Still the best!
I have 3 women's Patagonia Duway Skirts (aka "skorts") that are now 5 years old, and 2 brand new ones I've worn several times each and already washed and worn again. They all look just about the same, even the 3 with MANY year's wear. This product is AWESOME! I wish I had more color choices, as the red one is no longer available, and the light grey one (called "Dove" in the past) is also discontinued. Otherwise, I could not be a happier customer. The world's best travel skirt, in my opinion. Always looks fresh and feminine, while still being great for hiking, casual dining or even entering a church!?

liked the older model better
The newer model has a slanted zipper pocket which creates a slight bulge on the right hip where all the seams meet along with the side slit zipper. The waist is slightly tighter and the hips are a little wider. The older model had a horizontal pocket zipper on the front right waist. Material is awesome and the colors are great. Bring back the older model plz..... :)

great skirt
Great skirt, great fit. Knee length, which is a bit longer than I usually like, but other than that, I have no complaints. Very comfortable and great colors. True to size. I liked the first one so much that I bought the other colors.

BEST skirt EVER!
I love my skirt! I teach small children, so I do a lot of squatting and jumping around. This skirt is so comfortable and allows all my sudden movements without splitting. The shorts underneath are also important when sitting on the floor criss-crossed.
I love the water repellent finish! It's easy to keep clean and still looks great after many days of kindergarten fun!
This skirt is a perfect fit for shorter girls- I'm 5'3" and I don't feel squatty in it! It's long enough to wear to work...
What more can I say? It's PERFECT! I'm ordering one in every color!

added to my collection of duway skirts
i now have 4 patagonia duway skirts. i love this skirt for my office, just the right length (not too short). i really like the side zips at the hem line and the fabric is soft and silky without being fingernail catching polyester. this color (currant) is crisp and regal lookingl. the built in shorts are perfect too as my desk doesn't have a front facade so no peek-a-boo issue with this skirt. the size is just right for me (size 10, 140 lbs). i hope they continue this skirt in some nice new colors. if patagonia reads this, i think a nice rich-red or warm chocolate brown would be a nice addition to my collection. please just don't make it any shorter !

Great skort!
I travel to Colorado every summer and this will be perfect for hiking and looking great for lunch. It fits true to size - long enough for me and short enough to look great. Love Patagonia clothes!

comfortable skirt
I have older versions of this skirt, which ran true to size. The new version runs a size larger. I am 5'4" and 126 lbs and the size 4 fits comfortably.

Great skort if you get the right version
I bought this in both Earthenware and Storm. I bought the Earthenware by accident, having intended to get the Black, but I actually like the colour of it a lot, more so in real life than I did on my computer screen. The fit of the skirt is great, it looks dressy enough for me to wear to work or around town, while the fabric feels like it would hold up to all sorts of outdoor pursuits. I have a feeling this will become one of my favourites. The fabric is really nice and soft, with good stretch, and the inbuilt shorts are low profile and fitting so that they don’t bulk up the skirt at all.
The Storm colour on the other hand seems to be made of a completely different fabric – a newer/older model? It is much stiffer and has a real sheen to it that I don’t like at all, plus it feels like it will wrinkle much worse. Unfortunately I will return this one. If you can get the right version or right fabric then this is a fantastic skort.

I love my duway skort
This skort is the most versatile piece of clothing I own. I wear it everywhere, for play, dress, casual. It looks smart and I receive compliments on it every time I wear it.

Very comfortable skort that looks like a cute skirt
I purchased two of these skorts to wear to music festivals such as Jazzfest in New Orleans. They work well in the heat and humidity and dry quickly when they get wet. The side zippers allow freedom of movement but the built-in short prevents 'oops' moments from happening. They also pack well because they don't wrinkle much and most of those wrinkles drop out after being hung on a pants hanger for a short while.

Awesome skort
Love this skort. Have every color. The best for piece of clothing for traveling-can really dress up for a night out or dress down for hiking or biking. Packs compact (I always wear these for the plane trip so I don't have to worry about awkward positions), shake out minimal wrinkles (I always travel with Cling Free anyway) and easy to wash-dries quick. I wear these all the time-they are my uniform for life. Even in New England winter I wear with tights, boots and sweater, and then of course through the summer.

Great Skirt!
Great skirt. Easy to wear and very functional for just about any occasion. Extremely comfortable and classy. I liked them so much that I bought three of them in different colors.

Super Cute and Functional!!
Ok so i wouldn't attempt to ride a bike in a regular skirt, but this one can easily cross over from being appropriate for a date to a situation requiring a little more modesty. Fits true to size and is of decent length - so as not to reveal too much. I would definitely purchase another.

Great skirt!
This is the first Patagonia skirt I've bought and it's great. I like the fabric and length. I bought it in black which makes it quite versatile. Very comfortable.

Extremely confortable and attractive!
My wife bought this skirt when we were vacationing in Maine this year. She absolutely loves it! The fabric is extremely comfortable and it makes a very attractive outfit. After purchasing it in the store and seeing her reaction, I ordered another one, a different color for her for Christmas. I know she will love it!

Perfect Cycling Skirt
LOVE this skirt! Never wrinkles, always comfy, and the length is perfect for cycling and spontaneous jaunts to the trails and/or beach. Material is durable and pretty at the same time. Cute and flirty, or simple and plain, depending on how you dress it.

Dependable Patagonia
I've already owned 3 of these babies, and am constantly on the look out to increase my inventory. The fit is true but easy, the fabric has a nice drape and the length is perfect. This time I ordered the color "Carbon" which is a very dark neutral green. I only regret that I can't find the the "stone" color that was available several years back to replace the one I ruined.

great golf skort!!!
love, love this skirt. comfortable, easy-care. would like more than the one zip pocket for tees, balls, markers, etc. sizing is a little small, but i guess it depends if is a new color( bigger waist size on new colors). but it is my go to skirt with built in shorts! i play better in this skirt !

Fabulous!
Love this skort. It looks like great fitting skirt...wouldn't know the shorts are underneath, but they're there so you can break into a run or a headstand or jump on a bike or do your stretches with no worries. I have it in black and am planning to get additional colors.

Dont hesitate to buy- it doesnt get better than this skirt
This item is incomparable to anything else. Perfect style and fit, very flattering cut. It has athletic abilities and can be worn for any occasion. Travels so well I need only 3 pairs and nothing else. It's true love- so Patagonia please dont change a thing!

Love this item!
I bought one in black and love it so much, I now also have it in red and khaki. It looks like a skirt, has all the advantages of shorts, plus the zippers on the sides at the hem provide a bit of additional freedom. Very comfortable and looks nice too.

This is a great skirt.The fabric is really soft.It washes and wears extremely well.I have another one that was bought four years ago.It still looks new.This skirt does not fit at the hip for me but is true to size .

The black short was in perfect condition, just what I ordered and arrived promptly (just a few days after I placed the order). I already have one in Beach Wood and find them great for golf as well as wearing around town.I couldn't be happier with the purchase!

Just what I wanted
This is my fourth one. Size 6 just a little roomy in waist but hips and length perfect. My only problem is finding enough perfect tops to go with them!!! Great fabric and quality construction. I'll buy another if dark blue and another if British khaki.

Almost Perfect!
I have to say that when I first put this skirt on I didn't like it due to the snug waist that hits right at the belly button. My husband just loved it, so I thought I would give it a chance. I wear a 6 and usually like it a bit lower and looser on the belly. If they had made it just a tad bit looser at the waist, I would be in heaven. The shorts also don't feel all that great in the crouch area until they have had a chance to stretch out a little. The skirt does look good and I fear a size 8 would look too big. I wish this skirt was about $15 less. Then, I would get another!

Awesome skirt!
I absolutely LOVE this little skirt. I'm 53 and a size 14, so I am very careful not to wear anything too short, but this is a perfect length. I bought the Fog first, then immediately ordered two additional colors. You will wear this skirt all the time!

Wouldn't be without this skort...
I've rated this a 4 in the past because I felt that the crotch of the shorts was a little uncomfortable in my size 8. I've amended the rating to a 5 as it now fits perfectly and I can actually also wear a 6 because I've lost weight. I like this so much that I purchased it in every color and gave one to a friend as a gift. It's very sleek and the no one would know there are shorts beneath the skirt. Everything about it is great: the length, the small pocket, the zippers on the sides...I'd like to see additional colors such as a deep brown, navy, rust, eggplant.

Great universal skirt
The Duway fits true to size, and the color (I ordered blackberry) is exactly as depicted on the site; so I do not agree with past reviews. You can see for yourself, though! I would never be able to tell that the shorts-cut lining was there by looking at the skirt. Outer material is luxuriously soft, moisture-wicking, and- best of all- stain-resistant!

good skirt, poor color
ordered size 12 in blackberry. fits perfectly, but dissappointed in the color, not very purple at all looks faded, love the feel and cut of the skirt though.

great skort!
I love this skort... it's long enough to wear as a skirt and the shorts are completely hidden. Fabric is uncrushable and soft. I liked it so well I have 3 different colors now.

Great skort.
The fabric is very comfortable. I usually wear a size 6, but I found this to be just a bit snug...ended up returning it for a size 8, which fit perfectly and at a slightly lower rise, which I prefer.

Nicer than your average skort
This skirt acts like a skort but doesn't look like one except when you unzip the side zippers for ease of movement. Fits true to size and is flattering. However, I thought the Beach Wood color was going to be a little bolder, a bit more yellow. Seems more like a light khaki.

This Skirt is perfect! A perfect travel skirt and you never have to worry about your underwear showing... I have had a blue Patagonia skirt and have used it a lot the last 5 years and it is still as good as new. I have now ordered 2 more (one grey and one black)

Duway Patagonia skort one of the most versatile wardrobe items
The Duway Patagonia skort has to be more of the most versatile wardrobe items a women can take on a trip. I just wish I had had it in time for my recent Patagonia, South America trip this past November 2006. In between bagging peaks, wespent lots of in-between time in remote towns at the tip of South America (their late Spring/early Summer). The skort would have been both demure enough (women don't wear shorts in South America), yet allowing for those awkward climbing moments in and out of transportion. That's why I own two (both Black and Fog). Don't leave home without them!

An excellent skirt for work and for play.
I now own six patagonia Duway Skirts. I use them for work and find them comfortable. I would like to buy another red skirt but have not seen a red skirt for sale anywhere on the internet. I highly recommend this skirt for it's comfort and for durability. I also love the material that this skirt is made of.

Duway skort more upscale than most
I have this in black and will buy it in aubergine if it becomes available in my size. I have a number of skorts, but this one is the most dressy looking. I teach and wear it to work when it's warm. The fabric is very attractive. The reason that I rated it a 4 is because the shorts are a bit uncomfortable in the crotch area. The fabric is quite unforgiving. I wouldn't consider running, etc in them...the shorts feel like they'd split. I will admit that the 8 is a little snug, but the 10 is definately large. I have 3 of the Outdoor Research Element Skort from 3 years ago and adore them. The shorts are made of stretch material and are a dream compared to the Duway shorts. OR has since slightly changed the pattern and I don't like the design as much. But back to the Duway....love the small zipper on the hip of the skirt. It's perfect for a key or $. The zippers on the bottom sides of the skirt are different and just ever so slightly change the look from sleek to more casual. A great alternative to shorts.

Great for work and travel
This skirt stays great looking even after a long day at work. It washes well and fits great. It's perfect on trips because it packs small, and I can even ride my bike wearing it. Very comfortable. I have it in stone, black, and olive. I hope Patgonia will come out with even more colors.

Comfort and Style can come in the same package
I am a bit of a granola girl, which clashes with my need to dress professionally. I love this skirt because it bridges play and work perfectly. Paired with Chacos, I can go on a hike or work in the garden. Paired with sandals, I'm ready for work. Oh, and the fabric is super soft. It is a little short for my taste (slightly above the knees), and the second skirt I bought was a bit smaller than the first (same size), so be careful of that.

Great look but too high at waist
This skirt looks great, and is terrific for summer day wear. I only wish the waist line had been cut a little lower. It sits way above the belly button.

Carefree with style
I love this skirt. It's my second one - one is not enough. I can ride my bike on it (zips up the sides of skort) and I can dress it up (it's really flattering enough to call elegant - -really!)or dress it down almost to tomgirl style with trendy flip flops. Very comfortable! I am a petite but the length works for me anyway. I've tried to get a similar skirt at a cheaper price but it sits in the closet...and I had to come here to get another one with free shipping to boot!

This is a great about-town skort - casual enough to pair with tennis shoes, or slip on a pair of sandals and a nice shirt and you're good to go out to dinner. No wrinkles out of the dryer, either!

Best Ever
I was never a skort or skirt wearer, but this one alone changed my habits. I bought one and loved the soft and comfortable feel so much I bought two more. Fits perfect and I can wear it anywear except on the ulty field.

Wow! Great skirt
The skirt material was even better then what I would have thought. The shorts are made into the skirt so that it does not add extra material, so that you do not look larger. I usually wear a size 8 and I bought a 8. It's fits perfect.

best ever
This is one of the best pieces I own. I have four of these and wear them constantly in warm weather. They look great dressed up or down. The material is fabulous and the shorts underneath give you freedom for any activity.

nice skirt
There are lots of positives about this skort. I am sure I'll wear it often. Why I rated it 4 instead of 5: The zipper gets slightly caught on its way down from the waist but that's probably because my waist is not a flat board but more like jello. I would appreciate a version with an elasticized waist and belt. The fabric is like velvet and tends to catch fluff, and despite the lining, can 'stick' to my nylon stockings. The pocket is sort of very small. I think it's functional like the little pocket on running pants. The look is quite professional so I wear it to work and don't have to worry about showing my undies. I have not used it for running or biking yet. Generally, I'm satisfied with this product.

Love to wear the Duway
I have another patagonia skort that I love even more than the Duway. I purchased it from Title Nine and they called it the 007 skort. It is made of 100% nylon and drys in a flash. I like the Duway because it is not as casual. I haven't worn shorts in three years now that I have found Patagonia's skorts.

I liked the first one in black so much that I ordered a second in pumice. <b>Fits true to size.</b> Material is soft and stretchy enough to move with you. Above the knee length is just perfect, and the shorts underneath mean you don't have to worry when you bend over. You can feel dressed up and comfortable at the same time!

Best piece of clothing I own
Good travel clothing always makes good Mom clothing. I can wear this to my twins playgroup and still go right to the office or meet with clients in this skort. Holds up to spills and doesn't wrinkle. I have it in 3 colors!!! Sizing is right on and it's as comfortable as a pair of running shorts.

Fab-u-lous!
This has to be the a girl's best travel friend. I already had one in black and needed to get another in pumice for my upcoming trip to Myanmar (Burma). It feels great, washes wonderfully in the sink and is dry by morning. In addition, it's respectful enough to wear to the pagoda with the comfort of shorts. You can never have too many of these. I recommend buying one in every color!

terrific skort
Unlike most skorts, this skort does not have a wrap design. It has NOTHING to add bulk where you don't want it. The length is somewhat longer too. I could wear this on a hike, stop at my son's track meet, go to church and then pick up groceries on the way home. I haven't washed it yet, but the fabric is very high tec and I know it will wash like a dream. I have it in black and wore it out to dinner. It's that versitile. I love this skort and I own a lot of skorts.
