I really love this dress-- the material is wonderful, the prints are fantastic, and it is SEXY! I gave it 4 stars because I had to have the straps altered to fit-- it was too big on top, even the size XS, though the dress ran tight everywhere else. But once I shortened the straps (also helped with modesty), the dress is perfect! It's a flirty, short length but a rugged material, so I know it will last. Not to mention I love patagonia nearly as much as prana!!! ;) Definitely don't regret this purchase...

This dress is so flattering. The color I ordered (Bonfire) was perfect for summer. Love the midline and length. Ordered a six and was true to size. Good for small and larger bra sizes. Material is very comfortable and flowing. It was perfect for Mothers Day even with a sweater. Looking forward to wearing it all the time this summer. Love it... will probably order another color.

This dress is flattering and slimming. No tank or slip needed underneath. The fabric is a nice weight and the style keeps bra straps covered. I've ordered this is two colors so far and thinking about ordering another.

I love this dress! I wore it to our open house party, but could also easily wear it to do errands. It fits like a glove. I am 5'4" 135lbs. and curvy and ordered a medium. The only adjustment I made was to pin the cleavage a little because it was a little lower than I liked. Awesome dress, especially at a sale price.

This dress is very cute for both days and evenings. It is machine washable, comfortable and durable. It is true to size (no need to size down). If you are large chested, I would not recommend the dress.

I am a big fan of Patagonia with only one complaint-the small sizes are generally a bit large for me so I order extra smalls (more like a size 2) which always fit perfect! I purchased this same dress in another color as well and found the quality and durability to be excellent. This is an ideal dress in that it can be dressed up or worn casually-very versatile.

Gorgeous dress and makes me look more thin but, shapely! Can't wait to wear out in the Summer or a warmer Spring day! The colors weren't as vibrant as in the picture though and that was the only negative about the dress.

This is a very flattering dress and is the perfect length (just above the knee on me). It seems to be well made and I love the material - it is stretchy and comfortable but not clingy at all. It is a little lower cut than I am used to, but not so much that I feel like I'm going to fall out. The cut of the dress covers bra straps nicely as well. I usually wear a size 6, but I ordered a medium as other Patagonia clothing I have ordered seems to run small - it is perfect. I ordered the northern light color and it is beautiful. I may order another color.

having never bought Patagonia before I wasn't sure what to expect but this dress is so cute I have to say I really am impressed. The fabric is stretchy but keeps it's shape really well. The cut is very flattering and the gathering at the waistline helps if you have a little bit of a tummy. I think what I like the most is that you can wear a normal bra thanks to the wide shoulder straps and being a DD cup that is vital with my summer dresses. So if you are thinking of getting this dress, stop thinking and just click add to cart, you won't regret it!

This dress is great if you like close fitting clothes. I'm about 130 lbs, and I don't generally like tight clothes, but this is clingy without being obnoxious. I don't think I'd go without a bra, but if you're bigger up top then you could get away with it. There is no extra material or padding though, so be prepared to have one layer of clingy material between your girls and the world.

Very cute and very sexy; I ordered the coral color and it's lovely. I ordered a medium, which I usually am, and it's just too tight, and really revealing. I guess I was hoping to wear it around during the day, but it strikes me as being more of a 'night out' dress, partly because it's so low cut. However, like all Patagonia clothing it seems well-made and it's adorable. I might exchange it for a large.

I wore this dress to a big party and got a ton of complements! I can't wait to wear it again. I bought the small in the anise/rosehip color. I'm 5'7" and have a slender frame. Overall the fit was fine. As with other reviewers, I found the cut a tad bit low (or straps a little too long) but I put a pin in the V cross over. I can get away without wearing a bra, but if the straps were a little shorter I would probably be able to wear one with this dress.

Agree with previous reviews, this dress is very flattering and comfortable. Size medium fits me perfectly (5'4, 125 lbs, 38b). It is very low cut, though, lower than what I usually wear. The fabric is nice, love the Northern Light, but it can feel a little warm in hot weather since it is a heavier weight cotton.

This dress says "slim fit", so i purchased a large, instead of my usual medium (i am 5'7", 150 lbs). The dress is very pretty, and is of course high quality fabric and construction as you would expect. The waist and hips fit well, but the bust, shoulders, and armpits were too large. unfortunately i will have to return this dress due to the fit, but might try to reorder it in a medium to see if that works better. I would recommend this dress, as it is comfortable, pretty, versatile, flattering, and high quality.

I'm 5'4", 117 lbs. this dress fits beautifully. You would never know I'm 41 and have 2 kids! I feel great in it! It is a bit low, a little more daring than I'm used to, but my husband doesn't seem to mind :) I find my bra shows a little in the back, I have to make sure to pull the dress up over the bra in back.

This dress is well made, good lines, soft and slightly stretchy material. I sent it back, sadly, only because the straps down the back were separated a bit too wide, exposing my favorite black bra (Patagonia barely there bra) which would be so perfect under this dress if the vertical straps matched in the back. The front matched great with said bra. If your bra matches in back or you don't need a bra (I do) this dress is recommended for comfort, looks, style, sporty or classy. I ordered the black print and was pleased. I wish I could have kept it...so I give the dress 5 stars. As a normal 4-6 in a dress, I ordered the "s" it was comfortably fitted and extremely flattering cut for my 5'5 , 128 lb frame.

The good: + excellent fit; I'm 5'7" and 140, the M was perfect. The empire waist and surplice top are very flattering. + very comfortable; the fabric moves in the right places and doesn't in the right places as well. It has just enough stretch without being thin or revealing. + well-designed; the straps and back are well-placed to hide a bra. + travels well; I shoved it in my backpack and it shook out without a wrinkle. + versatility; it layers very well. I wore mine (in the black & white mosaic pattern) to a memorial service with a cardigan on top, but then it served well for a nice dinner out afterwards as well. Also looks great with leggings if the weather is changeable. The meh: + it's quite low-cut, especially if you have any cleavage and intend to wear a bra. (But it's just fine with a camisole-strap tank top underneath.) + If you are leggy in proportions or on the tall side, it may be short for you. (I like to show a little leg, so it's perfect for me.) The wish: + The only way this dress could be improved is if it had pockets. Or one pocket. If it had a pocket, I would own it in every color and wear it nearly every day!

Very nice and flattering. I already owned one in Northern Lights and bought this as well. But the fit is larger than the Northern Lights version, so I had to shrink it in the dryer.

I have several Patagonia dresses that I live in during the summer but the Margot is definitely my least favorite. The fit isn't very flattering on me and I wish the dress was a bit longer. I am 5'8" with a lean, athletic build but the dress makes me look bulky. Based on the positive responses from other reviewers, the style must not work with my body-type. I do think the dress would be more flattering if it was made out of a material that is a bit lighter and has more movement.

The fabric on this dress is so comfortable. It fits me perfectly, I am 5'4" tall, 120 lbs. 34C on top and it's just the perfect summer dress. It hugs my waistline and flares out nicely. Very flattering. I ordered another style dress in a small and it doesn't fit me as well, so that is going back so I can order another style from patagonia. I am sure I will wear this often. Also great for traveling.

Very comfortable and versatile dress. I am 5'7", 115 pounds, A-cup and couldn't decide between sizes to buy so I got a small and a medium. The small fits perfectly...snug but more sexy! The medium is more free-flowing and a little big in the bust. I'm debating on keeping it anyway (maybe it will shrink just enough if I run it through a gentle wash?) The best part about the dress is that you can wear a normal bra and the straps won't show.

The Margot dress is a great shape, but my hips are a bit too big for the L and my waist small for XL. I liked the Nothern Lights better than the Red Pattern color and may order it in XL and get it tailored. Also wish they made dresses for us extra extra curvy women with large busts and a deep V that did not require a camisole.

I tried this dress earlier on in the summer while away on vacation. I loved it but it was early in the trip so I figured I would be back to make the purchase. I never made it and was regretting it all summer. I was very excited when I found the dress here. I purchased the Coral and love it!!! The style is a slim fit. I normally wear size 4 so I ordered the small and it fits perfect. It is now the most popular item in my summer wardrobe. Versatile enough to wear shopping during the day, to an afternoon party or even out for dinner. Looks and most important feels great!! Overall, great purchase.

This dress is comfortable and pretty in black--I dressed it up with strappy sandals and silver earrings, but it could just as easily be dressed down with flip flops. The jersey is substantial and not clingy. I am 5'7" usually wear a size 6 or 8 and the M fit nicely. Definitely worth it!

I am disappointed most of all with this item. the description doesn't say anything about being "slim fit" Well it was. If you want it to hug all your curves, then this is the dress. I was looking for more summer flowy feel. But it is was soft and the design was cute.

I loved this dress and REALLY wanted to keep it, but it is just too slim in the mid section. It is a great looking dress that will be awesome on really THIN women - I am 5'8 and 130, too snug in the middle for me. The color is beautiful and the style is perfect . I am sad to return. (the next size up was too big all over).

Excellent dress, like many of Patagonia's. It runs on a larger end of the size (if you are between S and M, order S). Neckline plunges down a bit, too, and the cut is not bra-friendly, but I am small-chested and find that smaller size functions as a shelf-bra quite well.

Wow, I got the medjool/deep space and I feel like I'm wearing a work of art. The print is BEAUTIFUL. I am an athletic size 8, on the small size of medium with an a/b bust. I ordered a medium and find it to be just a bit more snug through the hips than I would have liked, so I would say the sizing is a little on the small side. This dress has no shelf bra and the coverage at the top is minimal so finding a bra that doesn't show is going to be tough. The first thing I did was modify the straps into a racer back. The dress is designed with straight straps and with my small bust the straps kept falling down and when I sat down the cups gapped really bad. But it only took me 30 minutes of handsewing to detach and reattach the straps in a better spot and now it fits perfectly. Ironically I agree with other reviewers that it is not a good dress for a large busted woman either. Fabric is soft cotton feeling, like a heavyweight tee shirt. Not sure how it will hold up to washing, could be a pilling issue. I love it!

Fit perfectly. Other reviews said it gapped at the sides, but on me it was fine. It seems to be for larger-chested women, so if that is you, then it should be true to size. Beautiful design. Looks great, no complaints!

I usually wear M in Patagonia, and since this dress is slim fit, I went with a M. Found the fit through empire waist and hips to be perfect, but bodice is rather low cut and straps tended to fall off my (broad) shoulders. Perhaps it would be a better fit on someone bustier than me, or more appropriate as a coverup? Fabric & print design is divine, tho'.

Not a slim fit though....ample fit for small. I haven't washed it yet, it may still become perfect slim fit. Fabric feels great. Looks good with or without bra. I bought it in black , it's OK as dressy with scarf or sporty casual with flip-flops.

This dress is really flattering and comfortable! I love that it is made of organic cotton. The straps are a little long for my 5 foot-two frame, but otherwise the fit is good. I also like that I can easily wear a bra with the dress and not have to worry too much about the straps showing.

I purchased this dress because I was trying to get in the mindset of spring and I can't wait to wear it! The material is stretchy and very comfortable. I could wear it to the farmers market or to a party. I am 5'4 and 110 lbs. The xs fits really well and comes to just below my knees. The color is very true to what I saw online. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because the straps slide off sometimes.

I purchased this dress (my first Patagonia dress) in the coral. It is a perfect color especially with a tan for our hot Arizona climate. I normally wear a size 6 and bought the Small and it fits perfectly. I can wear a strapless bra with it. It is pretty low cut so I tacked the neckline about an inch for more coverage. I am 5'7", 140 lbs, 34B. Two things that could be improved on: shoulder straps sometimes slip down and the bottom hem flips up sometimes. I've washed it once in cold water on delicate and hung to dry. I always receive compliments on it whenever I wear it!

This is a very cute dress that's both sporty and stylish. However, I tried this dress in two colors at a store and noticed an inconsistency in sizing. The black mosaic dress is cut larger than the peach-colored one. I'm 5'3" 108 pounds, with a 34A chest. The peach dress in size S fit perfectly. However, I preferred the black mosaic design so I tried that one in a S. The fit was very different; it was a lot bigger and gaped around the chest. I thought maybe it was just a flaw of the one that I tried on, but I tried several other black mosaics in S, and they all had the same loose fit. Unfortunately, the store didn't have these in XS, so I couldn't try that on to compare. I ended up searching for it online and found it on altrec.com. I bought the black mosaic in an XS. It's a wee bit tighter and shorter than what I would have liked. It doesn't fit me as well as the peach dress in S. I hope Pantagonia realizes this and fixes the sizing for the next season.

I own two of these dresses, one in a blue print and the other in black. They fit true to size, and hide bra straps surprisingly well. The black one can easily be dressed up or down. It is a very comfortable and flattering dress!

I love this dress with one exception. I am 5'2'' and slender- I bought the small and the shoulder straps are too long. They fall off my shoulders and the bodice part is too loose, making it dangerously revealing if I slouch. I am going to take it to the seamstress to have the straps shortened. Other than that, I got the brown color with the yellow band and it is beautiful. I can wear it out or to work.

The dress fits really well and is a good length for me. I wish the material was lighter weight and the deep V is more revealing than I'm used to. (After all, what looks good on a 25 yr old isn't necessarily what you want to see on a 50 yr old!). That said, I bought the dress in 2 colors and am looking forward to warm enough weather to wear them!
