Patagonia better sweater
April 10, 2012
I liked the better sweater and thought the lagoon blue was a beautiful color. However, the sweater is somewhat bulky and there's a zipper pocket on the sleeve, so it isn't really designed for layering. I was looking for something that I could use as a thinner layer under my Patagonia nanopuff jackets, so I returned the better sweater and got an R1 instead. If you are looking for a single layer to wear in warmer weather, though, this would be a good choice.
So warm and soft!
March 19, 2013
This full zip up sweatshirt by Patagonia is the softest and warmest zip up sweatshirt I have ever owned! I would recomend this to all my freinds here in the cold rainy northwest.Pros: Build quality, Ease of use, Cons: none

Perfect go-to jacket for cool summer nights, fall season or around the house in winter. Offers warmth and comfort with out being bulky and cumbersome so its nice for layering. Well made and fits true to size.Pros: Great design, Cons: Cost

Every time I see one of these Better Sweaters on someone I do a double-take..and then realize.."oh, it's THAT again". They look wonderful, perform even better, and are attractive as well as practical. The colors are great, and fit a hit!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

This is a great jacket..great quality and really well-made. Because of the slim fit, I seemed to be in between sizes, so I sized up to a large, from my normal medium, and it is a bit big, but I'd rather have that than have it be too tight. The Butterfly blue is very pretty. I do love this jacket!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Ease of use, Cons: sizing a bit odd

I purchased this as a fall jacket for VA. It is comfy and warm, and I always get compliments on it. It doesn't look quite like anything else, and people can't figure out if it is a sweater or a fleece...and they always ask. The only thing I did not take into account is that it offers no wind protection. But everything else outweighs that. It even has zippered pockets (which I love because I always seem to put my keys in one and my phone in the other). It would be fine for layering under something else if you need wind protection too. On its own it makes a great, stylish fleece. I got the purple color and i love it, as it is not too bright. A friend of mine has the blue color, and that is also beautiful. I would definitely recommend this as a medium-weight jacket or all-around fleece. Fits true to size (not a slim cut).Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use

Just as expected. Nice shaping. I am 5'3", 190# and the XL fits me just a tag snug and hits me at low hip but still looks good.Pros: Great design, Build quality

my wife loves it, particularly the color which is tomato. good fit and so comfortable that gives you warm in 40's or even during 30's. but a bit pricy.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use

I have three of these ,all different color of course.very warm, comfortable, and it has a nice fit.the length is perfect.I'm 5 foot 6 about 150 and a medium is just right.great for every day casual wear.I wear it to walk the dog when it's in the high 50's low 60's.it's not totally wind proof but not too bad either.a bit pricy but worth it cause it's so comfy.unless you like really bright colors the black or grey never seems to go on sale.Patagonia has the weirdest selection of colors.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Cons: Cost
November 28, 2010
This is the second better sweater I have purchased. Love the new blue butterfly color. The fit is the same as my first one. I have washed my first one several times and it looks like new. The hoody is a little larger and loose than I expected but not bad. It fits true to size for Patagonia products. Quality is great and I know it will wear well for many years to come. Everyone in my family has either the pullover or full zip. We ALL love them.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever
November 05, 2011
I love this piece by patagonia- great for layering and travel. It's much warmer than fleece and fits closer to the body- giving it a more flattering fit. I'm a 5'3 and 115 and wear an XS.Pros: Great design, Lasts forever, Ease of use

I'd been eyeing this for months and finally decided to buy it when it went on sale... SO glad I did. Will be my go to jacket for years to come. Only had it a week so I haven't got to try it hiking, but temps have dropped fast this time of year and its kept me warm through all my other outdoor adventures.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Cons: Cost
Awesome but call out SLIM fit better
November 26, 2012
I love this product. I have another (though that one is hoodless and not slim fit) and I wear it as a sweater (not a coat/jacket) and it keeps me very, very warm. It is a perfect weight (not too thick but definitely not thin) and so soft inside. I love it! I purchased this one because it was on sale and I love the color (the blue is very rich and vibrant!) and I love hoodies. The only thing I was unhappy about is that I didn't know I was ordering the SLIM cut. In the end, it didn't really matter too much. I still wear it as a sweater (and the fit is nice - not too slim) except I can only wear a thin shirt or cami underneath (not a turtleneck or something like that). It still keeps me super warm; I just would have liked to know what I was getting. I think it should have been called out better -- if it was called out at all.Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance
Women's Better Sweater Hoody
January 27, 2013
It was a gift for my GF and she loves it. Sizing runs towards the smaller size but it super comfy. Some how she always seems to have it on,Pros: Great design, Performance

My daughter wanted a new sweater. This one caught her eye. The cut and color are nice, and softly feminine without being cloying. It is soft and cuddly. A winner all the way around. Patagonia, listen up. This design is a keeper.Pros: Great design, Build quality

Very warm and comfortable. This product is very feminine and nice for everyday use around town.Pros: Ease of use
you should buy this for your mom
October 10, 2012
This is a great hoodie! I bought it for my mom and she loves it now that the weather is turning chilly. The weaving on this fleece makes it look a bit "dressier" than others. It's very warm and washes nicely. She likes it and that means I like it!Pros: Build quality
March 21, 2013
Great jacket! Best looking fit in a fleece of most of the popular brands out there. I ordered this Better Sweater without the hood first and returned it for the hoody because the collar was entirely too stiff. The hoody is perfect. The color is a good shade of red, not to bright. Im 5'7" and 132 lbs. the medium fit perfect.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use
Love this sweater jacket
November 30, 2010
I have worn this sweater jacket nearly everyday since purchasing it a couple of weeks ago. It is great alone, also under a down vest. I am 5 ft 5 inches, 145 lbs and got the large which is big enough to wear a long sleeve tee shirt underneath.. The medium would have worked also with just a tank top (more fitted). Love the soft warm fabric and the hood. Buying another one for my son.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, fabric comfort
Great product, but runs on the small side
July 30, 2012
This is a beautiful hoodie--very cozy and great quality. Unfortunately it was a bit tight. I am a size large in almost every brand of every top, but I must need a size extra large with Patagonia. This would be a perfect hoodie for a chilly fall or spring day. It is a bit thicker, but not too bulky.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, very cozy, Cons: runs small
