I like the fabric. very light and dries very quickly. I stand 5'4 and weigh 120 lbs. Size 4 fits perfect to me.

I was concerned about buying board shorts not being a perfect size 8! I am a size 12 and Most of the shorts I had tried on were either too short or too tight. When I recieved these shorts and felt the stretch of the material I was concerned that I would end up with the "Biking shorts" look, which is not flattering on my shape. I tried them on and I was hooked. They fit like regular shorts. The stretch only adds a comfort factor when you move. They hold there shape and do not "cling" to the inside of your legs and ride up when I walk. They are surprisingly flattering to my shape. I plan to buy another pair soon......Finally board shorts that arent' just for skinny girls!

waist runs awfully big

Even with the string fully pulled the waist was big. Going to have to return, but I'm afraid to try a smaller size because I think then the thigh will be too tight. They do look well made, as you would expect with all Pataguchi products.

Very cute shorts. Seem to run a little small ( for my build at least). Very comfortable and well constructed. Shorts seem to expand a little the longer you wear them. Very quick to dry. Great for swimming and other activities.

I took a risk buying shorts online but these fit very well. I bought a 4 (5'-5" 120lbs athletic build) A hare big on the hips, form fitting but not too tight on thighs. Great for beach wear, I would not wear them as casual shorts. Only negative is price, but all the swim shorts I can find are about this price so I might as well have Patagonia quality!

Quality board shorts

I thought my search for the perfect pair of brown board shorts had finally ended, though unfortunately I had to return mine because of a color issue. The brown variety has a bit of olive green in it and therefore didn't match my swim tank as I'd hoped. Otherwise, these are of good quality with a true fit.

Fantastic shorts ! LOVE THEM. I had ordered in a size 2 after reading the reviews -- I thought I should order a size up. But they are true to size. I sent the 2 back and ordered a 0 and fit perfect. Best shorts Ive ever bought.

The perfect board short

I have searched far and wide for a board short that fits an athletic, woman's figure and these are the ones. Most board shorts I have tried are juniors sizes and super short (not to mention not made for any sore of hips or thighs) or they are really long and horrible material. These are just the right length, super fabric and love the snaps vs velcro. Definitely will by another pair in a different color.

board shorts are often either comfortable OR flattering. These are both. The stretchy fabric means that even though they're low rise they seem like they'll stay on.

Board Shorts with no velcro- WONDERFUL!

These shorts fit really well, and are so comfortable. I first purchased the Wavefarer Board Shorts but they ran so small (size 8) - the Meridian shorts have a much more generous fit and the fabric is much softer.

These board shorts are about what I expected - and that's a good thing! They fit true to size (I ordered a size 2, I am 5'9" and 128 lbs) but were a little shorter than I thought they'd be. Oh, and the ginkgo is BRIGHT!!

I like the material these are made with--they dry fast and don't lose their shape, and they give in all positions. They hit in the perfect spot on the waist and I like the snaps instead of velcro (on my last pair). I can even see using these to wear for outdoor sports, then jumping into some body of water after! Size 8 fit me perfectly and I'm 5'6 and 140ish : ) LOVE them!

Great Shorts, well made, worth the money. The 8 fit but were a little snug so I returned for a 10. I like my board shorts a little looser. The material is nice and stretchy.

I went out on a limb and purchased 4 pair of the Meridian board shorts and glad that I did. It is very hard to find shorts just the right length and fit and these are both. They are sized just perfect.

Skimpy shorts do not work well for active riders and these are not! They are the perfect cut, length and fit. I am 5'8" and these look perfectly proportioned. Of course Patagonia quality never disappoints...

These shorts are great for any beach activity. Other Patagonia shorts tend to be really short or really long, but these are the perfect length.They're a little stretchy, quick drying and flatttering. I have 3 pairs now and wish they came in other colors. I hope Patagonia continues to make these shorts without changing the cut. Highly recommended!

I bought both the Oceana Blue and Fusion Sunset and love them both. In Patagonia shorts, I normally wear a size 10 or 12 but I sized down to 8 on this one and am glad I did! I'm 130 lbs with 37' hips. Size 8 fit perfectly (not too tight or too roomy!).

Patagonia has done it again. Board shorts that don't have velcro, but buttons instead. Comfortable fit and great material. These will be well loved this summer.

I've been looking for a great pair of boardshorts for kayaking, and these hit the sweet spot! Greater coverage, and they fit well over my bottoms. Material is smooth and light, so no heavy weight when wet. Would recommend this product ....

I am so pleased with these shorts! Finally, a pair of board shorts that are cut for a woman's figure rather than juniors. They are very comfortable and flattering. I am 5'5" and 125 lbs and the size 6 fits great. They are just a bit loose around the waist but they fit perfectly in the hips, seat, and thighs. I purchased them in dark grey and bali blue (which is a very bright, electric blue). I wish they had more colors and prints.

Love the shorts but to do run a bit small. I am a size 6 in most everything but needed to go up a size with these board shorts. Seem like a great short though, the material is soft and comfortable.
