Cute top but weird sizing
January 21, 2012

First of all, this is a gorgeous top and feels amazing to wear. But ... the sizing is way too large and not consistent with other stuff from Patagonia. I am 5'4" 135 lbs 32A and have several Patagonia Nano Puffs, Capilene tops and Active Mesh Bras in S that fit me perfectly. I expected the sizing to be the same on the Hotline Top but, while it fits and looks ok, the shelf bra is a little "roomy" and doesn't feel as snug as I would like. I'm keeping it as it is beautiful and I fear that the XS would be too small but if it doesn't shrink a bit in the dryer I might have to wear the Active Mesh Bra under it when climbing.

Pros: Build quality, beautiful
Cons: runs very large

Patagonia Hotline Top
November 04, 2011

This top is well made from comfortable cotton fabric. It washes and wears well. It has a built-in shelf bra that provides enough support for no to low impact activities. I ordered a size small and I think it's a little too big for me. A small in the Patagonia Pinback top fits me perfectlty. Overall, it's a good buy.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
Comfort: 4 / 5

loved the fabric...
September 23, 2011

Nice design overall. Soft, medium weight fabric with some stretch. Unfortunately it didn't fit me great since it had more fabric in the shelf bra than I needed and for the same reason, was close in the underarm, but this is a common thing for me, I would recommend it for someone with a larger A cup and up.

The top is cute and stylish; material is soft and durable. I have gotten nice compliments on the top. The quality is good for the price I paid for it. I would recommend this product to a friend.

The top runs a bit large for me but I kept it since the fabric is a nice thickness and soft. It is too roomy around the rib cage so I ended up wearing a sports bra underneath. It looked fine wearing both and was more comfortable. I would recommend this top to a friend eventhough it a bit large for me. I ordered XS. It also washes nicely!

not what I expected
June 20, 2011

I ordered this in the orchid smoke which looks very pretty on the screen but when I got it I was simply disappointed. The color looked washed-out liked it has been washed several times before. Maybe that's how soft cotton is supposed to be but definitely prefer the nylon/polyester tops from Patagonia because the colors will never fade. Sent it back.

Style & Better Sizing
March 16, 2011

I have always looked forward to Patagonia's new paterns and colors as they rotate the styles of the "hotline" top. I haven't purchased one in over a year, and they have typically run a little bit small on me, so I ordered a MED this time. I am 5'4", 120 lbs. When I got it, I felt it was too loose, so I'm returning it for the SMALL. I normally wear a small, and was always surprised to find that I had to go with a Medium in Patagonia tops. The pattern on this is true to the photo, and the material is nice (not thin).

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, feminine pattern
FitClothes: 4 / 5

Larger than expected
March 05, 2011

I normally wear a size 10 and I ordered the Large it was too large for the built in bra to provide any support. I measured using the sizing cart provided and based on my measurements the large should have fit. I plan on reordering the medium.

Wish this had more support built in.
August 23, 2010

I love this fabric, but found it not very supportive. I would not recommend it for the gym.

Great Top!!
August 16, 2010

I love this top. It is very comfortable and has good support. It can easily go from a very casual look to a little dressy with a skirt or slacks.

order large
July 29, 2010

This top fits snugly and though I would generally wear a large I required an XL in this top because the waist is SO fitted. It's very pretty and comfortable, though, and it is also quite long, which makes it terrific for yoga.

Comfy Top
June 12, 2010

Great casual top -- not too tight (I bought a size up)and doesn't ride up. Good coverage and pretty pattern. Nice enough to wear outside the gym with a cardigan.

nice top
April 22, 2010

Love the fabric and slightly longer length. Wish the straps were adjustable. As someone else commented, the neckline pulls down lower than I like during my yoga class, so I am frequently tugging it back up. I'm tall, small breasted, and bought a medium, my regular size.

didnt fit well
April 19, 2010

straps too long and it squished my chest.

Great top!

I love this tank! I have bought several of these and hike all summer in them.It is also very flattering

Great tank for pretty much everything
November 10, 2009

I wear this tank all the time--it's supportive and stretchy enough for yoga, but still looks cute enough to wear to work under a cardigan. I am 5'7" and a B cup, and the small fits great. The only downside is that the top can sometimes be tugged a bit too far down in some twisty poses, but I haven't exposed myself yet!

I loved the old style, this one is
August 30, 2009

The older version had a slit up the back and was shorter. That design was more flattering. This one accents bulges. I am a size 8 got a large and it is snug around torso which by the way is long. The top is a little long strapped. It really is just an average top at best and it WAS my favorite line of tops.....

very cute
June 02, 2009

This is a great tank for vacation. It has just a little support which may be a problem for "bigger" women. I love the colors as well.

Unflattering
June 25, 2008

I'm a big Patagonia fan, and so when I got these on sale, I was psyched. However, the tank arrived, I put it on, and was utterly disappointed. I am 5'9" with a long torso, so it felt short, and the flare that other reviewers liked worked against me, as it flared at my waist, not hips, and just looked bad.

Awesome tank!
April 23, 2008

On holiday, I dressed it up...I dressed it down...it went everywhere! I am a medium breasted person with a "large" rib cage (38")...I ordered a size Large and it fit perfectly! I would certainly buy more of these and wear them as casual tanks all the time!

Molly Bassett

Flattering athletic tank
April 01, 2008

This is a fantastically flattering tank, athletically stylish and the fabric is super soft and neither too thick nor too thin. As usual, a great Patagonia product.

Cute, comfortable
March 08, 2008

This is a really cute top that is very flattering and comfortable at the same time. What a bonus! Good for exercise, lounging and can even dressing up for dinner. True to size.

a favorite climbing top
February 25, 2008

I like this tank top design so much I now have three of them, in different colors. The look is flattering and forgiving - not too tight around the belly - and Patagonia's colors and patterns are great, as usual

Stylish and sexy

I love this top. I wear it for yoga and it gives me perfect support, flexibility and style! I highly recommend it!

Greta value and quality
September 05, 2007

I love this cami...I haven't worn a bra, only bra tops, in 10 years and this one is the best , comfortable, long lasting, keeps looking like new, good support and sexy/stylish!! I actually saves money being a bra and a top all at once

Leslie Reid-Green

Nice tank
August 11, 2006

I had a previous version of this tank but the straps ripped off in the back because it was a tad to small for me(size medium.) I loved the tank and ordered another one. They must have changed the fit just slightly because the large was too large and the medium was just right. I like the slightly flared fit through the bottom of the tank and the colors and patterns are pretty. Highly recommended

Another Patagonia hit

Very nice fit, comfy wicking fabric.
