ended up wearing them for yoga as well. It's great peace of mind to be upside down and know that everything is staying in its place! Comfortable, lightweight, very breathable. Most days I forget I'm even wearing it. I would recommend this to any woman looking for a hot-weather, low impact bra. I bought small (I'm a 34C), was concerned at first that they might be too snug, but no worries. They're perfect.

Yoga Bra
April 12, 2013

Using bra for mainly yoga. Comfy and moves well. No irritation or rubbing just nice soft fabric.

Pros: Ease of use, Great value

Great supportive bra, but material a bit rough
March 08, 2010

Not as soft, seamless bra as I was hoping for. A small breasted woman, I was looking less for support and more for soft material. The Patagonia underwear were so comfortable, I decided to try the bra (was on sale). This material is not soft, but wicks sweat very quickly. It seems to me this bra would be very supportive for larger breasts.

lightweight and comfortable
August 12, 2010

i had never worn Patagonia bras prior to this purchase, and will not buy another brand ever again!! Wore this bra on a backpacking trip through the Tetons; it was extremely comfortable. Did not hold odor at all...important when showers are non-existent!! I am 5'3", 105 pounds, and wear a 36B-C in a regular bra. Purchased a medium in this bra, and it fit perfectly. Bit snug at first, but as other reviewers have noted, the bra quickly "molded" to my shape. Worth the price!!

Great item
August 28, 2008

There is no question that Patagonia is great. I was also very impressed with the price, I purchased the same item at a local store for a lot more (I also returned it the day after placing my order). Thanks for offering great products at good prices.

Excellent Bra - Even Better Than I Anticipated
September 26, 2008

Patagonia always make excellent products and they are priced accordingly. So, it is wonderful to be able to buy almost any Patagonia product at a marked down price. The active mesh bra fits well, wicks very well, appearance is great, very well made. Outstanding product; highly recommend it!

Pretty design, but small fit

Great Versatility
December 26, 2009

The size "Small" is a great fit for my size I am a small 34A. So comfortable one can sleep in it. Attractive style along with the matching panties. In hot weather I can wear this as a top after reaching the campsite and taking off my backpack and T-shirt to cool down after a long hike. Very nice product.

My favorite sports bra
September 29, 2010

This patagonia sports bra is my favorite. As a runner, I've tried a bunch of different options however these are always the ones I reach for as soon as they are clean. As a 32C, size 0/2, the small fits me perfectly and provides very adequate support for running (and I like good support!). The extra small is too tight.

surprise. good for big busted
May 08, 2010

I mostly wanted a comfortable bra for everyday wear and a walk or two :) This is great- full coverage- and just snug enough. I wear a 40- 42 C XL fits perfectly! somebody else wrote it is high up under the armpits- that is true and that is both good and bad, does kinda rub there but nice coverage too.

Perfect
May 12, 2010

The package came quickly and I love these bras. I was a bit skeptical thinking they would be good for only low impact stuff, but I played an hour and a half of serious tennis in the San Diego sun in it, and could not have been more comfortable.

great everyday bra
June 25, 2009

I wanted a comfortable bra for wearing around daily, not for exercise. As I wear a 34DD, it's hard to find sports bras that fit well. This one does okay. I ordered the large and it fits, but without enough support to exercise in--which I did not expect so I was not disappointed. If you wear a D cup or larger and want an exercise bra, however, this would probably not be it.

I don't get it...
July 02, 2011

The Patagonia Active Mesh Bra has been my go-to hiking bra for years - just enough support (36C) in a Medium for low impact, super wicking, super comfy, adn not too smushy... then this year... what happened?!?!? I ordered 2 new ones to replace some worn-out ones from years ago (oh yeah, they held up, too!) and I could barely get my arms in, let alone my shoulders or chest!!! I don't know why Patagonia changed the fabric and style of this bra, but I think I would need an XL now, and that's ridiculous! 5 stars for the old model/1 star for the new!!!

March 16, 2012

I chose the Active Mesh Bra by Patagonia. Put it on right away to see if it was the most comfortable. I wore it half of the day. I kept telling myself... yes, it is still comfortable. I like this. It is very supporting and a bit snug but a comment told me that it stretches over wear and still fits good. I've been stretching it on my chair. What can I say? I bicycle, kayak, run, walk and chase after my 3 1/2 year old grand son and granddaughter..

Just another shelf bra
December 22, 2010

I bought the bra because I hoped I could wear it under a dress that is cut a bit low to take the place of the black camisole I would normally wear - and have it serve as my bra as well. It is good quality material and I can't complain about the product for that reason. In the end though, it is a shelf bra and if you really need a bra (D cup), it does not do the job. I honestly can't imagine how this would suffice as a sports bra. If I were to try to use it again as a tank top, I would need to wear a bra underneath it.

May 13, 2010

Was skeptical about this bra due to being a size 34D. Most sports bra that aren't fitted to cup sizes just don't work for me. best for low-impact outdoor activities
August 21, 2013

I recently wore these for an expedition up Kilimanjaro, and in the past I have worn them during trips all over Peru, Bhutan, Indian Himalayas and mountains up and down the continental US. They make you forget you are wearing something next to your skin. They won't provide an enormous amount of support for activities like running and jumping like for basketball, but for hiking, climbing and traveling in rough conditions - sometimes for days on end - these are pretty hard to beat. As close to seamless comfort as possible, the straps stay out of trouble. They also rinse under sinks and dry pretty quickly. I put them through their paces and then some, but the first pair I bought in 2007 still works, the elastic does seem to be getting a tiny bit loose though. I hope that Patagonia gives me a heads up if they decide to discontinue, overhaul or otherwise "improve" this staple piece, so i can stock up about 25 for the rest of my active life! I am 5'5", 110lbs and the S fits perfectly without being too constricting or too loose.

These bras are great. I just bought 2 new ones to replace 2 I've been wearing for 3 years or more. They are very comfortable. Great for hiking, bicycling and everyday active comfort wear. Very versatile. I did however modify the bra. I found that it would ride up a bit. I cut a small hole in the band in the back and fitted an inch elastic band and hand stitched it back up.It worked great and is still working in the older bras. I love the Patagonia quality. I have other Patagonia items that are well worth the money.

It is tight when you first put it on, but loosens up. The material is really nice. The back band is wider than I would like for everyday use, but this will make a great hiking and swimming bra! I bought a Large and I'm a C 36. It fits perfectly. I would not run in this bra but I really like tight bras for running because of my size. So, I have several of these from different seasons. They all seem to fit & feel a little different. I have a newer one that is really soft and comfortable but not very supportive and I have a few older ones that are not soft, tighter, and more supportive. Not my favorite but I always love the cute patterns and will probably continue to buy this style and they are not too costly. I am a 34C and I have the medium. Mine have also started to fray and come apart around some of the seems but I have definitely used them a lot.

I haven't purchased one of these for 3-4 years and patagonia has changed them a bit- there is more coverage, the back and front come up a bit higher. The straps are really comfortable and don't dig.

Love it!

This is my favorite sports bra. I have several in different colors. It's soft, comfortable, and wicks well. I wear it for hiking, backpacking, and to the gym. It gives good support without feeling squished. I love it!!

I really liked the look, feel, and quality of this bra. However I did not like how long it was vertically from the top of my chest to my abdomen. If you are looking for a bra that has a lot of coverage, then this would definitely be a good one. Yet, I personally prefer bras that are not as big.

Loved the one I bought last year...
September 18, 2011

not so much the one I just bought. I bought last year's bra in a size large and the fit is great. There's lots of support, lots of freedom of movement, and it's so very cute! However, the bra I just purchased in a size large is TOO tight! I can't breathe. So I returned it and tried an x-large, and it was TOO big! No support. And so I am sadly returning it.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Cons: sizing too tight

THE goto bra!

This is my GOTO hiking, biking, kayaking, etc bra, as well as the only bra I turn to on hot and humid summer days! THE BEST!

Great Sports Bra

Love the design of the bra, although I normally wear a small and these fit tight so I'm more comfortable in a Medium. The colors and pattern on the bra are cute too! More importantly, this bra holds you in good and sturdy.

Love this sports bra

I have been searching for a new brand of sports bra for some time now, but being an avid runner, I am quite picky. I wanted something that would be supportive enough for running, comfortable enough for a day of hiking and nice enough looking to be worn to yoga without having to put something on over it. This bra is a perfect find. It meets all of my requirements. I would highly recommend (and already have) this bra to walkers, runners, hikers or yoga enthusiasts. Great bra at a great price.

Very comfortable

Great for wearing around or low impact activities. Very comfortable and great looking

Very comfortable-best sports bra for small cups
June 13, 2010

I'm 5'6", currently a plump 156lbs and wear a 35A bra. I purchased in medium and it fits perfectly. Even looks good too and doesn't accentuate the rolls. The bra is so comfortable I forget I'm wearing it. I originally purchased to wear when doing the P90x Plyometrics (jump training). I now own 6 of these since it has become the only bra I wear on the weekend whether I'm exercising or not. Thanks to all the reviewers for helping me decide!

fits very small
January 18, 2012

I am a great fan of Patagonia underwear (panties etc) and I was excited to get the fitting bra. However, as other reviewers have mentioned, it fits very small. I am a 75B and small was waaay to small. I had to send it back. Compared to other sports bras, this is a simple model which has its pros and cons. It is defintely not the most flattering model. I bought one from Lululemon and a more simple one from EMS (brand) as I was not convinced of this bra. Sorry for this rather unspecific review, but the performance is hard to tell since it didn't fit. My advice: get a size bigger!

great yoga bra
May 10, 2011

I use this bra primarily for yoga and have been really happy with it. It provides enough support (for A, B sizes) without being uncomfortably tight. I plan to also wear it for hiking and other sports. Overall great product and looks better than most sports bras. Since I got it fairly recently I cannot really comment on durability but it seems really well made.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use

Awesome!

I got this in Greta Floral Aquarium (the new 2010 spring color/design) and it is very pretty. I am 5'2", 120 lbs., athletic build, 34B and found that the size small was perfect for me for running. It is a little tight when first putting it on, but not uncomfortable at all. It must stretch out because I do not notice it while wearing it. I wanted to go with a small because I planned on wearing this mainly for running and wanted the extra support to keep things snug. Now if you plan on using this for cycling, hiking or low-impact sports - you may want to go up a size for even more comfort.

excellent sport bra

I got my bra in black. I believe it runs small, since I'm usually 34A and size M fits me just fine. It is comfortable enough to wear all day long. Fabric is nice and not itchy. Great support. I love this sport bra!
