Love this!
I live in this coat! It's like wearing a down sleeping bag! One of the best things about the coat is that it gives you a lot of coverage and warmth, but is very lightweight.
I've washed it many times and it still looks great.
Getting ready to order a second one in another color!!!
On the pricey side, but so worth it.

At last!
I've wanted this coat for a long time - didn't need another one. Just wanted it. Envy my friends each time I see them wearing theirs. At last, my want overcame my need. I LOVE this coat. It is a beauty in Prussian Blue. I feel like a million bucks wearing it. Can't believe I waited so long.

Great lightweight warmth
I purchased this coat for my weekly commute between Chicago and Washington DC. I needed a coat that was stylish enough to look good with business casual wear, lightweight, packable (this rolls into a ball if you need it to), and warm. This coat fits the bill perfectly. I know it will not be warm enough in 20 degrees F or colder unless you have some serious layers underneath, but you'd want a heavier coat for that anyway. I am 5' 2", 110 pounds, small frame, and after reading the other reviews purchased size S to ensure room in the shoulders. The hips are a bit wider than I'd expected, but not to the point of looking silly. I only wish it came with a packing pouch like the other Patagonia coat I'd considered.

Great purchase
Love this jacket. It's so light weight and great for running around town with my kiddos. It feels like I don't even have a coat on it's so light, however it keeps me warm. Some reviewers said the jacket runs very small. However, I didn't find that to be the case. I was so nervous about it I ended up buying my size and the size larger and I have to return the larger size. My recommendation it to follow the size chart provided. I'm so happy with this purchase. This will be my "go to" coat this winter!!

Patagonia Fiona Jacket
This coat has a wonderful feel - very lightweight, yet warm. Colors are rich. Great styling with slightly flared hem line. Be aware coat runs extremely small. I bought this for my mother who normally wears a 4-6 petite and she needed a large.

great winter coat
This is a great winter coat for a northwest girl. Feminine cut, warm and well-made. I tried on several long, down jackets and this one by far has the best fit. (I'm 5'3 115 and wear and XS). The only thing that would improve this coat is a hood- maybe next season!

This jacket is comfortable, light and warm. It's stylish and fitted and yet allows for movement. It's incredibly lightweight and seems to stand up against the elements better than one would think. Overall I'd recommend it for someone looking to get a Parka jacket for the winter that will keep warm without much weight. The only negative that I'd point out regarding this item is that it doesn't do much to prevent the wind from ripping through.

Another great Patagonia product
I have had a Patagonia down sweater for several years now and wonder how I ever lived without it. I just recently bought the Fiona parka and it looks to be as good as the down sweater in terms of warmth and versatility with the added benefit of being a "coat" for less casual occasions. I am 5'8" tall and 130 pounds and I am a Small in both the Fiona and the down sweater, though I would more typically order a Medium in other brands. This is a great traveler as it scrunches into nothing and fluffs right out.

Love this coat
I'm really happy with this coat. I like that it is longer, slightly fitted, and lightweight. It is a great layering piece. I warmed it up with a fleece underneath in the snow and used it over a short sleeve t-shirt for plane travel.

Women's Fiona Parka
This is my second Fiona to purchase-I don't travel anywhere without this in the suitcase-it is lightweight-good looking and most importantly warm-it fits beautifully-I am 5"2" and weigh 115 lbs-it is hard to find a down parka that doesn't look like its wearing me! This styling is trim and slenderlzing especially for small frames-the colors offered are a wide range and vary from season to season-I always buy a small so I have room to layer underneath if necessary-I live in warm climate and wear this in the winter-and even wear it at the beach on cool days in the spring and fall-I have also replaced it my fur coat with it when I go out west skiing-so much lighter to carry and pack-and more animal friendly!!!!

My wife loves this jacket
This was a special gift for my wife and she loves this jacket. My wife is 5'7'' and 120 lbs and the medium fits perfectly. It is super warm and looks great as well. The quality of Patagonia is unbeatable.

fantastic long coat
I LOVE IT. I needed a winter coat that was waterproof, somewhat warm, but most importantly long enough to wear over my longer sweaters. I am a Patagonia fan and have been for decades. This coat lives up to my expectations. I am wearing it now as I write this review... It is so comfortable I don't want to take it off!

LOVE IT !!!
This is a great winter coat!!! It has an elegant design. It is great to wear to the office, out to dinner or just running errands. This is a lighter down coat so it will not be the choice on the coldest of New England mornings but works for most of the winter. Love that it is so light and the design will be elegant in the years ahead.
If you are looking for that super warm winter coat, you may want to select a heavier down coat. I also have the Patagonia down sweater which is one of the reasons I selected this down coat.

Great Fit and Feel
I bought this coat for my girlfriend and she has been thrilled with it. She is 5'10" with a very slim, athletic build. She loves the warmth and comfort and it is very flattering on her. She has been wearing it in a variety of 10-30 degree conditions with great results. She has not had it long enough to determine durability, but Patagonia products have been consistently good to us over the years so we do not have any reason to suspect that this piece will be any different.

Stylish and Functional Down Parka
Most long down jackets make me look like the abominable snowman so I don't wear them to work or dressier occasions. The Patagonia Fiona Parka is thin enough to wear over work clothes without looking bulky and unflattering. The 800 fill down is very warm and surprisingly light, it doesn't look or feel like I'm wearing a down comforter. The zipper is sturdy and slides smoothly without catching on the fabric. The 2 side pockets have zippers, I wish there was also an inside zip pocket for an iPod or keys.

Nearly Perfect Casual Warmth
Amazing warmth to weight ratio (as expected with down). Have never had a Patagonia product I wasn't 100% happy with and this continutes that trend.

Great parka. Warm and lightweight: in - 20 degree weather with sweatshirt underneath it is perfect.

stylish and warm!
I purchased the vest first which I love but I needed something to get me thru the frigid N.E. winters and visits to Chicago. The coat was perfect. The color is more of a purple than brown but very pretty and the cut is slimming and flattering unlike other down coats. Most importantly it is so warm yet light enough to carry when you are going in and out of shops. I am 5'3 with broad shoulders and a medium fit perfectly. This is my fourth purchase thru altrec and everytime they have been so helpful with any questions and the service has been fantastic!!! Looking forward to doing more shopping online with them.

Great coat!
I love this coat! It's super comfortable, lightweight and warm. I usually wear a M, but it fit a bit tight through the chest so I got a L, which still looks fitting. The bitter chocolate is more of a dark purple, which surprised me...but I like as much if not better than brown.

light, comfortable, warm
Great fit, love it! The length is perfect. The design of the quilting on the A-line is becoming. My only desire for a "perfect" jacket would be more pockets- perhaps on the inside.

very lightweight, comfortable and stylish!
I've had my Fiona parka for a year and just bought the same one for my daughter. It's the best jacket I had in years and I highly recommend it to everybody looking for comfort and style

light, comfortable, flattering, warm!
love this coat....well worth the price...agree with other posters about the slim fit..wore it in neg 20 degree weather with sweatshirt underneath..it is warm!

warmth, with less weight plus great style...all in on coat.
I live in Colorado and this will explain why I have three Fiona parkas. I only wear these coats. Depending on the temperature...determines the layers that I wear. I have found the coat of my dreams and I will be a devoted patron.

great warmth and style, but slim fit
I live in the SF Bay Area and wear this coat A LOT. It's my favorite down item, in fact I love it so much I bought a second color. Very cute; I get compliments on it all the time. You can dress it up or down. The fit is quite slim - I normally wear a small but needed a medium to have enough room in the shoulders. I loved it so much I bought a second color.

great, but be prepared for a slim fit
i absolutely love this jacket, but it was a little slimmer fitted than i expected. i have the down sweater vest and jacket in a size small, and so i ordered the fiona in a size small as well. however, unlike my sweater vest and jacket, the fiona was a bit snug in the shoulders. i might have gone with a medium if i had known this. but, i still love the lightness and warmth of the jacket.

Great Coat
I adore the Fiona. I love how lightweight it is - makes it easy to run around doing errands, walking the dogs, etc. I have Patagonia's Down Sweater as well, and this is the equivalent in a coat style, except that it is cut leaner and therefore looks more fashion-forward. The chanterelle color is beautiful - kind of cream/gray shade. There is no compression sack pocket like there is in the Down Sweater, which is kind of a bummer because I am less likely to travel with it. I am fine with wearing the coat alone down to about 15 degree weather. After that, I think that you need to use it as a mid-layer, maybe wearing a capilene 4 baselayer underneath and/or topping it with a trench shell, like the Rain Shadow Trench Coat. I use it with the Rain Shadow Trench during wet and cold days, and they fit perfectly together!

It's good however...
This jacket is extremely light and it looks great - I've been complimented - however, despite its 800-fill goose down, it does not keep me warm in 25- (or below) degree weather. It works like a charm in 30- to 40-degree climates, but it wasn't all I expected to be since I tend to get extremely cold.
