Runs Small
Cute dress but it ran a little small in the bust. I'm 130 lbs, 5 foot 7, 34A and usually take a small in Patagonia but this dress definitely ran small in the top area. Hopefully there is a M. It also looks a little formal in black so I'd have to dress it down with accessories for most of my use.

Cute dress
I bought this dress for a trip to Thailand. I wanted something light and flow-y. I am very happy with it! It will pack easily and suit the warm weather climate. I'm sure I'll get use for it in the summer in the States as well.

great dress
I first bought this dress in gray (a medium; I'm 5' 9" and 155 lbs) and fell in love the moment I put it on. It is extremely comfortable. The fabric is virtually wrinkle free and is fitted but stretchy and it falls just above the knee. I have worn it with a gray bra underneath and without one, and it worked both ways (I'm 34B). It serves well as a summery dress that can be both casual and dressy. It pairs well with a light cardigan for evenings and cooler days. My one complaint is that the straps could be an inch or so longer to make it more comfortable for my height.
I loved it so much I bought a black one as well.

meh
Bought this for my girl and it looks cheap. The fit and material were fine but the seams are awkwardly placed. If this review is short its because the dress didnt wear well.

Perfect dress
I love that this dress can be dressed up or down. It is a beautiful fabric and the small fits perfectly (I am a standard US size 6). Highly recommended, buy this dress!

Great little dress
this is a beautiful lightweight little dress - very figure flattering but not too clingy - can't comment on durability b/c have only worn once, but very well made. Comfortable on and good for packing - very little wrinkling!!

dress is lovely, but better for shorter women
The good: The Kamala dress has a lovely drape and is made of Patagonia's wonderful stretchy, no-wrinkle, jersey fabric. This fabric is thinner than the one used in the Morning Glory dresses, which gives it a lighter feel and swing. I have the grey color, which is a soft light grey, with no flower adornments at the hem.
The not-so-good: I own many styles of Patagonia dresses and this seems to be cut for shorter people. The spaghetti shoulder straps need to be longer, as the bodice seems a bit high and the waist comes up too high as well. I am 5' 6", which is not particularly tall, and 115 lbs. I ordered my usual size, which is the XS. The dress fits great width-wise. I will most likely just fix the straps myself, because I do like the dress.
Overall: It is a rather feminine style for Patagonia, with the front ruffle, allowing it to be a bit dressier, and serve a broad variety of uses.

simply beautiful and comfortable
I have this in 3 colors..love the pink!! Fabric feels great on my skin and the bra liner is very comfortable and supportive for my 36 B top. Paks well and unwrinkles quickly. LOVE it! Very flattering and sexy.

Nice dress, but not for my body shape
This is a cute dress, but it cuts me off funny. I have a long torso and an hour glass figure. I did size up since I don't like tight cloths. It is a cute idea, but just does not work for me.

Versatile dress
In black, this dress can be dressed up for evening or down for wandering the streets. It is a knit that can be wadded up and still come out looking halfway decent. The ruffle adds some style. The skirt is flattering, though shorter people might have to hem it a bit to get the most flattering length.

Perfect day to night dress.
I bought this dress after a heat wave hit my area. I have worn it out on a sunny day, but also to an evening dinner party. Many people complimented me on it. It fits well for my body type, medium chested and slim upper body. I got the black and the amaranth. Hard to pass at the sale price. I am not sure how it will wear with heavy use, because the cotton in on the light side, but I bought them for occasional use, so thats fine.

Very wearable!
This is a cute little dress. I bought the coral with floral border. The sizing runs a bit small, but not too bad. I usually wear between a medium and a large, I bought the large and it fits well. I think a medium would have been too tight. I'm 5'6" in the 165-170lb range with a fit, muscular body type. My only complaint is that the self-bra isn't very covering. I don't like others to see how cold I am!! A bit more material in the bra would make this a perfect garment.

fits nice, but kind of flimsy
I found the flow of this dress nice, but he material sort of thin and the color green almost faded looking so I sent it back. It really did fit nice (5'6", 140#, size M) and I might of liked a different color, but wasn't too wild about the material either.

great dress
I love this dress, lightweight, sporty and fun. I tried this on in a store to check what size I needed before ordering online to get the color I wanted. I'm 5'6" and 108 lbs, the size small was very tight on me and usually I wear xsmall! So I bought the medium and washed and tumble dried it 2 times to get it to shrink a little for a better fit. I found the body to be a generous size but the bust to be small fitting, there's no adjustments on the shoulders which would be a good addition. I wore this on a sailing vacation in the caribbean so I had no iron, I just hung it up for a few hours before I wanted to wear it and the humidity took care of most of the wrinkles. Overall a good light weight breathable dress.

I have a bunch of Patagonia dresses. This is one of my favorites. Im 5'2" 125lbs wtih muscluar build and a chest. I went for the Medium and it fits perfect. So cute and flirty. I got the green color and it is fantastic. The only problem as I have had with other Patgonia items, is that the color seems to fad only after a few washes.

Nice dress
I ordered this for a gift but after receiving I noticed the fit would be too small for the recipient. But, it fit me and I really liked the dress so I decided to keep it and buy a different gift to give. I ordered a Large and I usually wear a Medium (8-10). It fit me perfectly so I was glad to have it work out this way. I like the style of the dress with relaxed ruffle on top to be dressy enough to wear to work and comfortable too. It was flattering to my body shape, which is always a plus. I liked the dress enough to keep for myself!! Lucky me!

the tag on this dress does say SLIM FIT. so keep that in mind when you purchase. i am 5'4 and 145 pounds. i went with the small because i am very small up top. it looked really sexy but i didnt want sexy i wanted cute and flirty. i sent back for the medium and it is exactly the look i am going for. does shrink a bit in the wash. super cute and comfy dress. bought two colors.

Versatile Dress
I'm a big fan of most Patagonia clothing items & this dress is no exception. It has a flattering cut and lines and is a good length, so easy to travel with and throw on for multiple occasions. The one thing I find a little problematic is how low cut the neck line is, but I can easily work with that if I wear a cami underneath and throw a cardigan over it for wearing to work, etc. Good purchase, cute and comfy!

Nice Summer Dress
This dress is fitted but very flattering. If you are in between sizes, I would order the size up. The fabric has a nice feel, but it is a little on the thin side.

super cute dress
I love patagonia dresses and this one is no exception. I purchased the blue with flowers along the hem and absolutely love it. After reading some of the other reviews I went with the recommendation to order a size up. I am 5'3" 113lb and wear a size 2, patagonia xsmall. I purchased this dress in a size small and it fits perfect (thanks for the heads up on this product!). The hem falls just below my knees and it has a nice flow. I am just disappointed the small sizes sell out so quickly or I would have definitely purchased another one!

Fits small around the bust, thinner material than expected. But cute! Love the ruffle up top and the flower accents down below. Can't wait to take it to Hawaii!

Best dress ever
I became a fan of Patagonia over the summer, I bought two Astrid tops from Altrec and love them. Just like the Astrid tops, you can dress this dress up or down. I wore this dress on vacation to Disney World when it was brutally hot in August, what a lifesaver. Now that summer is over, I plan on wearing the Kamala dress with sweaters, tights, and boots. Forgot to mention that I am petite and wear the XS, fits perfectly. It's also easy to wash and maintains it shape (same go for the tops).

Comfortable and stylish
I'm 5'4" and 115 lbs and the small fit me perfectly. This can be dressed up with heels and jewelery or dressed down with flip flops and a jean jacket. I've done both! As the other reviewers point out, the dress is low cut, but with the right bra it's not too revealing (for a B cup).

Perfect Dress
Patagonia did a great job on this one. Great material and patterns to choose from. I recommend sable brown with a pair of boots. Definitely is a cleavage dress though, so be cautious with that in mind.

Sooooo beautiful
This dress is now my best friend. I'm blonde and the dark red flower pattern is perfect in color compliment. It IS a cleavage dress that probably looks better on curvy women ;-) Nice generous hem flowing below the knee. I ordered it in black too!

Very cute but not the fit I expected
The fabric is comfy and cute, and the cut has a playful flowiness to the skirt. I found the chest to be tight and definitely more revealing than I anticipated. I might exchange for a different style from Patagonia that's not so low-cut.

Love the dress
but, I re-ordered the next size up (small) and it's still too big in the body. I know it's the style to be flowy, however, I think it's too much fabric. I have to say I love patagonia dresses. I will order another style that is a slim fit rather than loose.

I love this dress
I have a hard time wearing dress because none of them are ever flattering but this one however does an excellent job hiding things that are so hard to disguise. I ordered an XL and it fits me perfect! Normally I can't order Patagonia clothes because there sizes run so small. I am going to purchase another one in a different color because I like it soooo much!

Versatile but not the average Patagonia fit
I have several Patagonia dresses (Morning Glory, Bandha etc.), all size small and although the fabric of the Kamala is lovely, it does not boast the same "give" as the others, is very low cut and very tight in the chest. I will exchange it for a Medium and see how that fits.

Great versatile dress!!

good summer dress
This dress is a little tight in the chest and really very low cut, I wear 40D and I bought an XL. It falls just below the knee, not above it(I am 5'5") The material is really soft and the colors are just beautiful! Kirsten Northern light
