lacking Patagonia's usual standards
the fabric has a washed out look and the bust doesn't have enough support. Patagonia's built in bras are usually super flattering but this dress just makes you look flat. I'm a 34 b/c and the fit just isn't good. The colors weren't has vibrant as I had expected. The rest of the dress fits nicely. I'll stick with the Morning Glory and All Weather dress!

Nice Dress but...
I loved this dress, it is very flowing and would be great for travel. I do, however, have a wide back from swimming for 20 years, so it did not fit well across the chest for me. It also seemed a but too low cut. Th shelf bra was not substantial enough for me either, nipples showed and was not supportive for my 36C size. If I wear a bra with it, it looses its wonderful comfort factor. I am 5'6", 130lbs, athletic build and usually like things a bit fitted; I am between a sml and a med, and usually choose a small, but I ordered a Medium based on reviews. It fit nicely except for the bust, it pinched on the front next to my underarm and that made it look weird. I wish it worked! Fabric is nice, high quality, very comfortable and has the potential to be very flattering, but perhaps more for < C-cup gals. Sigh. Still looking for a sporty black dress for me.

Looked better on the model
The top was smaller than I thought and the bottom was longer and bigger than I thought. I am broader shouldered so it didn't look right on me. Need to return it. But it is a very cute dress and nice material.

Very happy I splurged
I have other Patagonia items of similar/same fabric and they have held up very well. After dozens of washings, they're still vibrant in color, without any thinning or fraying. I expect this dress will be no different.
As for fit, it is snug. I thought it would be (because of my other items) so I ordered a size up. It fits beautifully and is very flattering despite my not-so-perfect shape.
This dress tosses on easily, without any twisting or tangling or trying to figure out how to get my arms through what space. It is super comfortable. And because it is made from organic cotton, it is guilt-free.
Excellent price for a beautiful garment.

Fun, easy dress!
I am 5"5", 120 pounds, b-cup with broad shoulders and purchased the small. The dress fit me perfectly. If you have narrow shoulders, the halter straps may be set too far apart for comfort. Great for packing in the travel bag. Went biking all day in Key West and then traveled straight to dinner!

Too low cut
This dress is extremely low cut and it does not look flattering on my petite figure. However, if you don't mind showing off most of your chest, the fabric is quite wonderful. I won't be wearing this one in public.

CUTE
This dress is really cute, but the front is cut funny. There is a built in bra, but the front of the dress still sags down, so the straps need to be tighter than you would think. I am also not too keen on the fabric, as it's already faded after only a few washings. I prefer the patagonia Morning Glory dress, as it's a much sturdier fabric and the cut seems a little better - for only $10.00 more.

Great fitting dress!
I was a little disappointed because I thought I was ordering another color. The name of the colors were mixed up when I ordered. However,I do love how the dress fits, but would have preferred the color shown, but thinking I will probably keep it

Great dress & nice heavy fabric but would be a lot more versatile if the neckline weren't so low.

Sexy summer dress
This dress is sexy, flattering, comfortable, and overall great value. The simple design, tie-back detail, and beautiful drape is suitable for the beach, museums, and dinners out. Although it says "slim fit", the cut is great for women with curvy hips. I'm 5'3"/130 lbs/34B and a medium fits perfectly. The short length is great for petite women. No problems with sufficient coverage on top (which others have noted). In addition, the h[alt-er ]straps prevent/conceal unsightly bulges near armpits. I ordered two and couldn't be happier with them.

Fun dress!!!
I like the built in bra--lower cut, so would be difficult to hide bra straps. I purchased black--can be very casual or dressy depending on what shoes/jewelry you wear with it. I am usually a small in patagonia, and the small worked, so true to size.

Awesome summer dress
This dress is awesome. I already got multiple compliments for it. This is the perfect dress to throw on after swimming or surfing. Of course you can wear it to dinner too. It packs very small and light. The fabric is smooth and very comfortable to wear. A true Patagonia product.

cute dress, but not for me
I ended up sending this dress back because the top is cut way too low. Don't get me wrong, this dress is really cute, but I felt really self conscience when i put it on. I do not have a large chest, but I think it is best suited for an A cup or a small B. I ordered a small - i am 5'8 and 130 lbs, athletic build.

This dress is cute, flattering, and very comfortable. It was a little lower cut than I was expecting. It packs well and fits true to size. The price is great too.

Very flattering and fun!!
I love this dress....the colors were great and I received a lot of compliments when I wore it on a trip to Jamaica. It has a built in bra and fits very true to size. This dress is great for casual wear or for a dinner out at night.

Super cute dress
I have a couple of similar dresses from Patagonia that I absolutely love and wear all the time. I figured this one would be just as great and it is. Very versatile and sturdy, but also perfect for summer parties, going out, etc. I bought the phosphorous color, which looks yellow in the picture, but is actually greenish. True to size..I am a 4 petite and the small is a perfect fit.
