Women's Micro Puff Hooded Jacket 4.8 5 30 30
WAY COOL PARKA LOVE this Patagonia Jacket!!!! Love the color (Lagoon), the fit is just perfect (XS), and the feel is so wonderful - so light and warm! Love the stylish look too! Perfect choice for the rest of the winter & spring, and beyond.... Can't be happier for the perfect February birthday gift for myself! PLUS - GREAT SALE PRICE!!! February 1, 2012
So light, it's hard to believe it can be so warm! I love this jacket! It's sporty, super light-weight, has a great fit (not bulky), and I'm so happy with the blue color. I've been wearing it every day since I got it two cold weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. January 18, 2012
lightweight warmth i discovered the Patagonia micro (and the nano) puff jackets this year. I love the softness and warmth without the stiffness and bulk of other insulated jackets. i am 5'3" medium build. the medium jacket fits well and still has room for a sweater underneath, if needed. it is very easily packable without getting a rumpled appearance. December 17, 2011
Cool Jacket Read others' reviews so selected the size small. Sadly, it was too small to layer comfortably. Exchanged for medium. Sleeves a bit longer than I would have liked but OK. Seems will be very toasty when layered - although not cold enough yet to test it! November 8, 2011
sweet jacket My uses for this jacket in my recent 2-week back country AK trip: 1. under a drysuit while paddling in the cold 2. under Marmot Precip jacket while around camp (not waterproof) 3. sleeping in when the bag wasn't warm enough 4. pillow Great jacket for layering in the rapid-fire weather changes in Katmai NP. Also bought & used the pants. Love 'em. The only gripe w the pant was non-adjustable waist. The velcro would pop open often and was somewhat annoying. Zip fly was sweet for a female that uses a freshette. July 5, 2011
Warm, stylish Slightly larger than I expected (I am 5'9", 145 lbs and bought a medium) but this just lets you put on more layers underneath if desired. Overall, nice and warm, even just on its own. I thought the blue color was really nice. June 23, 2011
mom loved it! I bought this for my Mom just because and she loved everything about it. The blue color was beautiful and very true to size. She has commented on how warm this jacket is and very waterproof. This jacket does not poof and is somewhat form fitting without being to tight. Overall a good investment. June 23, 2011
Quality product This is a great Patagonia jacket. Nice and lightweight. It feels like I am wearing a very comfy sweatshirt, but better. I love it, except for the color, I don't love the Imperial Blue. The color looks like it would be on a boys jacket... February 15, 2011
Great jacket This is a basic, great winter/colder weather jacket. It's like a "puffy" jacket, but the best part is that it's not "too puffy" and bulky. It DOES fit on the bigger size; i have another patagonia jacket that is a small, and the small in this jacket is definitely too big (XS seems perfect). The hood is a plus; it makes the jacket seem much warmer when there's a breeze. Zippers on the pockets is good--my treasures won't fall out easily. I went with the black jacket, and it's a good, basic jacket that will last a long time. January 25, 2011
It was not warm more than thinking. It was not warm more than thinking. It was good that it was a warm a little more commodity though the cost performance was good. No be known probably because of the expected value high because of special Patagonia it. January 8, 2011
A winner jacket! This jacket is another one of Patagonia's bright stars. The fit is good, it is lightweight, well constructed, and is quite versatile. It can be used alone or under a shell. I like having the hood for more options of use. December 23, 2010
HIT! Excellent jacket for active people who are out and about in the autumn snow biking, hiking or out for a snowball fight! I love everything about this jacket from its different colors to its fit (I'm 5'4" and wear S with room for a sweater/layer underneath) to its ultra light weight (packs away into little pouch!). It's ideal if you are looking for a versatile and sporty jacket that has style AND performance that isn't bulky like most winter jackets are. November 28, 2010
Great jacket!!! As always, another great Patagonia product. Very warm jacket and super light. Fits nicely my 5'6'' and 165 lbs body, actually has a great slimming shape to it. Nice design of the hood, does not fall onto your face, allows for great visibility. Thinking of buying one for my husband... November 26, 2010
Light Best thing about this jacket, is how easy and light it is going to be for a long trip. It's not too shabby looking, either. October 24, 2010
Too big Having never worn a Patagonia coat before, I wear size medium to large in most outerwear so I ordered a size M in this coat. It was way too big so I sent it back. A small would probably fit perfect. October 11, 2010
Compact and keeps me warm! I was looking for a warm coat with very little bulk...and this was perfect. Runs big FYI. Comfortable and holds up against wind and rain too. Dries fast. My only complaint is that it snags on things easily...but maybe that has more to do with my clumsiness? Happy with my purchase! February 9, 2010
Great jacket, very practical, and great hood! This jacket has nice long sleeves and a great hood. I live in Vermont and it is the perfect weight for crisp fall days as well as cold snowy ones. The hood stays on in the wind! The length is a bit short, but is great for activities where your hips need to be free. Awesome overall. It's a serious bummer that Patagonia has chosen to stop making these. January 4, 2010
Amazingly light and warm Awesome product from a great company. Super toasty jacket. Stuck in the midwest, where it seems to have a steady 20 mph breeze and single digit temps this jacket will see some use. You will not be disappointed with a purchase of this jacket. Altrec was flawless. January 4, 2010
Great piece of gear! This is a fantastic jacket for active pursuits in cold temperatures. I live in Seattle, and wear this for winter hiking and cross-country skiing, as well as just kicking around. I'm a size 6 or 8, and tend to fall just between patagonia's small and medium, so I got a medium, which allows for a little extra layering if need be. I usually have problems with sleeves being to short, but the sleeves are nice and long on this jacket. And the hood cinching mechanism on this jacket is cool! You just pull one string at the back of the hood and the whole thing snugs right down. Nice! December 17, 2009
Great Service Great jacket, warm, light, and comfortable. The first selection every time I head out the door. Altrec also has great customer service! December 16, 2009
Very attractive and athletic I am a size 10. I bought a medium and fits me perfect. The hood fits over my helmet and it has enough room to "be athletic" on real cold days. Lots of days at Smith in this jacket. November 26, 2009
Beautiful coat This jacket is such a pretty color and so light weight! It is very nicely made and looks like it will fit my daughter perfectly! November 17, 2009
Great coat - light and warm Great coat - light and warm! I live in NorthEast Ohio. I've not tried it yet. But I am sure I will not be cold next winter. June 7, 2009
Light and warm This jacket keeps me warm in most of days in winter (15~25F). It also works nicely in spring. I like the water resistant feature coming with this high-loft insulation jacket. I just hope the hood could be larger that can cover most of my face during rainy or windy days. (54 with size M) June 5, 2009
AWESOME! Live in NYC w/the weather going crazy from low tens to the high forties and this jacket (especially the hood) keeps me nice, warm, and out of the cold. Oh, it's also so light that I could barely feel... absolutely love it! Now if only they have this longer so my leg could stay warm too... January 5, 2009
super warm I love this jacket but as always, I find myself right between the small and medium in patagonia's sizing. The medium is huge! I end up exchanging patagonia stuff 90% of the time for a different size because it is so inconsistent. So if you are between sizes, go down a size for the micropuff...even if you do plan on layering underneath it. Other than that, it is typical patagonia...light, warm and high quality, just a little skewed on the sizing. Luckily Altrec is awesome and exchanged it with ease. Oh, and for reference I am a small in this jacket (5'8" 125 lbs and not well endowed in the northern region...if that helps) December 27, 2008
Worth every penny I live in Atlanta, GA and it is freaking 18 degrees today! Perfect opp to try my new jacket and it passed! I am wearing a fleece under but am really toasty. Wind is really bad last few days, too but my jacket is holding up great. Another bonus about this jacket is that is you're a weirdo vegan like me the jacket is 100% free of any animal products like down or wool. Because of the material it's made of all that dog hair just slides right off and it doesn't seem to absorb smells (camp fire/ cigarette smoke)too much either. I love it. December 22, 2008
Great Jacet Live in Colorado and it gets -40 sometimes and this jacket keeps me warm and toasty and it is extremely comfortable, can't wait to go snowboarding. November 1, 2008
I love this jacket I bought one for myself a year ago and bought another one again this year for my gf. It's light, warm and well-designed. The hood is also a plus, overall it's ideal for cold weather trekking. September 15, 2008
Buy the jacket. It is warm, light, squishable, keeps me dry in a downpour and has a hood. It is a great jacket. April 9, 2008
