Description

Whether it's spring in the canyons of New Mexico or winter on the slopes of Purgatory, take the Patagonia Women's Full-Zip Re-Tool Jacket along for the ride. Lightweight and extremely packable, this high pile technical jacket features Polartec® Thermal Pro® fleece for uncompromising heat retention when temperatures are low. With an amazing warmth to weight ratio, the Re-Tool has a sleek and slimming design without the unseemly bulk that can inhibit movement.

Moisture-wicking capabilities move perspiration away from your skin before you feel its chill and the double-fleece collar eliminates chafe for super soft comfort against your chin and neck. Quick drying and ultra comfortable, the Patagonia Full-Zip Re-Tool Jacket for women is great as a stand-alone piece in milder conditions but also makes an awesome mid-layer when things are more extreme.

Great fleece!
May 23, 2011

I am really excited to have found this gem. It has been on the trail with me during backpacking trips and I have worn it around town. It it extremely soft and provides a lot of warmth, but little wind protection. On chilly evenings on the trail, I have paired it with my rain jacket to stay warm and keep wind out. I have washed it about four times and it still looks brand new.

This jacket is better than expected! It is lightweight but very soft, cozy, and warm. While it is not meant to be worn for very cold weather, it is great for Colorado spring weather...just takes the edge off of any coolness in the day. I wear it daily!

I love this Patagonia jacket/sweater. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because it is very long. I am short(5 feet tall)so I knew it would be a bit long, but I can deal with it. The sleeves are also long. I have been given great compliments on the vibrant color. It's also very warm and yummy soft inside and out. Overall I am extremely satisfied with it.

My Favorite Fleece
September 28, 2010

I have an embarrassingly large number of fleeces, especially Patagonia fleeces, and though I love them all, the Full Zip Re-tool Jacket holds a very special place in my heart. This is my go-to, comfortable fleece that I cozy up with after work and on lazy weekend days. It looks and fits great, and when I put it on it gives me that same feeling as the first sip of hot cocoa after a day on the mountain. Sigh.

Patagonia Re-tool Jacket
January 10, 2012

I bought this jacket for my daughter for Christmas and she loves it! I didn't think it was going to be that warm when I first looked at it, but I borrowed it one night and was pleasantly surprised how toasty it was-I had a medium weight sweater underneath. I bought the green and it's a fabulous color.

My daughter goes to college in the NC mountains and loves this jacket. The quality is excellent and the style is great. Looking good while staying warm is at times challenging, but this jacket makes it easy. Fits her like a dream. She is 5'6, 125 lbs. and wears a small. Thanks Patagonia!

Superfleece!
December 28, 2010

Bought this for my wife after she fell in love with another patagonia hoodie fleece last year. She can't stop telling me how much she loves it. Warmth and comfort are the features she mentions most. I can only assume it will be as durable as her other one (she wears it all the time). She fit the measurements for a medium online but we had to return it for a large. It seems to run a little small as other reviews have stated. Crazy good customer service throughout the return process. Will be ordering more patagonia products from altrec.

very cozy
August 30, 2012

Super cozy. Its definately slim fitted and I had to go up a size from what I normally wear because I am not small chested. However, even going up a size, its still a very flattering fit. I get cold very easily and tend to wear this around the house a lot. Great fall/spring weight for outsiide. I own 3 of these in different colors, thats how much I like it! Its a bit pricey but I was able to pick them up from altrec on sale. I was originally going to get a north face fleece but decided that I did not want to dress like my daughter and her Jr. High friends so I went with patagonia. So glad I did. Now SHE wants one of these fleece for herself.

Love this fleece!
May 01, 2011

I just got this fleece a couple of weeks ago, and I've been wanting to wear it every day. It's cozy, comfortable, warm, and cute! I am pleased with the color (French Roast) since it goes with just about anything and I'm impressed with its quality and soft texture, both inside and out. I am 5'5" weighing in around 130 and I got size M because I'll typically be wearing it over one or two layers. It fits perfectly. This fleece is great for Spring or Fall weather here in KY (possibly heavy enough for winter too in a warmer Southern climate). I am very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend!

Re-tool full-zip jacket
October 13, 2010

This jacket is at the top of my rather lengthy list of favorite fleece tops. It is stylish and looks trim without being too fitted. I can wear this on "business casual" days at work where the temperature calls for more than a long-sleeved shirt. I have taken this fleece when I travel, and it comes out of the bag without a wrinkle or crease. The comfort-factor on this jacket is as high as I've found! The top of the zipper is protected so the zipper does not poke me in the chin. The length of the body and sleeves is just right. I can fold up the sleeve if I want the cuff out of the way, and I can pull it down to keep my hands warm. I agree with other reviewers that the size runs to being more generous than fitted. That is not a problem for me. I can't wait to buy another one this year is another delicious color!

Great spring jacket! Perfect weight for a spring jacket, very comfortable and soft. Also love the flexibility. I am 5'4 and 140 lbs and purchased the medium. I feel like I would have been happy with small or medium. With the medium I can wear a hoodie underneath but it is not too big. I love this jacket. Only downside for me is there are no elastic cords to cinch at the waist.

How can you go wrong with Patagucci? I have many fleeces & my Patagonias are without a doubt my favorite; cannot beat the cozy, comfortable feel & the quality certainly stands the test of time. The re-tool jacket is my latest purchase & it's perfect for a early Spring jacket here in New England but also has served me well as a heavier midlayer for skiing. The green is a fabulous color. The fit is slim, but not form fitting; it runs true to size. You may pay a bit more for Patagonia products, but they are an investment!!

Worth It
August 07, 2011

With so many fleece jackets available today, it seemed silly to be paying this much for one. However, I'm really happy with the jacket. It's stylish, comfortable, and worked well on my recent hiking trip. I hope that it washes well, but the type of fabric should help prevent the pilling that happens with some fleeces. I do wish it had pockets with a zipper, although these are certainly cute. I'm usually a medium and got one in this jacket and it worked well, so the sizing is right on.

Very attractive and warm
January 04, 2010

Very comfy and very warm, and a flattering fit, too. Purchased for my daughter but I may end up swiping it for myself and getting her a different color later in the year. She is in a small, and the fit is good but not too snug - I am usually a medium and it fits me very well, but snugly. We both love the placement of the hand warmer pockets - not too far back so it's easy to walk around with your hands covered. Not bulky at all, so it makes an excellent layer underneath a shell for the really cold days!

I ordered the Women's Full-Zip Re-Tool Jacket several weeks ago, and am thrilled with this warm and cozy fall to winter staple. My only issue with it is that the sleeves may be too short for tall women with longer arms. Style isn't compromised in the design of this jacket, with its fairly true to size fit and typical Patagonia quality. Not only that, but I got a great deal on it and it made it here-from Oregon to my campus in DC-in an impressive amount of time-thanks Altrec! I'm very impressed!

Recycled polyester is all that could make this jacket better. It's fluffy enough to keep me warm on a cool fall day, and seems durable. The fabric seems pill-resistant, which is a plus for fleece, and it has a subtle (though loose) shaping that flatters.

Runs a tad small
April 10, 2013

I always wear a small in Patagonia...always. And sometimes the Smalls are too big, like the Nano Puff and the Down Sweater but that's OK, I am used to it and it is nice to have a little extra room. This is my first Re-Tool. I absolutely love the fabric and the bright color and I feel it is well constructed. Unfortunately it is a little too small. I am 5'3", 125 with a 34C chest. The Chest & Back feels a little tight ... I can feel the seam that runs across the upper back...it definitively fits snug in the Armpit area also. I could get away keeping the Jacket because the Fabric is stretchy and I could wear it with just a thin T-Shirt but I am so used to roomy Jackets that I have to send it back. I will try a Medium but I have a feeling it will be too long in the Arm. I am hoping for the best!

The jacket is great. It fits very true to size, it is very comfortable and soft. With the full zip it is easy to throw on over anything on a cool day. Its also great to wear under wind shell for extra warmth. The bright saturated color is awesome! Mesh lined pockets are deep enough that items do not slip out (despite no zippers).

Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, delicious colors

WARM, SOFT FABRIC!
February 12, 2010

This is a great layering piece for the fall/winter months! The fabric is really warm and the fit is great as well. I bought it in a size large but I will be exchanging it for a medium, so I would say this jacket runs large. But I would highly recommend it for the quality and style!

Great jacket, runs a little small, will exchange for medium. Great quality and I love the color choices. Previous purchases have always been Northface however I'm sure to check out more of what Patagonia has in the future. Altrec seems to have a larger selection of colors and sizes...I'll be back!

Cozy for casual wear
August 17, 2012

The re-tool jacket is super warm and cozy for casual wear. It is not windproof, so if it is the dead of winter and the wind is blowing you will not stay warm unless it is under something. It is also not very breathable under something windproof so I mostly wear mine indoors and it keeps me totally warm. The high pile is great, and I definitely recommend it. I have one of these and three of the pullovers. Also, they are very durable. They do not pill or get lint and things stuck to them. Very easy to care for.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: not windproof, not really breathable under shells

Just what I wanted... A great Jacket!!!
February 15, 2012

I ordered this Patagonia jacket in Bordeaux, and the color is really beautiful. I am a student, and this jacket is perfect for wearing to school and around campus. The first time I wore it, my sister saw it, and was really jealous. The jacket is really warm and very soft. It is by far the most comfortable jacket I have. The fit is true to size, and the quality is awesome! Everything I have from Patagonia, I really love!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use

The jacket is great. It fits very true to size, it is very comfortable and soft. With the full zip it is easy to throw on over anything on a cool day. Its also great to wear under wind shell for extra warmth. The bright saturated color is awesome! Mesh lined pockets are deep enough that items do not slip out (despite no zippers). I am 5'6" and 135 lbs and the medium is perfect.

Pros: Build quality, Ease of use, super fuzzy!

Warm, cozy jacket
November 27, 2012

A warm and cozy jacket from Patagonia. I typically wear a small or medium and had to return the medium for a small. As many of the other reviews indicated, the neck is extraordinarily snug when the jacket is zipped up all the way. The jacket fits under a down jacket for added warmth. I've received many compliments on the bright turquoise color.

I love how Patagonia jackets fit so nicely. I like to get the XSmall and the jacket actually fits like an XSmall. It is slim and not bulky at all. The feel of the jacket is great!

Warm and Cozy
January 23, 2012

This is my 2nd re-tool jacket. I have the pullover and loved it so much I wanted the zip up. Comfy, warm, and stylish. Has a roomy fit, but that's perfect for layering. Definitely recommended.

I purchased this after owning four (yes, four) of the re-tool snap-t jackets. It fits identically to those pullovers, which I find to be a little small (for reference, I usually wear a size XS or S in almost all tops/brands at 5'8" and 120 lbs, but take a M in Patagonia). This jacket is cozy almost to a fault (which is why I had already had four) and they hold up beautifully, so I can only assume this will hold up as well as the snap-t re-tools have. I recommend this to everyone!

I have many of the patagonia re-tool jackets and pull overs. They are very high quality and warm. I wear them all year around. Great for around the fire pit on a cool summer evening or as a mid layer to keep you warm during the winter. I have had some of my re-tool fleece for over 5 years and washed them almost weekly since I live in them and still look brand new. I am 5'1", 110 and the small fits with plenty of room. X-small fits as well but I like a little wiggle room for layers underneath in the winter.

Love this jacket
January 21, 2011

I have been wanting to purchase a Re-tool jacket for years and I'm so glad I finally took the plunge! This jacket is fuzzy, soft and warm, inside and out! Its perfect for 40 degrees plus weather, anything under 40 degrees you will need an extra layer as its not a super heavy coat. I'm 5'4 125lbs 34B and the small fits like a dream! I couldn't decide between the Re-tool jacket or pullover but went for the jacket since it has pockets and the pullover does not, so glad i made this choice! I'll be wearing this jacket for years to come.

My daughter needed a full zip version of the re-tool pullover for college. This jacket is so great - she put it on and her eyes lit up. Super soft and she can easily stuff it in her pack. The perfect layering jacket for Boston winters!

comfy jacket
December 21, 2009

A comfortable, warm, and lightwieght jacket. It fits more true-to size than the re-tool pullover, which is abnormally small. It is well made, well designed, and washes up nicely.

Fuzzy Fleece!
May 07, 2013

The Patagonia Fleece I ordered came quickly and fit perfectly. I'm 5'3 and about 120 lbs., but often things are too boxy on me. I ordered a size x-small and it fit well. I love the fuzzy-ness. It's warm, but not too warm - a perfect spring jacket! The only con is that there are no zippers on the pockets, which is unusual for Patagonia, but the pockets are big and can hold what you might need for a light hike or quick run to the store.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Great value

Beautiful jacket, quick delivery!
January 06, 2010

I ordered this for my daughter and it was exactly what she wanted. Fits true to size and very stylish looking.

Excellent fleece-not bulky
January 08, 2010

I ordered the re-tool jacket in the pesto color-I get compliments every time-the jacket fits comfortably-I can layer underneath with shirts. Very comfortable and cozy jacket.

This is my second one. Pretty, warm, and fleece!
December 08, 2009

I love this jacket. It's cold where I live (eastern Washington, NOT near Seattle) and I wear this around the house over a tee. It fits well;I'm 107 and the XS is fine. If you zip it all the way up the neck's not comfortable in the house--that's for outdoors in the cold; it comes up quite high and I have a long neck. Nevertheless I love it. Unzip it a bit and it folds into a collar. get the green if you have green eyes!

Love it!
