So Nice!

Well made sweater in solf, cozy merino. Love the blue. Got it to go with a Patagonia tunic in the same color, which I also love. The button holes are tight, but will loosen up. Try it; you will be happy.
Perfect Travel Cardigan
March 13, 2012
I am 5'7 and 145 lbs. I am the mohter to three. I run, swim, surf, bicycle, walk, practice various types of yoga, bootcamp, etc. I bought this cardigan in a medium and the blue Lagoon color. My family and I traveled to Belize for 10 days for a wedding. I wore this on the plane, over my sundresses, with tank tops and skirts, shorts and t-shirts, my 7 year old wore it when she got cold, I used it as a little blanket on my 2 year old on the plane... it always looked fresh even after I stuffed it in my timbuk2 bag going through security. It is my favorite piece of clothing right now!!! i highly recommend this cardigan. It is soft and thin. it works for warm weather, cool weather, etc. I didn't like the neckline at first. I felt it was too high on my neck but I like it now. Also, I like clothes a bit baggy so I think if I buy it again I'll get the large.
Love this sweater!

I wore it all over Paris, and it was the perfect combination of being GEAR (light, warm, very packable, useful under many circumstances), and being STYLISH (feminine, looked great, went with lots of stuff--- in other words, didn't look like gear). Love the combination of function + style. The high neck, which I had been skeptical about, actually worked with necklines of many different kinds of tops. Keep that fashionable gear coming, Patagonia!
Best cardigan ever!

I love this cardigan so much. I am 5'5'', 120 lbs, C chest, and I wear a size small. It fits perfectly. I originally bought it in black and now I just purchased it on sale in amaranth and grey. Both colors are great. I would highly recommend this-- after all you can wear it all of the time!
Nice addition to wardrobe

Very pretty sweater in lovely light weight wool. I am 5'3" and 128 lbs, normally wear a 6-8. Medium fit perfectly. Haven't washed it yet but I will be careful as some other reviewers have said there were problems.

Initially loved the sweater. Perfect fit and material. The down side...do not wash!!! I wore it a number of times and it needed to be cleaned, I followed the instructions on the tag: machine wash cold like colors and it completely ruined the sweater. I am totally disapointed!
ripping at the seams already
June 16, 2011
I purchased this sweater in two different colors about a month ago and have worn it a handful of times, washed it once and noticed that it is beginning to rip at the seams on one of the sleeves on the cuff. I trust Patagonia to make a good quality product so I'm not sure if this is a one off issue, but it's frustrating since I've purchased less expensive cardigans in the past that don't have this issue. Otherwise, this cardigan has a nice fit and goes with most skirts or pants I've paired it with, and dress up a t-shirt nicely.
nice but not perfect

bought two, first was a small and was too small. Usually smalls are just right. Medium was better for layering. I think it may have gone through the dryer accidentally because the fabric started to pill, which is surprising given Patagonia's strong reputation for durability.
Nice weight, good quality

This cardigan will get many seasons of wear and is good in NYC where I live from fall to spring and even some early summer nights, I imagine. In the winter it's a good layer to be wearing around the office when the heat's on. It's lightweight and was perfect this week in sunny 60 degrees mid-day. Patagonia is always durable quality and I expect this to be the same. Now that I have one, I'll definitely look to add other colors to my wardrobe-versatile and flattering. I'll wear to work and out on the weekends too.
Odd neckline but great fabric
March 16, 2011
I love Patagonia products for the superb quality of their synthetic fabrics, and find them to often be well worth their higher than average prices. I was excited about this sweater because I enjoy the convenience of cardigans and I love merino wool (machine washable and so comfortable). Also because its length looked well-suited to my petite frame. Unfortunately, I found the styling of this cardigan to be unflattering on me. The crew neckline, even when partially buttoned, is tiny and looked out of proportion with the loose boxy fit (which I liked) of the rest of the sweater. I tried leaving it completely unbuttoned, but it still draped oddly on me and didn't flatter. I hope Patagonia comes up with a similar cardigan in a v-neck or scoop-neck...sadly, this one did not work for me.
Great Little Cardi
December 15, 2010
I ordered this cardigan in the "natural" color, and it is exactly what I was hoping for: a versatile, wear-with-everything cardigan that can be both dressed up and down.
