love it

This sweater is well made. It keeps me warm under my down sweater coat in cold temperatures. I am 5'4" 125 lbs and the small fits perfectly. I will buy more in different colors.

Fantastic Cardigan
April 07, 2012

Received this cardigan for Christmas and I love the color, I got the gray. The fit is perfect, I ordered a small, I'm 5'6" and the length was just right. It is warmth without the bulk. The length in the arms was just enough to scoot it down over my hands if I was on a cold walk with my dog. You can dress it up with a pair of dress slacks or dress it down with jeans and boots. This will be my go-to cardigan for years to come. The waffle weave is also very attractive.

So Pretty
November 10, 2010

This sweater is typical Patagonia quality-terrific! Unbelievably soft, style is great, color is rich. Loved everything about it...except the length. I am 4'11" and it fell a bit too long. Wish it came in petite. Had to return it-so sad.

Sumptous coziness and warmth
January 24, 2012

Thought long and hard about purchasing this sweater after reading some reviews that were not particularly favorable in regards to pilling. The sweater that I received is not demonstrating any tendency toward pilling but it has not been washed or dryed as yet. The overall length is great, the sleeves are plenty long and the overall construction and material composition looks to be quite satisfactory. I purchased it in the Seaweed color and it is a very muted, medium shade of a pleasant green that is very nice. I reside in a very frigid and windy area of the country and this sweater is really an asset in staying warm in the house during the winter and I would have to imagine would be adequate during spring and autumn when temperatures are milder. It really is a comfortable and cozy piece.

cuddly and soft
October 06, 2012

I love this sweater! Super soft, and perfect for fall. No pilling -- yet, but I can see it might if it comes in contact with clasps, velcro, etc. I was delighted to discover it had pockets. Tend to wear it unbuttoned. I am a large 5'4" - I wish it was a couple inches shorter (or I was a couple inches taller!), but I'm keeping it for the reasons mentioned above.

Pros: soft

Great style
November 08, 2011

This sweater is made of exceptionally soft and luxurious merino wool. The style is classic and has a very flattering fit. It is versatile and has become a favorite sweater in my wardrobe. It can be dressed up or down and very well priced for a quality made, 100 percent merino wool sweater.

Pros: soft

Soft, stylish, and warm
March 20, 2012

As a huge Patagonia fan, I was not disappointed with the style and quality of this sweater. The burgandy color is a rich red which went great with jeans. I wore this sweater all weekend at a yoga retreat inbetween classes and it was warm, soft and not at all itchy. If you want a long, stylish sweater that could just as easily be worn to work or an evening out, or to a yoga class, this is the one for you. The length hits mid thigh and has a lovely drape and flattering style. Runs true to size. I am 5'4" and 120 lb and the small is perfect! Please continue to carry this sweater!

New Favorite Sweater
November 13, 2012

I pretty much never take this sweater off. I like that it's warm but soft, and not bulky. So far the pilling mentioned by other reviewers has not shown up. If I could afford it I would buy another right now! One fit note is that the arms are a bit on the long side but for me that's a plus.

Pros: cozy, Cons: spendy

so warm and stylish!
October 28, 2011

When I first tried on this sweater I instantly fell in love with it! The fit is very figure flattering and slimming (I am eight months pregnant and the small still fits me perfect, it's more a flex fit then a slim fit because the wool stretches and has give). The bordeaux color is much more red, not the wine purple color like pictured. Go for it, you will not regret it!
