There's much to see 14,000 feet up at the Chasm View bivy: a vertigo-inducing panorama of the Diamond and alpenglow over the Rockies. There's also chilly air in any season, and that's where the Patagonia Down Sweater for Women comes in. It delivers minimal weight, superb compressibility and high-loft warmth. The ripstop shell (1.4-oz 22-denier) with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish does more than look sharp: This mid-layer insulator is tear-resistant and windproof and made from 100% all-recycled polyester. Details include top-quality 800-fill-power goose down, an updated fit and styling, quilted-through construction, two exterior zippered pockets and a stretch-mesh interior chest pocket that doubles as a zippered stuff sack with carabiner clip-in loop. The Women's Down Sweater is an ultralight jacket with highly compressible down insulation and a windproof shell for cold mountain pursuits.

Tried other big name brands of down sweaters on....none of them fit or looked as great at this one. 5'3, 135- size M was perfect. Zippers are great, arm movement is great, it's cute, toasty & comfortable. Sure to get mega-use out of it.

I am excited about my new down sweater. I had been looking at the down sweaters for over a year and finally bought one! I know it will be used a lot this winter as it is the perfect weight and the fit is good.

I just bought my second down sweater. In New England, it's great for fall outings, and keeping one (and now two) handy at home means I can set my thermostat at 60 and feel perfectly comfortable (as long as my socks are warm, too). The light weight makes it easy to wear and, if I haven't checked the weather thoroughly, I can pull the long sleeves over my hands to keep warm. I'll buy more.

This is the most versatile down jacket I've ever owned that keeps you warm (with proper layering depending on outside temperature) , looks great, cozy fit, not bulky, feminine appearance, et cetera.... If you need a down jacket, this is the one!!!

i finaly bought one and was very happy with my purchase.its warm yet so thin and packable.its also a good looking jacket.it runs one size larger.i had to return it to get a smaller size.the sleeves are long but comes in handy when im not wearing gloves.

Very cozy. Go everywhere. Great weight for California--very warm but not bulky. The windproof external shell is light but not too delicate; however, for everyday use, a slightly heavier material might give more peace of mind. So far, the shell also seems quite downproof. If you want warmth without the bulk, then buy this jacket. I got two - for my husband and myself - to wear while hiking the Andes in Peru, and we had everyone, including our trek guide, drooling over these jackets. One of the Peruvian guides kept on hinting that he wanted my husband's jacket - no way were we giving these babies up. They were our favorite purchase for the trip! Compresses down into a tiny little ball. Fits very true to size, even with layering. I normally wear XS, and the S was way, way too big on me.

I do enjoy this jacket very much. It is incredible lightweight, but very warm. It is also very thin, so it looks great as well. I wear it under a gore-tex jacket as ski jacket, and that is also comfortable and warm! For me the sizing is just right.

This jacket is amazing - very lightweight and comfortable, yet quite warm. It is extremely easy to move around in and slips on and off nicely. It does run a little large in sizing - I usually wear a small but wore an xsmall in this jacket and the sleeve length was still just right.

For being so light, this jacket is really warm, just like it is described. I also love the zip up neck and feminine fit. The zippers feel cheap and seem to get stuck in the fabric a lot. Hopefully they'll hold up better than they feel.
