Description

Chilly mornings in basecamp, simulclimbing by headlamp and cragging in the Creek before spring has sprung all give the Patagonia Women's Nano Puff® Vest its raison detre. The latest of the Nano Puff lineage, here by demand from our customers and ambassadors alike, keeps the tradition alive with superb compressibility, featherlight weight and surprising warmth. Worn as an outer or midlayer, the vest features a premium PrimaLoft® One insulation that traps heat and a 100% recycled polyester (with a Deluge® DWR finish) shell that stops the wind and sheds moisture. Finer points include a drawcord hem, two zippered handwarmer pockets and an internal chest pocket (with clip-in loop) into which the vest stuffs. sturdy layering piece
February 16, 2012

The color I choose, turquoise, made coordinating with other pieces a bit of a challenge, but the vest is light, warm and fun to wear. It allows unrestricted movement, making it great for climbing. Wish it had some lycra in it so it would be more form fitting; there is no give to this vest, so you need to nail the size to make it look the best.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use
Cons: Cost

Sizing is off
January 04, 2012

I have worn Patagonia clothing for over 20 years and I always wear a medium or large, depending on the product and the fit I am desiring. I ordered this in a large so I could layer it, but this vest was way too small for me and so I have to return it. Like all Patagonia products, it is well make and 'as advertised' in all other aspects, just not the sizing.

Ditch the fleece

The Nano Puff delivers instant warmth, a wind-shedding layer for your core and packs away into the corner of your pack top-pocket or in a ball on your harness for those patient belays.

great to take everywhere
October 02, 2011

Love this vest because you can pack it really small into it's own pocket . It will be perfect for ski touring - lightweight, takes up no space in the backpack, breathable and so warm. Only wish it would be a bit longer, I could have gone with the small but ordered the medium because I tried the the small in the store and it was not long enough for me in the torso.

sweet vest

Love the vest! Use it everywhere - from work to skiing. It bit on the large size but I'm am a small frame. But I use it for layering and it perfect for that. Plus it's compact and easy to pack away. Great for chasing the chills away without the bulk.

Great vest but, beware it's huge!
August 25, 2011

I love this vest but had to downsize to a small and even that is a little big. Unless you have a very large chest make sure you downsize...even if you plan to wear many layers underneath! Once you have the right size it's very flattering even though it's puffy.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use
Cons: Cost, need to downsize

Love the color
August 22, 2011

i had to get advice on the size, because I did not want a vest swimming on me. I am 5'7" and 125lbs. They recommended a size small and it fits perfect. This vest is light and for my climate, I can wear year round.

Great for Layering
July 21, 2011

I really could have gotten the XSmall, but I like the small for layering. It works great for taking the dog for a walk on a foggy summer day. I acutally wore it garage saling and got some dark grease on it. I came home and treated it with the stain removers and it was like new again. Very durable and cozy when you need just enough to keep you at the right temperture.

Sleek and comfortable
July 13, 2011

I have the Nano Pullover and thought I would try the vest. It has the same light weight feel and an outer layer slides right over the vest. I wear it inside the house and out. I love to take it on trips; it takes little room in the suitcase and you can stuff in its pocket without a wrinkle. It does run larger than the pullover.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, very comfortable

Runs big, bummer!
July 13, 2011

The vest was amazing on all fronts except for fit. I wear a medium in everything patagonia and always have. I ordered a medium in this vest and I could fit another person in the chest area with me. Way too big. Around the waist and hips, it fits like a normal patagonia medium. I am 5'7, 140lbs, 36B - I think I will try to order a small and see how that goes.

Nice Lightweight Vest
May 16, 2011

Overall a great vest from Patagonia. I also have the Nano Puff Pullover, so I decided to try the vest. It's a great lightweight, packable piece. The only thing I found is that it runs a full size large, so unless you're going to wear heavy layers under it, I would recommend going down a size.

Versatile & Stylish
April 27, 2011

This is a great vest for travel, hiking or around town. It is extremely lightweight, comfortable--and best of all--stylish and flattering. It is shaped in at the waist, and looks good whether fully zipped, part way zipped or worn open. Pockets are roomy enough for your whole hand to fit comfortably, yet without added bulkiness to the sleek, fitted look of the torso lines. The aquamarine color is stunning. I love this vest!

Pros: Great design, Ease of use
