Description

When the cold winter winds blow, reach for the Patagonia Lidia Parka for women. This long, cozy coat is cut to just above the knee for added protection from winter’s bite. In keeping with Patagonia’s sustainable practices, the Lidia Parka features recycled materials inside and out including the toasty warm Thermogreen® synthetic insulation and the double ripstop shell. Together, they create a lightweight and warm winter coat that is ready to face the elements. A flattering feminine fit comes from the princess seams, front and back, while the shirred quilting adds a refined and comfy look. The tall, warm collar zips up for full wind-beating comfort or can be worn down for a more casual look. Recycled soda bottles have never been put to better use than in the Patagonia Lidia Parka for women.

Warm, light, and stylish
December 11, 2011

I wasn't sure that a synthetic fill coat could compare with down for warmth, but I think this coat proves me wrong. It's noticeably warm as soon as I put it on, and keeps me warm even when sitting reasonably still for a few hours outside in near-freezing temperatures (and almost too warm when walking briskly). I say "warm" in the context of Boston winter temperatures, FWIW. I love both the utility and look of the funnel neckline, which can easily accommodate a thick scarf but still looks good without one. I wasn't sure I would really like the overall look of this coat at first, but I really like it now. The Clearlake green is a lovely color, and the shiny exterior adds interest. I am 5'7" and 135 lbs, and I usually fall between a small and a medium in Patagonia. I got this coat in a medium to accommodate thicker winter clothing beneath, and it's a great size--not too tight and not too puffy. It's remarkably light, and I think it should compress reasonably well. All in all, I am very happy with this coat and would recommend it.

Great Jacket
December 06, 2010

This is a fun and funky winter jacket. It is a full shape, as it bells at the bottom and has a large collar. It is extremely light, and keeps me pretty warm, up to about 30 degrees. Love the long length, and the zipper at both the top and bottom. Pockets are fleece lined and keep your hand warms. Check it out, with Altrec's Free Shipping!

Good Warm Parka
August 22, 2011

I bought this parka to take to Russia and although I have not yet worn it in cold weather, my initial impressions are very positive. It's cute and stylish, seems warm, and collapses down to almost nothing, which will be great for travel. I found it ran a little small, especially in the shoulders, and had to size up to a large (5'6", 150; I'm usually a small or medium in Patagonia). I love it in Feather Grey, as it's not nearly as shiny as the darker colors. The parka is a great alternative to down.

Cozy jacket
September 20, 2012

Love the styling of this jacket! I can wear it alone or wear it under a longer rain jacket. When it is all zipped up, the jacket feels so cozy. It fits true to size. This style is more form fitting than the newer low sky parka. I am allergic to down so the polyester filling is a great option for me. It is not too puffy. I wish it had a hood. I purchased this in the black. Well worth it.

February 09, 2011

I'm 5'2", 110lbs and the small fits perfect...room for under clothing, not too bulky though. Very chic and stylish, and super warm, almost too warm for most temps. Love it!

Good Gift
May 01, 2011

Bought this for my mom for x-mas. She needed a warm coat for WI winters. While it is not as nice as a down coat it does the trick. It is nice that it is knee length, keeps her warmer that way. She hasn't complained about being cold sense.

very good buy if it meets your needs
January 05, 2012

...I returned it only because I needed a dressier, warm parka/coat to wear into the city for work (I travel by public transit and walk some distance at both ends during the cold parts of the day). Also wanted water repellence. (In the end chose something with a microfiber exterior). I liked the black (not too shiny) and the overall design. Fit was good for someone 5' 9" and 138 lbs (slim build) and didn't create a "snowman" effect. If I could justify filling a closet with coats, would have kept this.

Great coat
December 31, 2010

Despite its lightness, this coat is very warm and i appreciate how light it is!!!! I am 5'5", 115 lbs., and the xs is the perfect fit. It is flattering, and the funnel neck gives it a sophisticated urban flair. Working everyday in nyc in the winter, this coat is both stylish and functional. I love it. Highly recommend.

next-to-perfect
February 22, 2011

I looked for a long time for this coat, and this one came the closest to what I wanted. I love the fit, style, and color. The ONLY drawback is that the fabric is too shiny for me. If you're a small person who doesn't want a baggy, too-puffy look; if you want a long coat but don't want to sacrifice style; and if you don't mind the shine, you will love it!

Pros: Great design
