Warm and flattering
March 27, 2012
I compared this to Patagonia's regular down sweater and found that this was warmer and more flattering. Yes, it is bulkier, but somehow manages to conform to the body in such a way that shows one's figure. The regular down sweater also seemed a lot wider around the torso and looked strange (the back puffed out) when I tried wearing it unzipped. This hi-loft sweater isn't that much more expensive then the regular sweater, either ($30 more). Another thing that I liked was that this sweater was several inches longer in the torso and a little bit longer in the arms. For reference, I am 5'11 and 140 lbs and took a Medium, so I appreciate the extra length. The sweater also stuff nicely down into a little pouch for traveling. As always the case with Patagonia, it is of great quality, and I know that it will last for a long time. The price was a bit steep, but I think that it will be worth it in the long run.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, flattering fitgreat jacket

I purchased this sweater, as well as Patagonia's regular down sweater, and this is the hands down winner. The fit is so much more flattering! It's so darn cute and is so warm that you really don't need much in the way of layering underneath. It's perfect!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valuegreat for cold, not so much for rain....

This jacket has a great fit, it's light and TOASTY warm, and I loved the color!! That said, this jacket wasn't for me :( The down showed through the light aqua color, giving it a "dirty" appearance. I live in Seattle, and quickly realized after one outing in the rain, that this jacket was not going to be "Pacific-NW-rain" resistant, at least.... But hey, it IS a great jacket for not-rainy climates, and a different color might just be all it takes to make it completely stellar.
Pros: Great designGreat jacket

Very warm and comfortable. It's light and doesn't feel bulky. The magenta color looks awesome! I recommend this jacket! I also own the north face nuptse and though it's warm it's very bulky.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of usePerfect

I love this jacket, the fit is perfect. The length is a little longer than most down sweaters/jackets, so it covers my entire torso, which is great. It's got the usual patagonia nice details and excellent quality.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Great value
