Description

Pull this Patagonia jacket on as an outer layer on a chilly fall evening in the high country or wear it under your winter shell at the summit for a reassuring burst of warmth and comfort. The Patagonia Women's Nano Puff Jacket is as lightweight and packable as the Nano Puff Pullover, but with the added convenience and versatility of a full length zipper. The polyester ripstop shell and liner fabrics are made from eco-friendly recycled soda bottles, recycled fabrics and garments for a small footprint you can feel good about. Treated with a Deluge® DWR finish to make it water-resistant, this winter jacket will dry quickly and slide effortlessly against other layers. Sandwiched between this windblocking fabric is 60g PrimaLoft® One polyester insulation that will trap heat inside even if it gets a little damp. The unique quilting pattern is more than just stylish, it holds the insulation in place to extend the lifetime of this beloved winter coat. Comfy elasticized cuffs and a drawcord at the hem keep chilly breezes out and 2 front pockets will stash your chapstick or warm up chilly hands. From a fast and light backpacking trip on the Tahoe Rim Trail in the fall to a split board trip up Mt Rose this winter, the Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket for women will be a favorite go-to jacket that stuffs into its own chest pocket for easy packing.

Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket
March 05, 2012

I got this for my mom to wear around the house and to layer under other winter jackets. The jacket is the perfect sweater-weight and the nylon outer shell makes it easy to slide on under other coats. She loves it and it looks great on.

Love love love it!
February 20, 2012

I was finding my heavy down to be just too much bulk for this mild winter and needed something lighter with a bit of warmth. Jacket fits true to size with room for layering and comfortable for trekking on campus when my backpack is already weighing me down. Stylish enough to dress up with a scarf cap and tall boots! Great purchase and price!

very nice mid layer
January 31, 2012

I was looking for a wind blocking but warm and non bulky mid layer. I usually ski on really cold days with a heavy base layer, a fleece and a waterproof shell. I felt like air was getting through and wanted something that would retain the heat from the fleece jacket without adding bulk. The Patagonia nano puff jacket did a wonderful job. When I first got the jacket I was concerned because it is so thin and light however it turns out it retains warmth really well. The material is also so soft and confortable ans does not constraint the body movements at all. I am 5'3'' and 125lbs, I got the jacket in a size small (one size bigger tahn my base layers) it fit perfectly (with a little room) on top of my 2 layers. The jacket looks really nice too. It is fitted at the waste so I can also use it as a spring jacket to run errands in the city. IT was a great purchase!

Love this jacket! Lightweight, packable, beautiful color selection, and Patagonia quality through and through. Love that the wind doesn't permeate it, the water is shed from it, and it can be worn alone or under another jacket. Heaven.

Awesome Coat
January 07, 2012

This is an awesome coat. Very lightweight, packable, comfortable, and very warm. I noted that the fit was a little large, but the coat was for my daughter who is very tall and thin. The sleeves and length were long enough on her 6'2 frame

Nano puff jacket
December 27, 2011

Seems to be a great jacket. I purchased it for a liner in a ski shell that my daughter already has. It is not a heavy jacket, but is perfect for what I purchased it for. My daughter has worn this jacket on it's own a few times and said despite it's light weight it is warm.

December 15, 2011

bought this for my wife for her birthday, she is always complaining about not being warm enough on windy cold days, or having to wear too many layers on the ski hills. she has used this for a mid layer and says it does the job well. Will know more next summer when it is put to use for kayak trips and overnight hikes.

Great jacket
December 13, 2011

I've had the nano puff vest for 2 or so years and it's my favorite vest. I wear it year round for skiing, hiking, and riding horses. I wanted a warmer option, so purchased the nano puff pullover. It was more sweatshirt like and didn't have pockets, so I returned for the jacket. I am very pleased I did, as the pockets are worth the extra money. I'm 5'4" and 135 lbs and got the medium. I like a little extra room for layering and range of motion, and the medium is perfect. If I wanted a more fitted look, I would have returned for a small. The styling is great, and the green is super bright and fun. Great jacket!

Puff Perfection
December 11, 2011

What can one say about the Nano Puff that hasn't already been said? It is feather-weight heaven that feels like you're wearing nothing at all, except it keeps you warm enough when you need light protection and full flexibility. My two Nano Puffs are my general go-to jackets now for hiking in the winter desert and just knocking around town. Love the styling, how the women's version dips in slightly at the waist. And the colors....divine!

Love Patagonia
October 07, 2011

The Nano Puff Jacket has become my favorite jacket for everything. First of all for travel it is outstanding as it takes so little room in a suitcase or backpack, even a purse! I have washed mine twice and it still looks new. I love all the colors. Sizing runs true. I gave this to all my family members as gifts and they are now believers. Thank you Patagonia for making a great product. Plan to order another color this season.

great product, weird color combo
September 12, 2011

I love Patagonia products, and like the new nanopuff jackets. I just ordered a zip up, and like the dark plum color. It's great. But the lining is magenta and it shows if the jacket isn't zipped up all the way. Seriously, Patagonia, PINK? I wish they'd make the nanopuff line in the same colors as the mens'. If not for the weird colors that womens' nanopuffs come in, this product would be excellent.

Great multi-purpose jacket
August 16, 2011

I like the cut of the design, which has feminine lines, but not form-fitting. I like the water repellent finish, which keeps me dry and warm in a light shower, but still breathes. It's a perfect layering piece for cool conditions that might turn wet. I would buy another in a new color.

Well fitting sleek jacket
July 29, 2011

I have a nano puff pullover which I found to be a little snug in the medium. I am 5'4" and 130 lb. However the medium in this jacket fits perfectly. It fits slightly close, but not tight, so it gives a flattering profile. It is so light weight and yet quite warm, just right for cool evenings or early morning in the transition seasons. I was a little worried about some snagging I experienced with the pullover, but this jacket seems to be excellently made and I don't think I'll have that problem.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, very light weight, most comfortable with movement

OMG !
July 19, 2011

So I am the kind of person who does not want to go and buy clothing that EVERYONE else is buying. Well, I broke down and bought the this jacket.....it is everything folks were telling me and more. Not too cold, not too hot ( I tend to run hot). So light weight and compressible that you will take it everywhere. Go ahead, I know I broke ya, GET ONE. I would like to have more than one color cuz they are very HAPPY colors !!!!! I got the Amaranth ! Runs pretty close to size. I am between a small and medium and the small is great w/o a lot of layers underneath, if you layer, you might want bigger size. I want this for cool evening in Oregon.

beautiful jacket, but fits funny in arms
July 13, 2011

I love this jacket, but I returned in because it was really bulky on me in the upper arms, and the cut make me look flat -chested. I supect these are idiosnycrasies due to how I am built, and not the jacket. ( slim arms, small chest) . I found that the patagonia down sweater jacket was more flattering. The fabric is beautiful, and it is like putting on a delicate powder puff of warm. The white color ended up having a euro-techno look to me, which could be very elegant on the right person.

Fantastic Jacket
June 13, 2011

This is a terrific jacket - one of those that you never knew what you did without it before you had it. The weight is perfect as a mid-layer under a shell when the temperature drops, but works just as well as an outer layer for warmer days. The styling is simple mountain lifestyle, but does just fine walking around town. Fit is true to size. I'm 5'7", 150 lb athletic build and the medium fits me well.

Great Lightweight Jacket!
May 24, 2011

I love love love this jacket. It is very light weight, compressible, comfortable, and warm! I am 5'4", 120 lbs and a usual Patagonia small. I got a small in this jacket and it fits a little large. The xs would have worked but there wouldn't have been much room for layering. Overall very happy with this jacket. Highly recommended! I'll be getting the vest next!

Nano Puff
March 31, 2011

I like this jacket for its super light weight while still providing some warmth. Runs large. At 5'8" and 145 lb, I usually am either a medium or large. The medium fits, with room for a light fleece underneath. In trying to decide between this and 2 similar Patagonia products, the Micro Puff and the the Down Sweater, I like the Down Sweater because the fabric is nicer and it offers more warmth for almost the same weight. But the style of Micro and Nano Puffs looks nicer. Altrec, as always, is great to deal with.

Great, very lightweight but warm jacket
March 26, 2011

These are great jackets. Like the Patagonia NanoPuff pullover, these are extremely lightweight for the warmth provided. Cute cut and fit, some great colors to chose from; I have black, amaranth and acai. The only small problem I've discovered is that the stitching can get snagged by cat claws and an occasional rose thorn. Doesn't break the thread, just pulls it a bit, and can be teased back into lying flat. Overall a fantastic jacket for the SF Bay Area.

Excellent Jacket!
March 11, 2011

What more can I say? Another great product form Patagonia! I love this jacket- functional, great quality, washes fantastically, fun to wear. I am an avid hiker. I love the trail, especially in winter. This jacket works great layered over capilene in weather down to the 30's. I have worn it for hours in misty weather and the water just rolled off of it. And the colors are fun and happy- I have the purple and get tons of compliments on it. I normally wear a size 10 or 12 and find that the large fits best in this jacket, especially to accomodate layers.

December 21, 2010

I am 5'9" and this jacket fits me perfect. When I'm out riding or skiing and stretching my arms my sleeves are still long enough. It's so light, yet so insulating, perfect must have, I can use it under a jacket, a vest, a hoody or on its own. Packs up in its own pocket making it very convenient as a carry along. This is my second Patagonia jacket, expensive but well made and great attention to the little details. Two Thumbs up!

December 02, 2010

I bought this coat for layering with my ski/shell jackets. However, I have been wearing it ALL the time! It's perfect for running errands and while driving. I'm normally between a medium and large in Patagonia, I ordered a large so I could wear sweaters underneath and there is plenty of room. I even ordered my husband one in a men's the next week!

GREAT jacket!
November 23, 2010

just rcvd the new nano puff jacket and it's everything i expected it to be! the purple color is gorgeous! the fit is a tiny bit roomy, but that's ok b/c i am expecting to wear it over bulkier baselayers. its fairly lightweight, so will be great for skiing, paddle, snowshoeing, etc. i rated it as "warm" because although its late nov, we havent had many cold days in New England yet, so i havent been able to truly test it out yet. however, i am going to give it the benefit of doubt b/c patagonia has never let me down....and i have A LOT of patagucci :) this one's winner...bring on the cold!

Excellent jacket especially for hiking or travel since it can be stuffed into its small pocket. Very warm and great for layering. If you buy your normal size, it will have room for a thin fleece and baselayer underneath . Without layers underneath, it doesn't look huge or baggy. This makes the jacket very versatile! It is a bit pricey, but it seems to be worth it to me when I can consider how lightweight it is, how small it can compact, and its warmth.

October 18, 2010

I've barely taken my nano puff off--so comfy and snug without being too hot or too heavy. I bought this for a trip to Spain this winter and I think it's going to be great. It is warm but not too warm and although very supple, surprisingly tough and wind resistant. My only dissatisfaction is that the hips and cuffs are a little too tight and sleeves a bit too long. I'm small--115 lbs, 5'2"-- and bought an extra small but I always have this problem with Patagonia's fit. I think it's going to stand up well. I wish there was a nano puff long coat.

Great packable jacket
September 08, 2010

I found the Nano Puff jacket to fit a little larger than the Nano Puff pullover, so you may want to consider sizing down, unless you plan to wear a lot of layers underneath. Overall it's a great jacket, super lightweight, and packable. It's great for traveling or for carrying in your backpack.

a fun, puffy jacket -- warm but feather-light

Really lightweight jacket
August 18, 2010

It is amazing how technology continues to provide us with new advances in lightweight warmth. This jacket is water resistant and packs down into nothing. I wear this jacket for extra warmth in camp when bike touring; it works for me as part of a layering system for temps down to about 40. For Patagonia, it is generously sized, presumably for layering.
